It’s the biggest week of the year for the video game industry: the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) kicks off in Los Angeles today with special press conferences from the largest players in the industry, namely Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo.

For racing game fans, there will be a lot to watch for: Microsoft is expected to highlight Forza Motorsport 6, and Sony will likely showcase Project Morpheus – the new PlayStation 4 virtual reality headset which will almost certainly play a role in the next installment of Gran Turismo.

There are sure to be lots of racing-game and hardware announcements at E3, and we’ll do our best this week to bring you all of them from across the genre. Buckle up!

A “no” from Kazunori is actually quite refreshing he should use the word more often. “No” stops useless speculations instantly.

I just had a thought-PD/Sony/GT needs to hype GT for the course creator, if for no other reason than to bring customers back.

    I wonder…..

Is there going to be a hype-up event for the course creator at E3?
    Hmmm……
Would be the perfect place for it…….
And then, they can announce GT7 later and get a little more hype….
    Talk about an opportunity!

FIA in GT6 at least, is like just a series of TT’s like GTAcademy with maybe a final race or series of races with gamers all in one location with the same setup. Exciting for the few that have a chance at qualifying, very exciting for those that do qualify, but for the vast majority of players it’s just another TT.

I would be so happy if Kaz starts Sony’s conference by walking on stage, holding the mic to his mouth. Says “Arigato” , bows. Drops the mic. The lights go out and the screen behind him reads:
    Gran Turismo 7: Sport
    The Drive Of Your Life

Then the bird/dog from the Last Guardian swoops in and grabs him and jumps out of the audiorium and the audience gasps because they’ve forgotten their wearing the new Morpheus prototype and its just been confirmed we will have our very own personal cat/dog in our very own personal apartment in our very own virtual Gran Turismo Open World game coming Holiday 2016.

GTPlanets servers would collapse, a worm hole may appear breaking time/space and making the earth stop spinning.

Kaz may need to show off GT7 in all it’s VR native glory mode, and that will be worth the wait. That is my next adult toy, a complete Oculus Rift set to coincide with GT7, all that will be missing will be a mainstream hydraulic playseat, to which should be readily available but the time PS5 ships in 2025, that is, if we need consoles anymore by then, it may become completely cloud based by then, housed by trillion dollar Datacenters cropping up worldwide as I type this post.

Yeah, but what we really need is Gran Turismo in some form or fashion on PS4 as soon as they can make it so. Well, and the best GT ever.

    Thanks Jordan

Cant wait for the Sony Press(Heres hoping for GT7) Sadly that’s all i really car for this e3 and FF12HD but that’s Square -_-

While I have an outside hope for GT7 to make a cameo appearance, I just want to hear ANYTHING Gran Turismo on PS4. GT6 HD, GT7 Prologue, either would make me happy. GT7 itself in a year… yeah, I’d take that over everything, including more work on GT6. The PS3 really needs to be left to second and third party devs now.

Last year, Yoshida said all first party devs were working on PS4 games. They abandoned the Vita, time they cut the PS3 loose too.
