If you’re like us, you’re looking forward to tomorrow kicking off the E3 celebrations. Sure, EA already had a conference today, and Bethesda’s isn’t too far away, but both are lacking in terms of driving game fun. To pass the time, we’ve taken the recently-released Ford GT LM around the historic Circuit de la Sarthe before a quartet of them take on the LMGTE class this week.
With all signs pointing to the next Forza installment being a sequel to the Horizon spinoff franchise, this could be the only chance to try the new Ford racer in a Forza title for a while. Befitting its open-world nature, Horizon traditionally focuses on road cars and the occasional rally vehicle.
Like the rest of the GT3-spec cars available in FM6, the GT LM is a fairly easy steer around Le Mans, thanks to its abundance of downforce. With a modern turbo engine, it’s hugely torquey, helping it slingshot out of corners, accompanied by that signature turbo flutter.
Tying into the car becoming available, Turn 10 have pushed out an in-game Rivals event celebrating Ford’s return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Using an un-fettled example, players are encouraged to set their fastest time around the circuit, before the 84th running starts on June 18. The faster drivers are already posting times comfortably under the 4-minute mark…

LoL @ using the D-pad to play a racing game
Is that a bad thing? Some people prefer a gamepad – I’m much more comfortable with a gamepad on Forza, even though I play GT with a wheel.
No one is using a D-pad.
^You can’t use a D-Pad at all in Forza, so I agree. It’s the ‘tapping’ trick everyone uses instead of holding the stick down.
wow it’s like ps2 quality
“Like the rest of the GT3-spec cars available in FM6” Sorry to be abit of a prude (Especially when everything else looks great), but the GT LM is a GTE car, not GT3.
I’m guessing it doesn’t include the sandbags Ford added in their Le Mans update.
What that’s supposed to mean?
Ford appears to have gone intentionally slow during the Le Mans tests in order to get a favorable BoP.
Ah ok now I understand
Dat ps2 cgi model even has a fully modeled interior, not bad, not bad at all. Sounds pretty great too. Btw great lap Slip.
PS2? Your eyes must be deceiving you.
Your mom is a PS2 CGI Model.
don’t lump him or his family in with one of the best consoles in existance
So eager to GTPlanet’s next update… gonna be great ignoring trolls like Fat Tyre and the usual rascals forever. See if I care if they do.
@BrunetPaquet – Er, he’s not trolling, he’s cracking a joke about some of the comments found on the original GT LM article.
I dunno, guys…That model looks like an Atari 2600 car model.
