If you’re a VIP with the need for absolute protection, then we have a vehicle for you. Thanks to German custom vehicle maker Klassen, the world now has a bulletproof Rolls-Royce Cullinan limo.
You’re probably thinking that sounds a bit over-the-top. Don’t worry, we’re right there with you. If the Cullinan is missing anything it’s definitely not size, nor opulence. But this limo is for a certain kind of client who needs protecting from all the baddies of the world — or is one themselves.
Just how much protection? According to Klassen, it’s in the B6 level of ballistics protection. In layman’s terms, it means the car can soak up a ton of damage while still protecting the occupants. Specifically, it means it can withstand 7.62mm rounds from a high-powered rifle.
If that’s not enough security though, you can even upgrade to B7. This ultimate form of protection is robust enough to stop an armor-piercing round.
In addition to the armoring, the Cullinan also gets a full 41-inches added to its length. This makes the vehicle incredibly imposing at over 20 feet long.
No word on the weight, but we assume Rolls’ traditional “adequate” probably fits the bill nicely. The standard Cullinan already tips the scales at nearly three tons. Add in three and a half feet, plus all those 15mm-thick steel armor plates and the weight probably doubles.
To carry around all the heft it thankfully has the 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 under the hood. With 563hp — and more importantly 627lbft of torque — it’s sure to move just fine. The top speed and acceleration are probably down just a bit though.
Venturing to the inside of the Klassen, it’s as plush as you’d expect. There’s partitioned walls and presumably seats that rival those found on a Gulfstream. It’s then all bathed in soothing ambient light throughout.
Buyers also get an iMac multimedia center complete with a desktop computer. This connects to the Bang & Olufsen sound system to provide the perfect entertainment experience on the go. As an added convenience, VIPs can control all the aspects of the vehicle with their phone.
So what does this lap of luxury run? According to its listing on Mobile.de, a cool €1,800,000 ($2,000,000). And that’s just the base price. Looking at some of Klassen’s other creations, there’s virtually no limit on what you can add — for a price.
