Tickets for Gran Turismo’s Montreal World Series Event Are Sold Out

With over a week to go until the event, tickets to the first live Gran Turismo World Series of 2024 — and the first Gran Turismo event in Canada — have sold out.

Montreal becomes the second Gran Turismo event in a row to sell out, after the 2023 World Finals were watched by a capacity crowd in Barcelona last year. Of course, while a World Finals sell-out in a GT-crazy country like Spain wasn’t too surprising, a sell-out for the first event of the year in North America indicates a strong start for the World Series.

It’s also worth noting the new event format is more spectator-friendly, with both the Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup happening on the same day.

General admission tickets could be purchased for either the Manufacturers or Nations events at $15C each, or a single “Gold Ticket” could be purchased for $40C, granting access to both along with a limited-edition GT t-shirt. All ticket types have sold out.

The Auditorium at Usine-C in Montreal

The competition is taking place at Usine C, an industrial factory converted into an event space with an auditorium that can host nearly 500 people. It’s not clear exactly how many tickets have been sold or what the venue configuration will look like yet, but it is equipped to handle a larger crowd.

Anticipation for Montreal is growing after confirmation the World Series event would be used to reveal information about Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.49 — an unprecedented announcement which has fueled speculation the next patch could include a more significant content update.

No new tracks are listed on the official race line-up, but an updated, race-spec Genesis Vision GT has already been unveiled and will almost certainly be coming to GT7 sooner rather than later.
