Hey guys, was searching for a thread where people would post what they had in their computer. Couldn't seem to find one or anything similar so, I decided to start one! If there is a thread already out there, if someone could link me to that one, would be much appreciated.

Rules are simple. Whether you have a factory bought or a custom PC, let us know what is in it!

I'll start off with the computer I use for my Sim racing needs.

- Processor: Intel i7 3770k 3.5Ghz
- Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 ATX
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600Mhz
- Storage: Samsung 128GB Solid State and Seagate 2TB Hard Drive
- Graphics: MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti PowerEdition 2GB
- Power Supply: Corsair AX750 750Watt Gold Rated Fully Modular
- Monitor(s): 1x Asus VG248QE 24 inch 1ms 144Hz

Excited to see what everyone else on GTP is using! Cheers!

Man, I thought I had a pretty good computer but, some of you guys have some insane stuff in yours! Keep it coming!

It's simply not a priority for me anymore. When I was younger, I was all about the crazy high performance desktop. Liquid/Phase change cooling, hand picked CPU's, crazy higher CPU/GPU overclocking. There are other things I'd rather spend money on now. Besides, I got tired of constantly upgrading my computer to the latest and greatest crap just to play games. I'd much rather just buy a console every 5 years or so and be set.

The last upgrades I did to my computer was replacing the 2x HDD's I had running in RAID0 with a single SSD, and replacing the 2x Quadro FX 3500's in non-SLI with a single Radeon HD 5850. To be honest, this old dual Xeon is still plenty fast for everything I'm throwing at it. Gaming, encoding, photo editing, etc. But it does heat a room with the amount of energy it burns. It got a little better replacing the 2x Quadro's.

Not a priority for me either. I was a complete tech-geek in my younger years, but now all of my equipment is just a tool to get some job done. When I bought my current PC, I could have rattled off the specs, but it's just not important enough info for me to have committed to memory. The only things I do remember is that I'm running an i7 with 8gigs of DDR5, a 2gig graphics card (Radeon I believe) and a 1TB HDD. The only gaming I do on my PC is The Sims 3. Other than that, it's mainly a glorified web-surfer, CD burner and photo album.

- Motherboard: Asus Crosshair V Formula Z AMD 990FX
- CPU: AMD FX8350 8 core @ 4.6Ghz

- PSU: Corsair TX V2 850W Modular PSU
- Hard Drive 1: Samsung 840 120GB SSD
- Hard Drive 2: Seagate Barracuda 2TB HDD
- OS: Windows 8 Pro 64bit (refuse to upgrade to 8.1)

Peripherals
-
Mouse: Logitech G700
- Keyboard: Logitech G110
- Headset: Tritton 720+ (used for gaming)
- Monitor (TV): LG 42ln578v (LED, 42")
- Speakers: Philips SPA5300 (used for TV/Movies)

The monitor setup is where most people disagree with my build. Most people think using such a large TV for a PC monitor is just ridiculous, but I use an unusually deep desk to avoid being glued to the screen while maintaining the ability to watch movies with friends or sit back on a console. Unfortunately Windows 8 Cleartype is awful so browsing is compromised, but other media looks great.

Dual monitors and extended desktop is always tempting but I have a perfectly good laptop or iPad to use as a second screen the latter of which works great as a little social media hub while gaming.
