North American racing game fans looking for a good deal should act fast this weekend. The PlayStation Store’s monthly flash sale is live, and there are some solid options for less than a tenner.
Leading the pack is Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo. The 2016 game garnered a reasonably positive response on release, and sits at 71% on Metacritic. While it can’t match the visual splendor of other titles in the genre, it’s an entertaining enough peek into the career of one of rallying’s legends. We’re also a big fan of the Class S DLC pack — sadly, the sale doesn’t include it. Modern games have grossly under-represented these rare cars!
If you prefer your racing thrills on two wheels, a trio of motorcycle games is also up for grabs. Two of them are also from Milestone, the same developer as SLR Evo. Players have the choice between MXGP2 and Valentino Rossi The Game. If your tastes lean towards the dirt, you’ll probably want the former title. Not that Rossi doesn’t offer that — it does, and more aspects of the nine-time world champ’s career.
Finally, there’s Moto Racer 4, an arcade-oriented two-wheel racer. All four can be had for less than $10, representing a discount of at least 75% off. Here’s the full list, with links:
- Moto Racer 4 – $9.99 (75% off)
- MXGP2 – $9.99 (80% off)
- Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo – $8.99 (85% off)
- Valentino Rossi The Game – $9.99 (80% off)
