Tesla Roadster Super Lap

You are a champion! Do you use any assists?
Abs 1, can't remember if I used srf, may have accidentally left it on. No matter though, made sure it was off this time it off as a test and still golded, just a slightly worse time than the first run.

Yup. That's because the comfort tires have more grooves in them that can store water, allowing you to have more grip.
Good tip, thanks! Got me up to 1299, lofty for me.
BTW, take a look at kanbara1118's profile. Says he/she is using a manual. Probably a glitch but interesting anyway. I checked the other racers from Japan, all auto that I could see.

That's because they used a manual in the previous car that they used.

They do really think of everything in Yamauchistan! Was struggling to get under 1.08, got the Tesla on CS tires, and golded it in a couple of laps. Kudos to you, sir.

You should definately try and give the manual transmission a go. It wont be easy at first but once you get the hang of it, you will have a blast. More car control with a manual tranny and you can also use it to slow the car down instead of always relying on the brakes.
i can not get my brain and fingers to work manual with ds3,but i do have an old wheel i use now and then with manual it is a lot faster but i don't get time to practice with it nightshift and kids see to that lol but i have fun when i do get the chance to use it..:)

Yeah I golded on the first lap too, stock.

Just kidding, but I did eventually get there without SRF. I'm about to try it again with CS tires.

This is my first attempt at making a tune from scratch. I managed a 1:03.352 after a few tweaks. I've found it works best if you throw the car into the hairpins and give it gas when it straightens out. I'm sure it needs some more work to be competitve, but it is pretty stable. It intially had too much oversteer. Maybe one of you tuning wizards can give it a go and offer up some suggestions. I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for the tip, I was about to resort to Stupid Ridiculous Force (SRF) on.

Thanks for the awesome tune 👍, was struggling in 1:03's stock. Managed 1:01.7xx with this.
I just changed the brakes to 8/8 and Toe -.05/-0.1. Think I'm close to my limit now, within a second
of Ramon is good for me. ;)

As I said, you are a champion.
Once I understood how the car will handle with SH on the wet track my laps became consistent and under or around gold. Interesting though, even if I made small mistakes here and there I was still able to do consistent times which is odd.
BTW, at first I went for the CS at the front and SH at the back, then reverted to SH both but maybe CS front/rear will really be the better option. :)

When you do get a chance to run a time trial, just give manual transmission a go. You might just surprise yourself.

Hi lisanorm. What camber and toe settings are you using on your tune?

i had them all 0 but sidplayos2 change toe -.05/-0.1 and brakes to 8/8 and went faster than me so if that helps..anyways gave the old wheel a run last night and was just a tad slower but fun:cheers:

Currently at 1.02.745
Will give your setup a try tomorrow and see if I can hopefully improve. Love Tsukuba as I spend most of my time drifting here.

From a ds3 to a wheel you will always be slower, but once you get the hang of the wheel, there is no going back.

This is the first tt that i managed to be in the top 5000, lol ds3 and a combination of lisanorm and chevy heavy tunes... At 1:05.804 after 12 laps... Going to take a break from it for awhile and go try the renault sport

This tune worked great for me, 1:03.790 currently. Thank you! My times are also significantly better on CS rather than RH tires.

I am at a 1:02.2 with dif 5, 60, 5 and that helps with the last corner. When I lower it to under 50 I am faster everywhere else but loose much in the last corner. Any of the top drivers mind to publish their diff?

Thats the same diff i've been using. I've been tweaking it a lot but i feel thats the best setting for me.

Some changes of my pre-posted set-up:

Changes to CS tires
Added -2inch rims
Added aero part + wing

Suspension:
102/97
4,51/6,06

-0,15/0,00

LSD:
5/60/5

Downforce:
max. (20)

Put my time down to 1:03,141 which is rank 335 at the moment. A perfect lap would shave off about 0,3xx.

EDIT: 1:02,918 / 263. (Still space for improvement.)

Thanks for posting your tune. I also thought to add larger rims but that would only add top speed. I would rather have less. Am I missing anythin?

Alright, well hopefully it can help somewhat. Just remember, I drive a very loose and throttle sensitive car, so it may take some getting used to. Good luck.
