Assetto Corsa’s console release is just over a week away, and to bide the time between now and then, Team VVV has uploaded a new video to their official YouTube channel showcasing the entire roster of 90+ cars that will be available at launch.
Console players eager to get the game in their hands will be delighted to know that every additional car leading up to, and including Bonus Pack 2 originally released on PC will be available in one way or another. This is of course in addition to the Praga R1, Audi A1 S1, Ferrari FXX K and 488 GTB that will be available on the console release at no additional cost, whereas PC players will have to acquire said cars courtesy of the “Tripl3” Pack and the 1.8 update, both releasing later this month.
This leaves the more recent additions found in the Japanese Car Pack and Red Pack out of the hands of console players (at least for the time being). While specific details have yet to be revealed, this will draw an interesting parallel between the two platform builds. In the latest Look What the Cat Hacked In developer stream, it was implied PC users would be able to purchase the upcoming “Tripl3” car pack at a discounted price, and this could prove as the solution when the latest car packs are made available to consoles.
Stay tuned for more on Assetto Corsa leading up to its release on the PS4 and Xbox One on August 26th in Europe, and August 30th in North America, and everything following thereafter.

Not a big selection, but probably enough to get most people by until the next car pack gets introduced. However, the range of cars is nice and it’s nice to see some different additions that could make things a little more interesting. I’ll probably wait for a price drop to get it as well, so it’ll be interesting to see what y’all say about it before I make my decision.
Every German retailer lists the game for the 25th, so we Germans probably get it a day earlier and the 26th is probably the UK date. Hopefully one retailer gets it out even earlier.
The Cars listed as DLC are coming with every new retail copy or with the download version. So you get them for free.
Just one more week to go ?
I neeeeeeeeed the japanese car pack
Pretty disappointed that the red pack and Japanese pack are excluded. Aventador SV and Levante I was looking forward to driving the most. Better be Dlc within the first few days…
The Maserati Levante is a free DLC out of the Red Pack so theorycally you should get it for free in console version Too…
In car numbers Assetto looks awesome but it seems that the track list is preety small, isn’t it?
AC has a smaller track count cause almost all the tracks are laser scanned and this is a time and money consuming work…
But you have the most faithfull tracks available on console…
The 488 GT3 better be in the game!
This list is everything in the console version at launch, so if the 488 GT3 will be included, it’ll be DLC
That’s fine with me, just as long as it’s added at some point
I’ve always wondered how and if Kunos will introduce “Mods” to the console version of Assetto Corsa. It would be nice to have the ability to import liveries, tracks and cars.
While still having free cars, tracks pushed to us.
I own the PC version of Assetto Corsa and Project Cars. And soon I will own both Assetto and Project on PS4. So I hope both franchises figure out a way to let users install mods for cars and tracks.
The mods could get introduced if there’s enough demand though I think it’s unlikely. Which is a shame, I’d really like to try the Reliant Robin https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Atrll2yr8Ds
I hope that at least custom liveries are available…
Some cars by Kunos have few liveries or just Too bland ones and the community is making Amazing ones (for example for the GT3 cars you can find a lot of liveries used by real teams at 24h LeMans, 24h SPA, Japanese GT300, and so on)…
Personally, I’m fine with mods staying on the PC platform only. It’s a quality vs quantity situation I’ve dealt with before, and I’d rather leave it in the hands of the devs themselves. As ever, YMMV.
I’m not sure if licensing issues through mods are different than on pc. There is obviously no problem with liveries as we can see with Forza. I would think that Microsoft would be against free cars and tracks through mods though. With Sony it might be different, seeing how they did it with Little Big Planet
Keeps on improving everytime I hear about this game.
