Thrustmaster Announces TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod

Thrustmaster has unveiled the latest in its sim racing accessory ecosystem. Dubbed the TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod, the new piece of kit should please racers and drifters alike.

As the name implies, the TSS is another part of Thrustmaster’s ongoing collaboration with Sparco. What began with the TS-XW, followed by the Sparco R383, now produces this chunky handbrake. The TSS features a full-scale replica of the handles found on Sparco’s real-world drifting and rally offerings.

Given the general use of a handbrake, the TSS looks built for the job at hand (pun intended). According to Thrustmaster, this chunky bit of kit is 90% metal. It comes with a variety of mounting options, including rig usage thanks to M6 bolts. Players looking to mount it to a table can buy a separate item.

It isn’t only a get-sideways stick, either: the TSS has two modes, allowing players to swap between a handbrake and a sequential shifter. That makes the adjustable handle all the more important, as sim racers should be able to modify the angle to their liking.

Now, a bit of bad news (if you’re a console gamer): the TSS is a PC-exclusive product at the time. On the bright side, it works with many of Thrustmaster’s existing wheels (including the T-GT), as well as in conjunction with other brands’ offerings.

The TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod is now available at a suggested price of $269.99 USD.
