Just posted some splits but I just saw that my lap was dirty...argh! But I"m done for the night I have a start atleast.

Natalya, Ben is @ 49.5 not 45.999 :scared: :eek:

By the way, here are my splits:

T1: 0'18.465
T2: 0'50.931

I just did a few laps as I do not have much time to race, tonight.

The car slides a lot, but I enjoy it 👍 :D

Great combo, light, fast, drifty, Italian (yeah, that's a plus in my book :D) car on a wide track with thick rumble strips! Is there more we can ask for? 👍

Upward toward my aspirations of mediocracy. But man this one is soo much fun, well done flat-out.

T1: 18.799
T2: 51.455

She does that because he didn't fill in the rest of the split, FYI.

@Koly, yeah that was until I checked the replay and it was dirty, but just to let you guys know a ballpark (NOT to put on the LB BTW):
T1 - 18.2 :indiff: need another .3 there that I have seen a few times tonight
T2 - 50.1 okay, just need to trim that .3 from eariler and I'll be set

I know that, but that's not what I was trying to point out:

Ben's T2 time = 49.5
Natalya's entry on the Leaderboard for Ben's T2 time = 45.9

(She misplaced the 9 and the 5 - I didn't mean anything bad, I was just trying to help her)

Now, I know Ben is fast, but damn, with a T2 like that one he would have the race in the bag before it even begins :D :lol:

T1 18.604 👎
T2 50.238

Can't seem to handle T1 that well. Had one 18.3 then never got that low again.
Are you using the standard 260km/h? top speed setting shockwaveracing?

just using the stock 260kph top speed setting... was just coming to grips with this little beast last night... it seemed to be a pretty good top speed for the track...

Ran about 10 laps. I'm using 240 gearing.

T1 - 18.295 (Saw a 17.9)
T2 - 50.396

I think we'll see all of these times smashed in the near future, lots more time here.

This is fun...some splits to start with:

T1: 0'18.401
T2: 0'51.240

T1 was awesome, the rest was not :sly:

Tis sweet indeed... Has more grip than I thought it would though, oh well. Haha!

So after I finally figured out how to beat the stupid Special Conditions race, (floor it the whole way around the track, just make sure you're drifting with your side and or rear bouncing off the outer walls... lol), I had a quick 15 minute go at it to get up on the leaderboard...

Maybe 5 laps, first clean one:
T1: 18.875
T2: 52.301

I like how I can sit down for a very quick/short session and walk away with something that's clean enough to submit... But then again, I like the challenge of the ring as well... This week should be interesting with the many different styles and lines that this combo is capable of providing...

30 minute run between studying for 2moro exams

t1: 18.2
t2: 51.3 :indiff:

Crazy car, handful as always, tail keeps popping out under brakes.. but i think i understand the car now..

~~~~ Jase
ok, i'm in also. It looks like the race is alreadt going onin sixth gear :P
Looks like there is lots of improvement on how much i let the cars rear slide out and more important, when?
Got around 55 mins of racing, divided in 2 sessions.
First one (about 36 min):
T1: 0'20,882
T2: 0'55,490
Second session (19 min):
T1: 0'19,518
T2: 0'52,822
Still i screwed up the last hairpin. I also don't seem to find enough grip in the first left right chicane when going flat out through it plus getting the wright braking point after them for the 90° left hander.
So i should make lots of improvement here..... my goal is 18,5 and 50,00
Let's try it :)
btw, great combo here, it IS lots of fun
Well I don't think I'll ever be able to drive this thing without TCS. I'm having a hell of a time with it on.
T1: 0:18.347
T2: 0:51.746
230KPH.
Thats about 130MPH at the end of the straight where you need to turn.
Gives you some serious control in 3rd gear as well.
I find setting yourself up sideways before all turns applies the biggest grin to a face.
Cushty combo, but will i have time to run it.
okey dokey, im gone.
The Wizard, i meant nothing harsh man, i just laughed a lot when i read a sentence with "doesnt" "drift" and some concern expressed. ROFL.
I did think you were serious, but thats because i wasnt really paying attention.
excuse me.
:irked:👍
:crazy: Now that sounds like fun :sly: Will have to run this week, to make up for missing last week (forgot to send my time :yuck: )
Kolyana
GACK! Sorry Bleu. I looked at your time ... not sure what distracted me. Got you in there now.
Thanks. I saw what you did after I posted that. You had me as Drew22. It's all good. 👍
Hey VEXD, no problem 👍
No harm was done and no harm was meant by me in my last post addressing this subject.
You don't need to be excused, you didn't do anything. We simply misunderstood each other, that's all. :D
I was afraid of the car sliding too much and me not being able to control the drifts (I have never drifted on purpose before).
But this is actually fun type of drifting and the car can be brought back in control quite easily. So, I am going to enjoy this combo 👍
I will have to find at least another 1 - 1.5 seconds by the end of the week, though...
The Wizard.
Just took the time to run a few laps. :D
51.666 T2
Puts me way behind pace but that's to be expected... I'm only D1 worthy on certain courses with certain cars. ;)
I can handle it though. :lol:
Also, I checked the leaderboard and it seems like there are some great laps already up.👍
I also went so far as to check the LB from last week and oddly enough, even though I put up my T times atleast twice, I didn't see my name on the list anywhere.
Hope that didn't throw anyone for a curve if they didn't see me coming. :guilty: :lol:
I'll be back later on hopefully.
For now I'm done with the combo though... Too darn hard for me!
Put me on the Ring in a DB9 and it's simple, put me in this thing on the Autumn course and well. :banghead:
:lol:
Catch you all later... Or well, talk to you all later. :lol:
Kent
Hey all,
have fun with the races to come.
Good luck with the series flat-out. 👍
Catch you all around at some point.
Till then,
-
So you're not leaving?
As for the leaderboard, I didn't add your times, because you don't like to be on leaderboards, right? I thought you eschewed that whole 'competitive' thing?
So you're not leaving?
As for the leaderboard, I didn't add your times, because you don't like to be on leaderboards, right? I thought you eschewed that whole 'competitive' thing?
You seem almost too happy to hear a hint of the idea that I'm not going to be around.
In all honesty, that's often what has kept me involved (I love to anger those who dislike me). :mischievous:
(plus, I've been here for over 2 years of WRS racing... a few attitudes and misconceptions aren't gonna push me away :lol: )
Also, I'm not interested in the competitive element, no, not really at all.
However, say I was to get some great t times and they were not marked in the leaderboard...
Later that week my times are still being submitted but someone who's looking at the leaderboard thinks they are safe because they don't know about me.
Now who is that hurting?
Certainly not me... Hell, it gives me an element of stealth.
On the other hand, the member who races harder when they see competition... :confused:
I'm guessing they would get the shaft when they think they are sitting safe by themselves on a certain position then out of the blue an unlisted racer takes that spot.
Plus, you're confusing my desire to be left out of the "dynamic weekly stats" and the leaderboard.
See,
I don't like being listed in a long term leaderboard because of the way it promotes the idea that each week is connected.
In my opinion, the WRS is a weekly spot race series with no common theme running through each race other than the obvious.
To me, each week is a new week and in that, a new oppurtunity to do well or poorly... To skip out cause you don't like a combo, or to dedicate more time than ever because you love it.
Week to week and day to day.
That's the way I race and live life.
Sorry if that offends you.
Btw, the more I see how little you like me (think you called me a drama queen in the other thread), the more I want to hang around and just pester you to no end. :P :lol:
Does my mere pressence offend you?
In any case, I would love to hear from you in a PM since this stuff is a bit off topic.
Would you care to write one?
I would love to hear what you have to say. :D
Until next time,
-Kent
I skimmed through most of that looking for if you want to be included in the leaderboard or not ... didn't see it.
Do you?
As Kent said the T-times leaderboard and the race leaderboard couldn't be more different from each other. The t-times board is just a way of organzing the t-times so we can more easily see what pace everyone else is on, so in effect its no different than posting your t-times in the thread. It has nothing to do with a running point total, like in the race leaderboard.
What car would you guys recommend for unlocking this car? lol, got the save with all unlocks but for some reason it doesn't show in arcade under classic eras :(
