Italian video game developer Milestone has recently sent out fresh pre-alpha footage of its latest off-road title Gravel, offering a first look at the game’s environment and the pace of driving.
The first video above shows a race between highly modified BMW X3s. Dynamic driving suggests Gravel is focused on accessible and fun experiences while not straying away from realism. Every once in a while you can notice the driver receives points for making certain accomplishments.
The second video demonstrates driving at night. This time we follow a pack of Subaru WRX STI machines. As in the previous video, you can notice quite remarkable sounds coming from those exhausts pipes.
The game is said to feature over 50 vehicles — including Porsche — coming from different off-road disciplines. Gravel takes advantage of Unreal Engine 4, allowing for changeable weather conditions and dynamic time change. A vast number of different environments are also set to be part of Milestone’s new off-road title.
The game was officially confirmed at the 2017 Games Developer Conference, when we reported on the different game modes Gravel will feature. Gravel is scheduled to hit the market this summer. It will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
