Slightly Mad Studios made a surprise announcement earlier today. A new Project CARS game is coming — and this time, it’s going mobile.
Project CARS GO will be a new joint venture between SMS and South Korean publisher Gamevil. While few details are available as of writing — including a release date — Pocket Gamer reports it will feature vehicle customization.
That would be a first for the series, and could be a hint at some cross-pollination between the mobile title and Slightly Mad’s possible Fast & Furious game.
SMS CEO Ian Bell shares his thoughts:
“Alongside Gamevil, Project CARS GO will put players in the driver’s seat to experience the adrenaline pumping racing game in a whole new way. The racing genre has a large, dedicated fan base, who are going to be stomping the gas pedal and burning rubber very soon.”
Consider us intrigued. Stay tuned for more Project CARS news, including GO.
