BESTuners Cadillac Cien Â’02 Report:
Deep Forest Laptime: 1Â’04.987
NOTE: Review tested with S2s, laptime tested with R4s.
Exterior and History:
The Cien was created in celebration of Cadillac’s 100th anniversary, hence the “Cien” name (Cien means “hundred” in Spanish). Caddy adopted the CTS sedan style to this sleek, wide supercar, and surprisingly, they accomplished that well. Many people think that this car has a face only a mother can love, but when they hear it has a whopping 1020 horsepower and tons of downforce to boot, they go hide in a corner and cry since their “ultra-cool” Skylines would shrivel in comparison.
The GoodÂ…:
It handles great. Of course thereÂ’s some understeer in corners, but this is with S2s. Sport tires!!! On a thousand HP beast! The Cien accelerates like a rocket, getting up to 205 MPH on the straight at Midfield, and this car is a candidate to reach the big 300 if one were to concentrate on it. And the Deep Forest laptime is a witness to it. Great acceleration + great handling = great laptime. The long straight at Seoul gives you a feeling of a jet fighter, with 210 MPH winds roaring past you. Heck, if you could add some wings to it, you may as well glide along the track.
Â…And the bad:
Shift lag. I swear, PD put this in the game intentionally to handicap the Cien. And you canÂ’t buy any transmission parts to speed up the shifting. ItÂ’s just flat out lame. You could probably pay your bills while itÂ’s taking itÂ’s time to get into second gear.
Conclusion:
For a car that you can get near the beginning of the game, itÂ’s awesome. I got a faster laptime of this at Midfield with S2s than with the Zonda with R4s. ItÂ’s just insane. Get this car if you havenÂ’t try my settings, and youÂ’ll know what I mean. And it dethroned the Tommy Kaira for fastest car with sport tires.
The Cien is in the elite of supercars. Just get it.
