Very close times again this week, every tenth of a second was worth trying to save. Glad to see that you liked the concept and that you found one week too short : that was exactly what I was looking for :mischievous:

I voted this for the actual car+track theme, not the topic. Vote was Good, because the Silvia had too much understeer for me, but the Elise was spot on! Just enough drifting for me and fast enough to get close to a 24.9 on T2.

Eagerly waiting for the results....

Voted... Waiting...

I voted "Average" because I found that I didn't have time to tune and to try both directions with both cars. If it had been a two week race, then it would've garnered at least a good if not a fabulous.

I would love to see this format again though. Definitely make it a two weeker though!

Not looking forward to the rally at ALL though. Could grow on me but it's not looking likely...

Being new around here I've been adapting different proceedures. One being the transfering of my ghost to here every week. I did this long before the current debate.

Secondly I missed my first post

that'll teach me to go reading all the flaming. Getting that first post is my only source of victory each week :sly:

Thirdly...DAMN!!! You guys are so damn fast, I thought this was my week for an awesome result, ya'll creep out from the woodwork and dive in front of me like that...sneaky buggers...but I like sneaky

Fourthly, I'm still stoked with my time so here are my two laps. I thought my finish in the Sylvia was awesome and I thought my Elise lap was on the edge but it would appear not enough on the edge

and like oldphart said, I post my replays with an air of trepidation now...doesn't seem right?!?

and just now i got a word from shigspeed about my replay, so i´m even happier...

after 40 weeks, i finally got my win :dopey:

i´m really happy, really, really... i always loved autunm ring and this week was no different...

veilside will not believe... my first win came with two normal cars with sports tires... not even close to a fast race car...

special thanks to shigspeed for looking at my replay, and congrats to the other podiuns... great time by bleurabbit and niels in their wins also...

Yes, I checked out his Lotus replay and it was SUPERSUPERSUPER close. I'd have to give him the benefit of the doubt though. It was a gorgeous lap with amazing drifts throughout. It still amazes me that you can drive "stilts" style with the two sticks and hustle the car so well.

Here's a pic of his closest to off (which is actually closer to off than my closest - at precisely the same part of the track -, which I didn't think was possible).

If you draw a line vertically down from the edge of the tire, it _JUST_ intersects the curb. Gnat's ass sort of thing. Don't try this at home kids! :^)

I haven't watched his Silvia lap though so someone else will need to verify that as it got messed up somehow and didn't load on my card.

Not a bad effort I suppose. Would have really liked Top 3. My Elise run ruined me. I think I had the wrong set-up, no way was a 38.1 possible for me.

Big 👍 the Division Winners. Especially Fasj! You've wanted this for a long time mate!

EDIT: Forgot to add, what a great turn out this week. This is the most racers I've seen here in a while!

I really want to see your reverse lap in the Elise. You did that time with a 25.287 2nd sector????? :bowdown:

On my best lap I really hooked up going up the hill after T2, and slightly missed the braking point for the last left, but I didn't think I missed by that much. Boy was I wrong! :dunce:

Holl01 had submitted early (last wednesday), and I usually accept a second submission after the week-end in that case (as long as it doesn't become a habit : I'm not planning to double the time I spend on updating my speadsheet).
He submitted again monday morning, half an hour after I received Casio's times so I guessed they had been chatting on MSN and Casio had talked too much :lol:

first, thanks for the words everybody... yes, really i got the monkey of my back, so i´m feeling better right now...

those moments in the photoshop really scared me, i was never so close to the grass in a clean lap in my 40 weeks here...

i´ll check shigspeed replays tonight, and maybe some other NTSC if they are posted...

about splits and lap times, things changed a lot last night... i bought an extra elise, just to have a brand new and i played with aids off... i remember i changed the brake balance to 7/7 and also minor adjustments in the suspension... i will post all the settings because after a few weeks of GTmode now i can see a pattern... really starting to understand the tuning in GT4... took me a year, but some basic stuff i understand right now...

i saw 9´346 and 24´729 last night, but in my submitted lap i had 24´880 for T2... but i had a great line towards the last turn, and also a good drift to finish the lap...

sorry about posting 3 replays, i tried to sort who is who among the 3 i had and i´m pretty sure (based on file size) that the first one is with the silvia, and number two and three are laps with the elise...

i looked again, and still all rumble stip for me. foward progress to the inside of the track really saved me there... :dopey:

which makes me happy and now able to rest for a while
