Forza Motorsport developer Turn 10 Studios has issued a joint statement with mobile developer Hutch to announce that the companies are collaborating on a new automotive game for mobile devices.
A first look at Forza Motorsport 8 may be just around the corner. At this year’s Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, Turn 10 will be discussing ray tracing techniques, with likely applications to the next chapter in the Forza Motorsport series.
Last month, Turn 10 gave a brief look into the future of Forza Motorsport. Creative director Chris Esaki confirmed the next entry in the franchise had entered its “second sprint”.
Earlier this week, Turn 10 concluded development on Forza Motorsport 7 with the August Update. With the update came the final addition to the car roster in the form of the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport. That wasn’t all as further improvements to Forza Race Regulations were also in the final update.
UPDATE (March 04): “We have nothing to announce at this time,” reads the official response from a Forza representative when we asked about the Forza Street mention.
