I used a Toyota Aqua then a Honda Euro-R ’02 and for the final I tied with the Enzo in my 512 with 400hp but crushed them all with one of my Enzos 449hp. Should have stuck with the 512 Enzo was too easy, oh well! Now remove Stock-Yard.

Although I do think Tsukuba is a bit overused, it’s perfect for races like these with low pp cars. And heck, I won the race with a specced up fiat 500 ’68 (with a bit of blocking required admittedly) which was huge fun. The point I’m trying to make is this event is the perfect opportunity to use all those low pp cars that don’t get much of a run out.

Also ferraris at Ascari – fantastico!

(In my opinion) the best set of seasonal races so far – keep them coming!

    Oh and I agree – it’s a lovely photo.

Maybe I’m unusual but Tsukuba is one of my favourite tracks and I also like Mazda MX5’s (but wish there were far fewer in the game). I did think of using an MX5, but thought it would be too easy – instead I went for the car which was the original inspiration for the Mazda – the Lotus Elan. Untuned it was still easy, but it is a beginner level event. It would be nice if PD could reintroduce the multiplier from GT5 which increased reward if you used a lower PP car.

I expected SS Route 5 to be too easy so I used an Alpine A110, cockpit view no aids and HUD switched off, which increased the realism and immersion. The Alpine was much slower on the straights than the Gallardo and Lexus LFA and it took me 3 attempts to build up enough of a lead to win by 0.051 seconds – very enjoyable!

Ascari I used an untuned Ferrari 288 GTO, then thinking it would be nice to use an open car with cockpit view I bought a Ferrari California – in GT5 it was an open car, but sadly in GT6 the roof is up – a shame – it was the only open topped Ferrari in GT5. Hopefully GT7 will bring some more open topped Ferraris – the Ferrari 365 Spyder (like the one used in Miami Vice would be nice).

For those people who are complaining that the events are too easy – try a different approach – used cockpit view with the HUD off an drive it like a trackday rather than a race – if you’ve got an H pattern shifter use it – then you might enjoy the events like I did!

Or just try to win the Ferrari challenge with sport hard… I tried it for hours until I finally nailed the Enzo with my Enzo. And than I realized that tires up to sport soft were allowed.
It it way to easy with ss-tires. But on the plus side I now really like the Ascari track :)

Used the 458 Italia for Ascari, and for SS5. The Ascari event was fun using the 458 de-tuned to 500pp. The Enzo rabbit would run me down on the straits, ended up out-breaking itself at the end of the back straight, got some great pics!, lol.

First seems quite easy. To make it more interesting, i attempted to manufacture the closest finish to last finish while winning: 1.986 seconds using Ford Ka.

Oh wonderful, Tsukuba my favourite ever track not. I’m surprised it’s not an MX5 race to be honest as everyone loves driving Tsukuba in MX5s, again not. And SS5 ‘night’ race? Hang on, aren’t ALL races on SS5 night!

Pack it in. GTP can’t do a thing to address your displeasure, so why do you take this as an opportunity to get a load of moaning in? There are quick matches that you can run a few times and you do get money for racing against people in custom rooms as well. If that doesn’t float your boat then re-run a few of the offline events that the game offered from day 1. If you’re still not satisfied, stick another game in your PlayStation and waste your time on that instead.

If you’re prepared to be annoyed over something so insignificant as this, then I would suggest a few rounds of Tekken – any one – on the easiest difficulty. Really get that misery out of your system.

I’m sorry to have annoyed you so much, all I said was that I disliked Tsukuba as a track and was suprised it wasn’t, what I feel has been an overused format of, using MX5s. That’s all. Sorry you felt the need to lecture me on insignificance when your whole argument is pretty insignificant too if mine was. Have a nice day.
