Very good stuff. But why is this a gallery. Its as much a gallery as my garage is a tuning workshop.
Because we have made 50 photos in two days, and will probably continue at that pace, maybe slower, maybe faster. And most people do only 10 every other day. Even though it isn't as dedicated to photos as other galleries, that doesn't mean it's not a gallery.

thanks duck, and damn, i guess no one likes my update, i didnt think it was too bad, oh well, i got somethin special for next time, and go ahead and get your comments in.

Nice Report on the R32. Actually, a car I wouldn't touch and didn't think anything of it. Now, I guess I'll have to try it out. ;)

Thanks Ving. But with out Duck and 440, we wouldn't have too many people checking out the thread...

**Attention**
I am looking for one more person who can tune cars (Basically street cars, nothing fancy) who can take pictures and edit them too...We have one more spot. I would like you to have been with GTPlanet for more than 6 months and you have an editing program like Picasa 2, Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, etc. What ever works for you...

Ithink its prolly in the wrong forum matt. its more of a write-up than a pics thread to me. maybe thats the problem?

I'd sign up but i am more of a salmon than a tuner ;)

well, thanks guys.
edit!- I have a proposal for ekmatt when we get off of school, i will ask if we can start a tuning thread for bestuners in the tuning sections, still post pics and reports here, then link to the setup.

Been here Since '02. Played GT since it was first released on a Samlpler CD back in '96. Done tuning and judged tuning challenges(not on this forum). And, I have PhotoShop CS. :)

Alright Speedy, I'll take you into consideration...Would you like to make a donation, have people rate it 1-10, and then we'll see if you're in?

Scaff is interested in this, I've been with GTP well over the 6 months, good experience with tuning and use photoshop to a decent level.

Examples of my work can be seen in my gallery (link in my sig).

Anything else you guys need, just let me know.

Regards

Alright Scaff...PM me with your settings and have it organized like mine, 440's, or Duck's donation. I'll read it over, tell you how I like it, and you will get a PM that same day probably. Thanks for your interest.

No problem at all, should be able to get it done this evening.

scaff and speedy look like strong candidates. Once someone pm's you their stuff, be sure to send it to all of us, then we can all look over it. Its great that these great people want to join us, but who will get in??????????? :boggled:

PM it to me at ekMatt9 name, don't send it to BESTuners, because I will send it all out to the BESTuners team and see what they like about it and what it can be improved upon. We will get back to you by tonight...I go to sleep around 10-10:30 since school is really early...So you might get a PM back if you send it by 5-8 o' clock...

Thanks dude, nice to see some one is interested...

We do have 2 spots open. If Scaff joins, we will have 1 spot left open...This thread isn't working out as well as BESTesters...

Ok, I have an idea...how about we choose a baseline for what tires we use? In BESTesters, they all review and submit their laptimes in S2 tires. But with this gallery, we have a free choice, and that means the laptime list is near useless, as a car may have a faster laptime than the next one down, even though it may have better tires when tested.

And I think the reviews should accurately report the car, because when testing with R4s and R5s, it nearly removes the tuning factor since it makes the car handle near perfect, and tuning is a major part of this thread. It's like setting the aids at 20 / 20 / 10, it handles great and all, but it's like having something to lean on to.

Of course, this is what I'd do to the thread, hope you all agree. 👍

Duck

Well...For any one else, they can choose what ever type of tires they want...Because for me, it's mostly going to be R tires...Maybe for an exception when using cars under 250hp, but I doubt it ;)

BESTuners BMW M3 CSL '04 Report:

Deep Forest Raceway Time: 1'11. 608

Exterior:
Alright, like any BMW, you can't hate them. I personally, hated this car at first before I started finding the art of the M3's. The CSL mark was confusing at first. And I found out it's the lighter, more sportier version like the real life Altima's. The more luxury ones are heavier, but there's more power. BMW thought smart because they made it into a lighter luxury sports car :) I did some research......Personally, I love the way I tuned this car, it does have some understeer, but it's not heavy. And it turns great too!!

Pro's on the track:
Lets just put it this way. This car is sexxy on the track ;) It's very smooth, the tires don't chirp when you accelerate in 2nd gear. It's very smooth on take off. I lowered the spring rates because if it were stiff, the car can't absorb some bumps and it would just fly all over the place if it were stiff because then you wouldn't have full control. In Deep Forest Raceway, I took this car and pushed it. I only got 1'11. 608, but I pushed this car harder than the Supra. In the last turn before you hit the straight away, I didn't brake, I just turned out, turned it, drifted a bit, and took the corner at about 130 mph :D And I still didn't hit the grass!!

Con's on the track:
The basic issue; Understeer. That's what all cars suffer in games and real life. You just can't eliminate it completely. I put ASM Understeer high again because I've noticed that it works!! I thought if you put it at 0 all the Understeer would go away, but I was wrong. Turning the cars Driving Aids up actually helps a bit...Well the Understeer part actually does...It still slides and smokes a little bit if it starts to Understeer. If you go too fast and then brake, be careful not to turn because your revs will go up and then back down, and your car will slide a bit too. Other than those bad parts, it's all okay...

In conclusion:
I like this car. I didn't want to put a wing on it to help me this time because I don't think my M3's have to have a wing :) I like this car, I bought it a while ago and drifted it, and then I stopped, and ever since then, for racing in tournaments, I've put 578.8 miles on it...Boy, I feel cool :) But yeah, this car is nice, and it does include racing tires as usual, but if you put "S" tires on the car, it has more understeer, but it's still driveable...At least for me...

BESTuners Nissan GT-R Concept ’01 Report

Deep Forest Laptime: 1’12.607

NOTE: Review tested with S2s, laptime tested with R4s.

Exterior:

The only real thing that was retained from the R34 was the recognizable taillights and it’s famous GT-R emblem. It has a mean, aggressive look to it, ready to hunt down anyone who passes it. It resembles the new Charger SRT-8 that came out this year: big, chunky, but fast, and real fast.

The Good…:
With 850 horsepower, AWD, and 7 gears, you know it’s going to get up and go. It can reach 195+ mph, and it sure hits that real fast. Its tranny is remarkable, too. With 7 gears and some of the most seamless shifting I’ve ever seen, it can launch to a 9 second quarter mile run, and that’s without intentionally drag prepping it. And there’s little wheelspin when trying to gun it out of a corner, too.

…And the bad:
And speaking of gunning it out of a corner, you’ll hit the wall and lose if you do that. I swear, this car has one of the most severe cases of understeeritis, you have to freaking coast (well, not coast, maybe half throttle :dopey: ) though the corner so you won’t be eating grass for lunch. However, with 850 hp, AWD, and no signs of downforce, that is to be expected. I’d crap a blue bean if it were to actually handle decent.

And the braking isn’t that good, either. Those purple-with-orange-flames calipers are clearly for show. Going 190 and with no downforce sticking it to the ground, it’ll fly past the corner and ram into the wall if you’re not careful and brake early.

Conclusion:
Well, it’s a fast car, that’s for sure. And with it’s tranny and engine, it gave out a disappointing laptime at Deep Forest. Bur for a car that you win for free in the license tests, it’s a great starter car. It’s definitely a standout, very unique in it’s own right. I say get it, because even though it looks like it has a lot of cons, it’s a fun car, trust me. 👍

Awesome Duck!! Nice, short, and simple. I like the fact you posted settings from the "Workshop" you got going on...By the way, how do you win that?!
