but we still have some guys like Z. ,zdenko, trevisio, bbq0801, i mean, when we have a qualify for the BC, lots of guys will show up...

so grabbing a spot on the GTP team will be tough

and just like casio, i hope we don´t have to run only at nurb for the qualify... if that´s the case i would have to go thru an intense learning program there...

i´m just excited about this next BC... i hope we can run this in may or june...

But the team will need more than that involved. Last time we could have used more people testing setups, AI lineups, analyzing races, etc. So even if a person doesn't qualify as a driver, correct me if I am wrong, but there is still a critical need for people from GTP to participate in support roles. 👍

Well if there are rally events in the BC and Dan is the man for the Nurb lap then going on this week's race, maybe there's room for me

Generally though if the top drivers here were to compete each week I wouldn't make the top 10. But I will DEFINITELY offer my services for testing etc.

Last time our top 10 (plus 2 alternates) were:

In my opinion I don't think he should. I don't think it's fair for someone to retire himself for OLR, then expect to be automatically in a representive side.

Personally, I have submitted a WRS time in 39 of the last 40 weeks, and have completed in dozens of GTP series. I'm sure there are many others like myself such as Shockwave, Shig, yourself and more, who would detest being not being picked for the team because some guy decides to against everything he said and 'pop-in' for a race.

I know GTP should try to get the best field possible, but I my opinion you should actually regularly complete/contribute to GTP. Otherwise we might as well just go around a recruit some uber-team from all the boards and throw away all the loyalty that exists in the series.

If veil wanted to race BC for GTP all he has to do is finish up the top in the BC qualifer.

He wont race for GTP and his not playing GT4 again, so it doesnt matter.

I understand what you mean casio, but Veil has already ran a BC for GTP, its not like his has been loyal to another board, and we are "stealing" him.

His done his fare share of WRS also

But like i said, he wont race GT4 anymore so its no point.

Update: The GTX is currently down for major renovation. It is expected to be back online sometime this weekend. Once online, there will be a testing period to make sure the database is meshed well with the new board software, and then expect some kind of announcement sometime by mid April.

Me too... I'm still practicing, and hoping I can improve my times enough to qualify -- but let's be realistic, shall we? It's not likely to happen -- there are so many FANTASTIC drivers here, and I'm not currently one of them...

Just to be involved in the BC6 should be fun, and I can certainly help out with testing setups, checking NTSC replays, helping with organizing stuff, or whatever's needed... And maybe by the time next year's BC rolls around, I'll be good enough to qualify for the racing team.

Either way, count me in!

Any more updates for us NQ? ... not being pushy or anything but the Rollers are not really sure when this thing is going down? ... if at all! ... and we would like a rough idea of a possible start date so as we can gather up a team of drivers and try and keep them interested
I dont want to get a team together now and expect them all to be available in 6 months time ..... a commitment of that length of time is sadly lacking nowadays!

Anyway just a rough idea would be good enough to throw at the Rollers members and we can get our 10 drivers in the bag 👍

The Board Challenge forums/threads will be posted by mid afternoon. If you aren't registered at the GTX and try to do so, bear with us...we had a troll issue during the renovation and have had to cut registration back to Admin Verification.
