This one slipped through the cracks. In a week that’s seen a new trailer focusing on the game’s tracks, as well as the addition of Ferrari’s 2013 F1 contender, it’s been hard keeping track of all the news surrounding Assetto Corsa. To wrap up the weekend, we’ve got a collection of over a dozen images of what’s sure to be a popular car in this week’s Red Pack: the Maserati 250F.
The 250F in the images is the earlier straight-six-powered model, lacking the characteristic bumps on the nose the V12 model needed to clear its carburettors. Regardless, Kunos will be including both versions in the game. The inline-six car enjoyed success right from the off, winning its first Grand Prix in the hands of Juan Manuel Fangio (in his home country no less). Sir Stirling Moss took the 250F to two more wins in 1956, and would go on to call it the best front-engined F1 car he ever drove.
In 1957, Fangio drove the 250F like a man possessed at the Nurburgring Grand Prix, making up a 48-second gap after a botched pit stop to take the lead from Mike Hawthorn’s Ferrari just before entering the final, 22nd lap. The win sealed his fifth World Championship title, and solidified the 250F’s place in the history books.
The Red Pack launches this Thursday, July 14. The 250F will be joined by the Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV, Ferrari SF15-T, Ferrari F138, and others. The pack will also include Austria’s Red Bull Ring.
Head on over to our Assetto Corsa forum to discuss this and more about the game.

Now I feel a bit jealous. I’m argentinian and been waiting for 50’s F-1 cars in GT since GT2, would love to drive the 250F, even if the Alfetta is probably his most famous car (Fangio I mean)
Absolutely stunning. Can’t wait to take it for a lap around the Nurburgring, I expect it’ll be a real handful! Didn’t realize we were getting the 6 and 12 cylinder versions as well. Great news.
Are you listening Yaz. This is how a “Real Simulator” is run.
Yaz, Kaz whats the difference? People like me have moved on.
No you didn’t moved on…
No GTS or PS4 in my future. GTP is a good place to read about ALL driving games. In fact this is an Assetto Corsa article. Yaz and PD will not get one more penny from me, I have moved on to better things, PC gaming.
Welcome to the darksiDE. ..lol.
Cool. Does anyone know if these new DLC cars will be included in the console release?
dp3,2,1 will be free, rest at a discount and future content isnt known yet.
