Dan.. crazy splits mate.. i think i have an idea of your final time.. can you go for four in a row winning div1 or will Curtis have something to say about this.

Still m impressed buddy. i guess i have to up the ante a bit!! dunno how im gonna do it though, ill give it another shot tonight and probably submit no time next week.

I had a quick go. T2 is under 50 👍

See if I can get a low 49, I can match Dan in T1, but still loosing time in T1 - T2.

See what my next session brings.

holyday here on monday and tuesday... hopefully i can get some driving time on this race... love the track, the car is very fun, just i´m not good with drifting and hard tires, but still, everything is going OK so far...

last night run some laps before my friends got there to play Def Jam FFNY (which is a lot of fun btw) and got 17´7 and 49´8 but not on clean laps... just have to work on the angle of the car when drifting to get a good exit out of the corner... lets see what tonight´s session brings to me...

holl01
17.953 (crappy seen 17.666)
48.953

and finished pretty fast, time submitted :)

cya later

hmm, can you share with us the top speed setting?

i´m running with 250... 240 for me seems to be wrong for turns, and 260 just a tad slow...

im on 230, is it just me? seems to be working fine, sept i lost a second to holl in second sector  i just cant do long corners though, eg the one after t1.

wow

maybe i´m :dunce:

don´t know, still didn´t have time to try 230... or to try 260 for a long period... lets see tonight... but good to hear that you have 49´6 with this setup... maybe its better...

so that means... you are not using 2nd gear right? 💡

i use in 2 corners, the one that leads to T2, and the final corner...

meh 20 minute session! :D
my new time took my old one to school. yet it is still behind the pace.

t1: 18.2
t2: 50.6

great combo! was very sceptical at first about the car, as it is a beast if you are not a good drifter......but i actually enjoy this! Good choice flat-out! Seems the combo of car/tire/track is made to be like this....i might even get the DFP out this weekend and let the controller collect some dust!!!
so far
t1: 18.193
t2: 50.291

Well, i use auto firstly, :( lol, but i hold the third gear round the last corner, because i get pissed off by messing up laps there, i loose traction there and end up wheel spinning... I use 2nd the corner before t2 though, which i just found another .3 hidden in :D, cant put the whole lap together though. I also found another .15 in the first sector. So i could get my t2 down to...(quick calculation)....49.2 prob...and im loosing .5 in the final sector, icemanshooter, you got me beat, im just above that barrier you have beat :(

Although, despite me not being able to complete a decent lap, i saw a
17.589!!!!
dont ask me how i made this! carried it on to a 49.7 t2 (was a **** sector) and then crashed off before the end :(

I was running 240 gearing, FWIW. I would bounce off the limiter once at the end of the straight, but it's harder to set up for the next turn correctly when I go that fast... I tried 250 gearing, but it's just too tall.

Jetboys427
Am I nuts for doing a 270 setup?

Crazy...use 230 man believe me on this one.

Just had time for about 5 or 10 laps last night. What an awesome combo! The RH tires are absolutely perfect for this track. 👍 I used 240 gearing I think????

It looks like I've got a lot of catching up to do, as my best splits were in the 18.2 and 50.1 range. I kept braking way too early. Must be a leftover habit from last week at the ring. Hopefully will get the chance for a good session this weekend.

Till then.....

After checking this weeks leaderboard I realized only 3 drivers are using the DFP, everyone else the DS2.

I know I'm gonna catch some flak for this , but using the DS2, IMHO, is not driving, it's mashing buttons with your thumbs. When driving a car in real life you use two hands and two feet and you must coordinate them at the same time. I know this has been debated forever but I had to add my two cents worth, whatever that's worth. OK, I'm ready for the fallout!

Good piont indeed, I totally agree which is why I am starting to get into karting now to see if what I have been learning here (with my DS2) relates in real life. But I'll keep 'button mashing' my way around here lol.

First, that was totally funny, I can see you as the announcer...heheh.

Second, I LOVE your Sig baby, yeah! :sly:

Oh and BTW I think I've peaked this week. Great job Randymcchicken and Shockwave!

pssssssttttt!!! Hey Nat. MinorShunt always uses DFP controller. ;) *checks sig to be sure*

And I'll have some good numbers for the leaderboard sometime tonight......... at least I thing I will. :dopey:

new splits, feeling a lot better with 230 👍

T1 - 17´981
T2 - 49´711

seen 17´6 and 49´4, lots of room still 👍

fhewww, this race is killing me......

Had a three hour session this afternoon and at the end it was worth it. But i mean truely at the end :P

T1: 0'18.460
T2: 0'50.490

It could be i'll send it in as my final time cause two days with no racing are coming up to me.

See y'all at the finish ;-)

First of all, you're wright. It's obviously more real like to use a dfp. But without throwing some flak to you i'll explain to you wy i stay on dualshock....

I played gran turismo since i was sixteen (probably earlier). As soon as the button sensitive version was on of the DS2 i totaly adapted a robotic kind of intuition with the dualshock like you also do when learning yr first yrs driving a real car... Once i got the feeling and hang of it i forgot about the rest (driving wheel etc.) cause i was used to this and still find it challenging enough. I for example never mash on the buttons. I press or turn them soft and gentle, lol... That sounded silly

Anyway, hope you got what i wanted to tell here, :P:
In my opinion it IS driving, but it does feel more like a game!

:)

When i went for my license test when i was 18 i already totally adapted the system and i just needed to transfer that on a real car. And i have to say, it was a piece of cake.....

damn, i might have to change my gearing then seeing as everyone is quicker with a 230-240 gear setting, i have been using the 260 setting the whole time, might find that extra 0.3 or 0.4 i am looking for...

i noticed that as well, it is hugely frustrating on the DFP to get everything coordinated so well, that is why i am staggered by the times that veilsidebr and co normally post using the DFP, coz i can't get anywhere near their kind of pace...

I dunno about .3 or .4 difference, I would say like .1 or .2. IMHD2O that is.

Just had another half an hour go at it... I like these short stints... Play until I beat my lap by a decent amount, and turn it off for the time being... Fastest splits I've seen at both sectors, might be the time I submit, even though I see another .2-.5 in it for me if I really put the time into it, but the returns are diminishing for the time spent... :sly: Lol, so yeah, we'll see. Chopped another second off of my time:

T1: 17.979
T2: 49.910
T3: 1'xx.31x

Great combo, Cyril. 👍

Never crashed so much and still having so much fun.
A very very sweet ride when you finally succeed. :D
