I actually thought this Rainmasters Seasonal was going to be hard because it had ‘supercars’ written all over it. Still thought I’d try my luck with my Lancer Evo X; crazy grip in wet weather, no power and traction loss because 4WD and awesome conrnering because AYC. Managed to pass the leading California on the third lap. Although underpowered, tune actually seemed to work better on wet conditions; but as the weather cleared up, that California and R390 caught up to me for the last two laps. Tight win but awesome fun with the Evo!
I used the Tesla Model S with Sports Soft tires for the last two races.
One of the most boring A-spec ever… race on ovals doesn’t worth at all, Spa + rain + 500 PP = incredibly simple… with every car i tried, i won within the second lap; instead, race at autumn ring it’s been funny; simple track, but various, and, most of all, i like muscle car, modern or old they are. Anyway, like usually, i can make a lot of credits to get bigger my garage and try other cars.
I for one am getting more replyability out of these latest “A” Spec seasonals than any other event since release. Payouts are decent and everyone of them can be run with multiple cars, not just the Suzuki GSX-R4.
GT3 RS “Porsche” at Spa… awesome ride albeit and easy win. Just stay off the racing line and there is plenty of grip.
Spa seasonal had to be the best race so far yet in GT6. I came 1st near the end of lap 2 using a infiniti coupe 06. But that GTO 84 kept up with me. I was llike, “oh shoot!”
use my ram for expert 500pp event it was an easy win im thinking about uploading the tune
I used the ’66 Ford GT40 mk1 for all three events, lol. just changed the gears.
Pretty easy, easy-500pp s2k
Medium -500pp acura rsx
Hard -500pp s2k
Oh yea stock gears on all
For the Rain masters race I used a stock Nissan Skyline Midnight Purple car. Got nerfed off the track by a 2007 GT-R which was in second then got Maldanado’d by the Ford GT in 1st but came through and won like a boss!
haha! when I finally managed to log in.. I took a tesla for spa lol on the last laps a Ruf yellowbird and Zonda c12 kept blasting past me on the run up to Rosberg douche tactic corner, got them on the last corner of the last lap as it dried out :D was actually pretty good fun.
Hahaha. Classic post… “Maldanado’d” and “Rosberg douche tactic corner” F1 pundits to the finest :)
Can someone tell me which color GT-Chrome that is for the Supercar Festival event? I cant get online right now so yea…
The trick to the Spa race is using the wet/dry lines to your advantage. If you can stay off the wet line, then you’ll have an easier time braking and turning trough corners without traction loss. Sometimes the racing line isn’t the fastest way round the course :) For a tad bit of difficulty, I decided to slap Praiano’s 500pp tune on the RUF BTR ’86. It was a walk in the park
Did all 3 with a Ford Focus RS ’02. Bit of a cheat, but fun and easy 804k with 200% login bonus.
Hah nice one, I used that car for the Autumn Ring race. So much fun throwing it around. I’ve yet to do the Spa race, but you’ve got me thinking… :)
@waster3000 it gets a bit slippery to the end of spa, but it’s great fun.
@kratosismydad
I love your name xD
I have only raced one attempt on Spa with rain, but it only rained for the first lap and was dry by the third. Did this happen to anyone else?
I was stoked from some 550pp in the puddle, but just want an idea how variable the weather is before I return to the comp.
In my race it was pouring down rain in the 1st lap and continually dried throughout. By the final lap it was completely sunny with a drying line – though my car was still kicking up spray until the end.
What a very interesting race, rain. Didn’t think my GT2 Tuned Z4M would cut it but it sure did. Tuned to 500PP in the rain, this race was a cakewalk even with that Ferrari GTO ’84 up front. I love using street tires in wet weather, although at 100% saturation it’s more or less like driving with slicks in 50% water, no grip all slip. They need to work on that wet grip loss, it’s a little to steep as street tires have channels to push water away to keep available grip. It’s like there is water under your tires creating a non coherent surface even from a standstill. The weight of the car alone should press water away from the tires to yield grip. Love this, although it would be better if each of the 3 races had different difficulty levels to choose from as I would like to race some courses but not at the level they select.
Cts-v coupe for expert .. Win first try against lead f40 . Set slip diff and traction low . In the lead by end of lap 2 .. Used controller. Thought I would sign up to gt planet today after years of being a great gt fan.. Not bad for a 47 year old ! .
It’s always nice to have people to talk shop with, welcome. I’ve put my CTS at the top of my drive list now, so thanks for the tips!
did inter and expert with a 500pp RS200 – easy wins but still fun :)
Loved the rain event!! Was super easy in my x-bow but looking forward to trying it is something about heavier :D
In* abit*…silly SwiftKey
COURSE MAKEEEER!! please
All in good time. I’m guessing it may be finished by November and released in December. The 6th would probably be a good day to push it out. Just… Keep your blood pressure in check; it’ll all be fine.
looking forward for tonight to try all the new races
Woah! Completely surprised to see one of my my photos up there! Thanks T-12!
Nice pic! :D I like how the front-right wheel is “hovering” above the ground.
Thanks!
A seasonal using changeable weather! But as usual the expert race is catch an over pp-ed car. It’s possible, but it probably depends on the line-up.
Intermediate Level American Muscle Challenge – Acura NSX. Easy win.
First time I fired up the game in a while and .. “you have been signed out of psn network” Sony please sort your **** system out. Very fed up now. Nothing works.
I think that the idea that the PSN network is down is that they are sorting their system out.
I also got it too, it’s a worldwide effect that Sony is sorting their system out.
Spa was hard as hell trying to catch up to the leaders, ended up having to cut a huge corner and suffer from a 5sec penalty to pass the leader in the 5th lap. My heart was racing.
What car did you use i can only manage to get 5th lol
I did it in a lotus 111r, but this is very difficult in the rain, you must be very cautious every time you put the power down. The car does get easier as the track dries, but the rabbit gets faster as well. I had a much easier time getting gold in the lambo gallardo. The four wheel drive allows you to put the power down much sooner, and not have to worry about wheeel spin as much.
I tried every car I could have, even the Gallardo. But the car that worked for me was the Alfa romero 8c. Just dial down the power a little below the 500pp and ad either sport exhaust or the computer chip (forgot what it was called) for little more power. You get extreme power without tire spin because of the weight. Its very balanced. Even tho I had to cut the corner to win, it was my mistake in the earlier laps braking too late and overpowering the corners. Anyone who knows the track and control their inputs would have no problem winning this race with the 8c.
Subaru S206 is practically super glue on this race. It may be somewhat cheap, but it basically ignores the rain even with assists off or low. I blew the event out in one try, with a migraine and a two year old climbing on me, just with that S206. Once I feel better, I will use something more challenging.
redid the race, this time using the Ford GT40 mk1. I was in 3d place at the end of lap 1, had a 10 second lead at the end of lap 2, and over 40 seconds by the end. That thing is a rocketship!! My best laps were in the 2min20’s!
The comment below proves PD cannot do right for doing wrong
!
Its quite possibly the first time we had had a rain race in a seasonal and someone’s already bitching. No one forces you to do the seasonal’s that you dont like.
Personally I dont like the drifting events so I dont do them, but I dont come on here bitching about it. I used to enjoy coming on here reading tge Comment’s but since 2010 its become nothing more than a bitch fest…… oh the irony! Lol
Dude I loved the rain, it was a great challenge, tho I had to cheat a bit to win lol
+1
Ugh, rain. A night seasonal would be cool…
Toyota TS030 Super Lap seasonal had time change to night time at Sarthe 2013, complimented with fireworks.
All right! A seasonal with rain at Spa! I couldn’t be any happier right now :)
Ready to show them tracks who’s boss!
