My latest information was that the GTX forums claimed to be the next community to host the BC, which would be BC6. I, however, did not continue to follow the latest news and therefore did not provide for any preparations concernig this event. As I am quite busy on private behalfs as we speak (and into the near future) I have to turn down any requests concerning this matter as far as the next few months go. If there should be noone being capable and willing to host the BC6, I can take over with June or July being the earliest point of time that would be possible. Please pass this message to other forums involved as I am not registered in all of them.

Looks like there will be no BC until mid Summer or Autumn as expected

unless of course someone else steps in from GTX and puts the wheels in motion sooner!

no offense, but if none of those 2 want to step up, other boards might as well do the job. (right? or there´s some king of agreement?)

I've always wondered that. Who decides when it's going to be on, and who hosts it?

Does someone just call out "WE'LL HOST THE NEXT SERIES IT'LL BE TOTALLY l33T!!" or do all you race admins have a heated debate?

Well, in my case, I just stepped up and offered to host BC5, and everybody jumped on it across the community.

Typically it is more or less called or selected by the winners of the previous BC. However, BC4 seemed to fizzle out with no final winner, and it had been a year or more before, anyway, so I guess the first idiot to say he would do it got elected.

Which is why a year between BC's is good.........Time to let the memories of the hard work and requisite BS fade somewhat.

But whoever hosts this time should have a much easier time of it considering all of the great work and organization you put into the last one Duke. 👍

The last I checked, here in the BC5 threads, it was my understanding that Didi was going to take the helm. Obviously, things have changed, most likely r/l intervening.

I'll have to check with the GTX site owner about neccessary logistics to host a Board Challenge at the GTX. Stay tuned to this thread...

Okay, here's the deal.

I spoke with Emion (GTX site owner) this afternoon, and he's planning a major software upgrade in the next couple of weeks (converting the site from myPHP to vBulletin) and there will be a few weeks of tweaking after implementation. It looks like right now that a start date for a BC at the GTX would be in the late April/early May time frame.

If that's good with everyone, consider this an UnOfficial announcement of the intent to host the next BC at the GTX.

Or...

If everyone wants to wait for June/July for Didi & the GTRP Boyz to host it, that's fine as well.

Speak up, and tell your friends.

Typically, your board will indicate to the hosts that they want to enter a team, and will pick a captain/manager. Usual teams are 10 drivers + alternates, but that may change depending on the format the hosts put together.

As far as who your board chooses to put on their team, that's up to your team captains.

I will be keeping an eye on this thread for when you update specific dates as Team Rollers will be entering BC6 as our first team comp from that forum, and I will also be holding back on posting ARCIV (which was also planned for MAY) until the BC has been run

.... anyway it gets a thumbs up here 👍 and good luck with the forum upgrade

I know that GT Play was expecting to host BC5 last year and they were a little bit disappointed that we hosted it in the end. I posted over there a link to this thread, so that they can stay tuned.

I think of it this way, if way say April/May, its more likely to acutally begin in June or so. The preparations take a lot of time and we should begin with those now so everything is sorted out when the time comes to race.

So that's 5 out of the ones you listed. But of course, people like Fryz and Hotboi are a given. Yourself and Randymcchickennugnet-whatever-his-name-is, I feel would make a nice final top 10.

Also, all 7 of 8 that you listed are in the Top 10 D1 drivers on Flat-O's rankings. The only omission being Hotboi, who doesn't race WRS a whole lot (Is actually 12th place)

Not that it matters. Because the BC doesn't look to be going ahead this century :lol:
