Microsoft is set to show off new titles in a special Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12, potentially including more information on the Forza Motorsport reboot and the first expansion pack for Forza Horizon 5.
The Showcase livestream will feature new and future first and third party titles from Microsoft’s biggest studios as well as more independent creators. Bethesda will be a major feature with its latest game Starfield, expected to take center stage — and fans will also be very keen to hear any news regarding the future of Fallout as well as Elder Scrolls VI.
However it’s likely we’ll also hear from Turn10 regarding Forza Motorsport, and Playground Games on the subject of Forza Horizon 5’s expansion — as well as the highly anticipated return of the Fable franchise.
It’s been almost two years since the initial reveal trailer for the next Forza Motorsport dropped. During that time, T10 has provided some development updates on the Forza Monthly streams — most recently in December 2021 — and private testing sessions have been ongoing for some time.
T10 has also mentioned big changes to multiplayer to feature a deeper and more authentic experience, including open practice and qualifying sessions before the main race, but there’s still much we don’t know.
If we see more about Forza Motorsport during the stream, we can expect to see some expanded information based on what we already know from that initial trailer — and possibly even a release date.
Any news on Forza Horizon 5 is likely to focus on the long overdue first expansion pack, which was recently leaked on Steam.
With a return to Hot Wheels looking all but officially confirmed, players will be wondering what improvements will be coming since the brand’s appearance in the similar Forza Horizon 3 add-on.
It looks like there’ll be a new area of the map, and the two new Hot Wheels cars shown are real-life, full-size cars from the Hot Wheels Garage, but we’ll have to wait to see if any other information drops during the show.
The Showcase kicks off on June 12 at 1700 UTC and will be broadcast across multiple social media sites including Twitch, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok. There will also be a special extended stream that will be shown at the same time on June 14.
