A fresh new Summer season has arrived on Forza Horizon 4. Series 17 officially kicks off this week following the early release of the latest update. With most excitement concentrated on the new Eliminator game mode, there’s still plenty on offer for those after seasonal content.
The new Playlist update brings in the Summer season, with new and returning prizes for 50% and 80% completion. This week also sees the debut of a lightweight French sports car.
Let’s dive in to see what’s in store.
Alpine Makes An Entrance
Leading the charge for Playlist prizes this week is the 2017 Alpine A110. The revival of the iconic brand is more than just a tribute to the A110 of the 1960s.
With a focus on lightness, the A110 has just 248hp from its 1.8-liter turbocharged engine. However, weighing in at just over 2,400lb, the A110 has the performance to keep up with more powerful cars in its class. The A110 should prove to be one of the most fun cars to throw around the roads of the UK.
For those after more grunt, there’s the 1965 Shelby Daytona Coupe. Designed for sports car racing, the raucous Shelby produces nearly 400hp from its 4.7-liter V8. With 1960’s handling, the Shelby will be a real handful out on the open road.
Prizes for completion of the season include the Maserati Levante S and the “Happy Holidays!” quick chat phrase. Seasonal championship prizes include the Alfa Romeo Giulia Forza Edition and the Maserati A6GCS.
The standout prize this week is the Bugatti EB110. Designed as one of the fastest cars of the 1990s, the EB110 was the only car made by Bugatti during the brand’s time as an Italian marque, before its liquidation and sale to Proton — and subsequent purchase by Volkswagen. The EB110’s 3.5-liter, quad-turbocharged V12 makes 611hp, propelling the Bugatti to nearly 220mph. You can win the EB110 from the “Millennial Cup” championship.
A Showcase Remix event returns for the Summer. “Nine and Three Quarters” sees players take charge of a Ford Anglia in a race to Edinburgh against the Flying Scotsman. In addition, this month’s Rivals event will have you blasting around the Railyard Cross Country Circuit in a Ford RS200.

Finally, get creative with your skill score combos, as you’ll need to earn a total of 75,000 Skill Score to finish this week.

With Christmas fast approaching, Playground Games’ advent calendar is offering more free cars.
At time of writing, the latest car available today is the Ford Focus RS RX. This version is the car that starred in Ken Block’s Gymkhana Nine. With a heavily turbocharged engine, the Focus kicks out over 600hp — more than enough for pulling huge skids to rack up Skill Score combos.
You’ll have to be quick to grab the Ford, as another new car will be available tomorrow.
Festive clothing items this week include Snow Boots, Santa’s Running Shorts and some Reindeer Antlers.
