goixoyeDo you not have any integrity?
Balls (Neil?),
That was way over the top and I'm sorry. Just because we interpret things a bit differently doesn't mean I should be vicious. I suppose when you indicated maybe there was some other reason for my "passionate" rant on somebody elses "intent" or "spirit" of the rules I felt a little attacked and got a bit defensive/offensive.
So again, I'm sorry, and I also extend my apology to holl01 as well.
I agreed to drop this and hope this isn't considered continued discussion on a closed subject.

Some "new" business:
This does lead me into some knowledge of why my times are slow. I typically try to keep the tires on the track (all 4). But it seems that part of the better drivers' strategy is to "straighten" out the track as much as possible which includes 2 wheels off? >> which is well within the guidelines -- I'm not trying to fuss about stuff here just trying to understand how D1 and D2 drivers can be so much better than me. Typically for me 2 wheels off is usually by accident and not part of my "strategy". I guess, for whatever reason, I try to keep the whole car "in-bounds" when there are "legally" quicker ways to circle the track. I guess I'm just not smart enough to think just a little bit "outside-the-box".
This week was my 1st week back after a couple of months off and my skills were rusty which explains some time difference. I did use TCS/ASM because I didn't have the time to polish my skills...so that explains some more of the difference. And you guys utilize all the track...some more of the difference. And finally you're just plain better drivers. My abilities currently won't allow me to race on that "edge" (between victory and "restart") that you guys are able to find.
Altough this week, at the chicane, I expect all 4 tires were outside the rumble stips as they were at the inside of the Mulsanne corner. This car seemed especially squirrelly (even with TCS/ASM) so it seemed imperative to keep the tires in contact with the hard surface.
