After all those hours struggling in the dark german forest, let's take a deep breath of fresh air and have a run in some beautiful autumnal landscapes. Some say they actually saw leaves falling from the trees while they were racing on this track . It might be hard for us to check this since we'll be too busy trying to take advantage of the car natural drift to swing through all the turns as fast as possible.
Fasten your seat belt, hold your wheel tightly and enjoy the race. 👍

As you can see if you read carefully the above post, I chose to set the deadline at the time that best fits into my own planning. This means that you will have 9 extra hours to run this race.
I'll post reminders in the thread as I did this week to make sure that nodoby misses the deadline unvolontarily.

:mischievous: oh god, its autumn ring!!!

don´t know if i´m going to like the car and the hard tires but i´m loving already 👍

Hopefully the thing doesn't drift too badly :scared: :D

Sounds like an interesting combo, though 👍

I will give it a try tonight when I come home from university.

The Wizard.

Nice one flat-out, the hard tires should make for some interesting drifting.Well done!!!

:irked:

erm sorry, in the interests of good racing chitter chatter....

I think you may find it slightly slidy The Wizard sir.

Good luck everyone.

Oh yeah! This will be interesting for sure!

wow, this should be great fun!! Ill get racing soon. Great choice with the deadline change :P, means i can race tuesday evenings at the end of each week, rather than have to stop a good 13hours before deadline :D

highly entertaining car... i do like the rear steer that can be inducing with a bit of a lift off of the throttle or dab of the brake... haven't got it fully sussed yet, but here are some splits to get it cranking...

T1: 18.208
T2: 50.445

looking for another second or 2 to be happy with it...

Indeed, good work with the deadline.
Will not make much difference to me since I'm not the kind to submit at the last second. :sly:

Also, good looking race. 👍
I spent some time with a similar combo when I ran the italiano cup with the road car stratos.
Fun times even though it's a bit drifty. ;)

I'm sure my time this week will be pathetic compared to last week.
No big deal, I got my low-blow in on everyone last week. ;)

Back to talk with you all again later today after I've played around with this combo a bit.

Oh, and good job on the Week 32 reminder flat-out.👍
Also, great job limiting your spending... That number leaves us clear of the 265,000 prize car mark you find in the easy capri rally. 👍 👍

Looks interesting, Autumn Ring reverse is a track I don't play much, will be good practice for learning.

NOOOOOOO!!!!!! One of my favorite cars in GT4 and I won't be able to race until the weekend. :grumpy: :grumpy: 👎

Driving this car will make you laugh out loud. It did for me! It's a real blast from the past!

And Dion, if you don't well on this track I'm gonna reach out and smack ya! :sly: :P

Think i may have a go at this one, been neglecting the WRS lately but this looks like fun....

Dave

Well, I can say this car likes to slide..........alot!
I feel lke im cheating because the only way i can control teh car is with 200 degree mode on my dfp...
so here are my splits so far...
T1 20.187
T2 53.846
edit: I forgot to mention that was with TCS on also....
now switching it to off.... and maybe by the end of this week i'll get the DFP back into 900 degree mode.... :)

I think you may find it slightly slidy The Wizard sir.

Mine was a sarcastic/hopeful comment, VEXD sir :D

I know the car is going to be all over the place... Expecially with hard tires...

Hopefully, it will be fun, at least?* :scared:

The Wizard.

*Are you going to laugh at me again? ;)

T1 18.604 👎
T2 50.238

Can't seem to handle T1 that well. Had one 18.3 then never got that low again.
Are you using the standard 260km/h? top speed setting shockwaveracing?

this looks like a wicked combo!! will give it some time as soon as possible

got a fast crack at this one and got:

T1 - 17´992
T2 - 50´013

still a second or more there, just getting the proper speed thru turns... didn´t know i would have so many dirty laps... that stratus likes to cut corners a lot

very fun one, i´ll try later with oher tires just to see how amzing this car can be

btw, 250 gear, but i think 240 or 230 will be better, i was not hitting redline

What a fun combination, even the hard tires are just right. Lots of sliding, good acceleration, a bit of oversteer, and tons of fun. There are soo many ways you can attack each corner, some a bit scary, others you just will your way thru. The hard tires add just enough slide to give it a ralley feel with better traction.

The first hour or so on these races is the most fun, each lap you drop a half or a tenth or maybe even a whole second per lap, then the work starts, looking for the nano second and restarting hundreds of times cause your a tenth too slow at T1.

Day1
18.834
52.095 and dropping....I hope.

First tentative lap here.... God it's a blast, but I'm slooooow.

T1: 19.346
T2: 54.533

Edit:
T1: 18.545
T2: 52.009
