Weary's lap is clean. 👍

Some nice drifting going on in there too, getting it a bit close in places but clean.

I'm going to have to start checking PAL - DS2 replays only from now on, I can really see where the DS2 is slowing me down now. :grumpy:

Thanks Darren 👍 I knew it was close in a few places but I was pretty confident in it's cleanliness, and nice work on cleaning up Neil this week. Looks like ol' Brad is a bit mopey about losing:

Who has a Division 1 win? Do you?

I do.

It is true you have a win, which I applaud you for...BUT...did you have to beat Dan in order to do it?

Casio
Don't worry Dan. I'll do it. I hear Colby likes [edit]Natalie Portman[/edit] now.

Fixed that post for ya buddy :sly: 👍

P.S Nice work on your lap too Kyle, I thought my ending was pretty damn sweet but you almost caught me, nice work
P.P.S I might add a thank you to ICEman who's settings really were tailored to my driving perfect 👍

EDIT: Meh, they came out quite dim... Forgot that happens... Both pictures look like crap. But you get the picture, lol.

EDIT2: Yeah, Doc, that's a PC program only... Thanks though!

ah, didn't know about the mac thing.
but here, i touched up your audi a bit as a peace offering.

Thanks man! My splits that are on the leaderboard aren't from my submitted race actually, I'm not sure where they would've put me on the leaderboard, but it would've most certainly been up there. T2 on the first lap was 1.08.6xx and on the second lap I'm not sure, but probably somewhere between 1.00.2 and 1.00.7... I deleted the file from my card after I uploaded it to the computer so I can't go back and check it now... :dunce:

I've come second to another Alien here, Second to Dan here.

Regardless, I have a win. I can only beat who submits :sly:

This is true...so for now, my second satisfies me...a Div win is on it's way though 👍

Congrats to Holl01 KLR142 and omelettes for the division wins! I loved this combo, i would upload a replay but my maxdrive usualy takes around 40mins to load up, my PS2 hates the disk, and purple/blue disks too...

Casio
Don't worry Dan. I'll do it. I hear Colby likes little boys now.

nasty nasty

Colby's your replay is nice and clean champ, well done on a nice second place overall...

i will upload my replay in a couple of ticks...

Results are up-to-date to this post.
I added jake73's time : he submitted early this week and I had archived his PM. I didn't remember it when I put up the results.
Sorry for that.

Argh, I actualy forgot to post my time this week. Probably for the best as it annihilated DIII but wasn't up with DII. My final time was 3'51.243. I got a bit tied up on Tuesday night, when I intended to submit, and so never did... :(

Week 66 looks to be such a challenge I will make certain I manage to submit this time......... :guilty:
If I manage to get my hands on the car

Congrats to Dan, in fact all of DI, for some awesome times 👍

Thanks for checking my lap, and the praise, KLR142!

KLR142
Seemed to have a nicely oversteery setup, but kept it in check by using both pedals at once. As much as that style annoys me because it's useless in real life
I don't know what you mean here. ? Everytime I get a Big Mac attack, I need to use this technique to negotiate the drive thru at my local McDonald's, without scrubbing off the velocity that I feel I need to get that precious burger in my face as quickly as possible. The first chicane leading into the sweeping left-hander can get a little tricky, if you don't use this technique.

Lol, yeah, brakes would never over heat if you used them and the gas at the same time at 100+mph... :sly:

But yeah, I definitely agree some sort of balancing needed to be done in that section to get through there cleanly and relatively speedy. My style was more of the roll onto the gas after the initial braking though. 👍

I'm off to check STLBarcelona5 and KLR142 replays.

Edit:

KLR142's replay is close but clean:tup:

STLBarcelona5's replay is nice and clean:tup:, and I wish I could drift like that:drool:.
Do you have a DFP?

i'm really pissed so few div3 submitted. luxy said i was only second to darkelite, and now there is only one other time in there. bollocks! so much for a first gold chance ...
never mind :) 👍 :dunce:

Amen! Thanks man! I'll go check yours out real quick and edit it into this post...

That takes care of all the NTSC posted so far... Just need a couple more PAL checked and then a replay file from Dan...

EDIT: GREEN! Speaking of close, you sure seemed to like those walls and the AI yourself! :)

Just checked the three PAL replays:
  • shockwaveracing, 3`46.642, 396hp, SS/SS
    gflag.gif
  • SuperT, 3`49.395, 396hp, SS/SS,
    gflag.gif
(But lap time is different to final result)
Don't know about holl01's though, I took this picture of the corner just before the bridge near the end of the first lap:

Compare that to this picture where I purposely drove into the wall at that point:

Oooh, that's tricky... Does the car feel an impact at all while watching the replay? Stupid curbs... They make no sense, other than looks...

We know that the replay is not accurate enough to show wall touches.
And we can't use the data logger since it's a multi§lapper.
So the only question left is : is there a sudden direction change that would indicate that the car touches the wall ?

Flat-out
is there a sudden direction change that would indicate that the car touches the wall ?

Or a speed loss (like 1-2km/h) while full throttle..

Replay.

Sorry. Just checked my submission PM to Cyril, my mistake. :dunce:

Good job Neil wasn't any closer than he was if I'm gonna start slowing myself down like that?

 for the thumbs up.

Oooh, that pic is very close to the wall-holl01 must have been going hammer and tongs to get a good time.

Nope, DS2. I should save some of my practice runs from races that aren't like this weeks (eg. 800hp +). From time to time I'll just drift every chance I can get. Guess I've been doing that for long enough I can get myself out of almost every bad situation. Almost...

Where is Holl's replay?

It's not in a post in this tread, nor is it listed in Cyril's No.1 post.

If there is a question about the lap, where is the replay?

Thank for checking:tup:, and about the walls and AI, I hate them:grumpy:.
It was like the walls were pulling me in:nervous:.

From what I can tell you have four issues Neil:
Ballstothewall
1. Where is Holl's replay?
2. It's not in a post in this tread,
3. nor is it listed in Cyril's No.1 post.
4. If there is a question about the lap, where is the replay?
1. In this thread
2. Yes it is
3. Hardly my fault?!?
4. Right here

There was no need to get short.

My bad. Since it was attached to Casio's post, I credited it to Casio instead of Dan. Results are up-to-date.
Darren's time is still accepted because as usual I accept one-digit typos. (935 instead of 395).
I'll take a look at Tannis' and Dan's replays tonight, and then the results will be official (3 days only after having been posted, +rep for every poster and checker)

You can also check the G-Force bar thingy. I personally don't have it on, but we had one week, the first handicap week if I recall where we had an issue with Dion's run. The replay was inconclusive but it was decided that since the g-force bar didn't alter from it's position then it was fine. Although this could be a more tricky situation as it appears to be on a corner (From the picture it looks like the left before the final hairpin).

 Thank you.

At least I was handicapping myself. :D

Over half a second though? Like I said before, at least it didn't change the results between me and Neil. Phew. :sly:

Sorry Colby, wasn't getting short with you, was just getting frustrated with not being able to find it.

The fact it was in Brad's post was the first thing that threw me,
It's not labeled as Holl's replay either (just 45.066.max), for a second,
and Cyril making the same mistake was the third.

No harm, no foul!👍

And I can't help being short, I was born that way!:)

Neil
