Almost a div1 only submission this week, it looks like div2 and div3 racers are afraid of GT Mode. Or perhaps are they all on holidays abroad, far away from any internet connection and PS2...
Colby, you missed an overall win over a very close field : you're only second to a storming time by Dan. Audi were flying around route 246 this week. Big congrats to all submitters, and Dan (as usual) and Kyle for their division win.

Sorry Steven, but with the limited amount of submissions in div 3 your performance doesn't show much.
It's a pity, that was close to a chance of getting gold. :(

Just for the record, the GT4 WRS has passed 2 barriers this week :
the number of posts in the 66 race threads reached 17,000 and the number of submitted times reached 2,500. (2,503 exactly).

I was worried I'd get beaten, just for not bothering with a last minute attempt. I suppose it's no conselation that I probably wouldn't have done it without your set-up help Neil. Nice battle though, probably the most excited I've got about another mid-table finish. :)

It was really my own fault that Dan came out of retirement (again!). I was talking up how I was near the top of the leaderboard and he goes "we'll see about that..." One day I'll learn not to wave a red flag in front of a bull.

However I see my ol' mate Casio finished below me this week...that makes you..."The Biggest Loser" :sly: 👍

DAMMIT! I missed the 🤬 deadline!!!

Oh well... A 3'53.something would've gotten me last place in Div 2 -- so I guess I didn't miss much. :)

Thanks man! That decision to turn on the ASM real quick took loads off of my time. I did about 4 races this morning with it on and it was just QUICK and easy to drive. Between having a decent setup withOUT using ASM, and then turning it on had awesome results. If only I had more time on it...

Nice job stayin in front of me Colby, and to Dan, well, you know the routine... Great job!

Oh yeah, I could've SWORN there were a lot more people racing than just that. Not submitting a time is a STUPID thing to do. And if you think you're going to get a division win? Well, that's definitely not always the case... Between the last minute charges that don't get put on the leaderboard to the people who race in the background and then submit here and there without actually ever even posting in the threads...
 
Here's my replay... I'm NTSC, as it says in my sig 👍 .

For my replay, I get close a few times, but the only place where you MIGHT need to look at more closely is on the second lap at the end of the first straight after the S/F line. I get close to the inside corner of the right turn leading to T1.

I just realized EG6 is sharkport, so I can't watch it until someone converts it...

nice combo it was, very challenging to try and negate the understeer of the car without sacrificnig straight line stability in the high speed corners, replay soon, or maybe u can post the replay colby; i cant be ****ed re uploading it as i dont have it on computer, thanx

Thanks Doc. I'll give it a try, I have a MAC, so it might not work, but I'll check it out.

BTW, AWESOME race this week Cyril, I loved the challenges it posed and working through them. Now if only more others felt the same way...

Also, the AI you raced against did make a difference this week, the fastest setup I found was this:

Newer SL600
E55 AMG
Golf V
RS6 Avant
Old SL600

You would swing by the first three cars, then tag along behind the E55 for a little bit, swing a tad to the left to go around it and thus getting into the SL600's slipstream for a bit before you pass it on the right. That flung you around the cars with more than enough time to get back to the left of the track where you want to be to get on the brakes for the first turn. I saw a fastest T1 quicker than any others posted, a 22.88x earlier on in the week before I even finalized my settings.

And here for your viewing pleasure, a picture of the coolest RS4 in GT4... I'm not sure about my wheels, but they were definitely cool enough to put on it, and definitely different. They're old school style black center, mesh wheels. I guess originally off of the Buick Grand National I think? Nice lip on them too... :cool:

EG6 is CLEAN and running with the correct settings... ;) Nice keeping the boost up there... Seemed to have a nicely oversteery setup, but kept it in check by using both pedals at once. As much as that style annoys me because it's useless in real life, you have to respect it...(and most/all of the D1 guys use it as well) I think if you turned on ASM Understeer somewhere between 1 and 3 you would've taken me if you spent enough time getting used to it.

Tagged you a rep point for getting it right, lol. You're doing even better than I was for not putting my all into my qual race... Much better than I was doing... And I thought I was doing well...

Using ASM was definitely the fast way around the track this week.
