Crap! I forgot to submit! This has not been the best week for me. Oh well I enjoyed the challenge. Looking forward to Hong Kong I suppose.

Sure would like to see Sphinx and Mr.P's suspension setups

Who the hell do you think you are you little runt? dont just bring me into a debate with someone else suggesting that I suck any juice of any kind! ... I wont even explain myself to a tosser like you, but I will say back off idiot because I'm the wrong person to think you can rip the piss from! ... ok!

Cheeky little bastard!

You know perfectly well that it's metaphoric juice. Jerry claims that he couldn't stand me (and persumably others, because I know his opinion on the matter) sucking on the juices of others, i.e, using his set-up.

I find it no strange coincidence that Jerry and yourself, being good friends, both stormed away by almost a second from people who are at least the same level of skill as you. Both were asked if you could share your set-ups, both refused or ignored.

The hiding of information has always been frowned upon in the WRS. (Week54/55)

Wonderful, WRS is turning into a lets-see-who-can-take-the-most-advantage-of-the-rules-and-any-loop-holes-and-not-tell-anybody.

If it ever gets like that, then its a sad day. Only competitive or money sports get like that, a fun WRS should never.

Maybe im floored, But sometimes just because its not technically "illegal" to do it, doesnt mean you "morally" should. especially when its all in good fun and not even for money.

Had this been for Money, Id have nothing against Ben. Id have done the same myself. (shame also how money does this to people). But it is not, and its not suppose to be such a competitive eat your competitors, hide everything and not share. Your suppose to share and feed off each other and improve as a group, this cant be done if everybody keeps to themselves. So many racers have gotten fast quickly, how? From watching replays, reading tips, and using setups. If none of this happend, they would be much slower than they are now.

Holl01
to win when you have revealed every possible secret/tip setup is to win with added hounour and respect, to win secretively, like iceman, fasj8 have done these past few weeks, is to win with no respect from others, and it makes fellow racers annoyed with u. so can see that in the future, this thing won't happen again as quite a few people including myself have commented, and the general vibe has been delivered.

SPHINX
it's not against the rules but it's frowned upon everywhere, and it's this very reason why comments have been made here.

Looks like I'll have plenty to read tomorrow :D
Better get some popcorn before getting connected.

Ok so lets get this right! ... to race in the WRS you must post your set up during the week to avoid getting **** like this from an ass like you?

For one if you have to post a set up so as everyone can run the same car then why do GTmode in the first place and just keep it to arcade mode to cut the ****? and also events like the BC if you win a race by not sharing your set up will that be frowned upon also? you're making the rules up as you go along :dopey: I dont really give a rats ass what is frowned upon by you or anyone else for that matter!
Yes I am in contact with Jerry quite a lot and we chat about numerous things and I consider him a good friend ... Is that ok with you! .... what I discuss with people is nothing to do with you whatsoever ... get that into your head please!
You act like you are an authority in here when you are nothing more than a **** stirring idiot who needs to be warned by mods to stop harassing members who are doing nothing to instigate your crap :dunce:

I saw no request for a set up this week and if there was I would still not have posted one because I would not like to put on a plate something that an ass like you needs to figure out for themselves ;)

Whats the big deal with making a point of me being invisible Cyril? So what! you are a mod and can see things others can't but I see no other reason for posting that image other than supplying ammunition to that fool  ... get your head out of your ass man :grumpy:

Read that thread again and you will see that the dicussion was about sharing splits. My comment was about sharing splits, I posted splits this week.

Your problem is?

Don't quote me again unless you get your facts right. :dopey:

It's just courteous that if you seem to have a set-up that's almost a second faster then most at T2. That you give help to others. It's not a rule per se, but something that is generally accepted as the right thing to do.

For one if you have to post a set up so as everyone can run the same car then why do GTmode in the first place and just keep it to arcade mode to cut the ****? and also events like the BC if you win a race by not sharing your set up will that be frowned upon also? you're making the rules up as you go along :dopey:
I never said it was a rule. The BC is completely different to this so I wouldn't make the comparison. Although, I'm sure people like Dan might give their set-ups to someone to asked for them in the BC anyway. Lets go back to week 42, when Zikwik posted some splits that were a mile in front of anyone else, he posted his set-up because he wasn't afraid of having competition in an evenly matched vehicle.

I dont really give a rats ass what is frowned upon by you or anyone else for that matter!
I'd think respect from my peers is much worthier then an uncontested win. It's not just me who have these opinions either.

Yes I am in contact with Jerry quite a lot and we chat about numerous things and I consider him a good friend ... Is that ok with you! .... what I discuss with people is nothing to do with you whatsoever ... get that into your head please!
I'm just stating that I'm assuming you thought it was fine to share your set-ups with Jerry, yet not with everyone else?

I saw no request for a set up this week
Kyle
I wanna hear more setups! Any chance from you top DS2 users in the next 4 hours??? puh puh puh please? :)

and if there was I would still not have posted one because I would not like to put on a plate something that an ass like you needs to figure out for themselves ;)
So why even bother posting splits then?

It was after directly after Dion's post.
it almost sends across the message that he wont post because he knows he will get beaten, so he will stay quiet, which is complety within the rules, but considering Dan/Curtis always posts, setups, times, and even replays if you contact back channel, no matter how close they are. They never have anything to hide. when has dan kept something from curtis? or Curtis from Dan?

I assume you were adding on to that.

Looks like I'll have plenty to read tomorrow

Strangely enough, you haven't been invisible for me all morning? I don't see how it's ammunition either...

I understand if the dont want to share its ok. But there might not be any harm in it if you guys would do it now, since times have been submitted. To each his own. The asm thingy mr p is pretty insightful, it does somewhat explain how T2 could have been faster.

BTW ask nicer if you want better results next time.

Edit-Why is everyone so damn jumpy.

Ok Racers this is my replay if your interested. Im not happy with my time cos i didn't get as much time as i would have liked. Been naffed for most of this week and i still think there was time in me yep, anyway here it is.
👍 👍

And chill my friends and do your best, good or bad:dopey:

Quote .. quote .. quote .. quote .. quote .. quote :dopey: you're boring me now with all these stupid quotes :yuck:

As I said I dont care who thinks what about me as long as they keep it to themselves and not make a song and dance about it in a thread for no reason other than trying to look smart! I always reply to personal unwarranted attacks against me!

WRS does not appeal to me much nowadays and I thought I'd jump back in for a cool looking race ... what a mistake it was :dunce: you have a real skill at being an asshole mate ... If this was your goal in life then keep it up! you are doing a great job 👍

Ummmm, Mr P..:nervous: :nervous: :nervous: :nervous: Could you please pm me your setup then..:nervous: :nervous: :nervous: . I'm really curious. thanks.:nervous:

Exactly my friend. I always post my settings after the results because this is a gt-mode race. We compete on the track and we compete in setting up the car to improve our times.

I understand that many here want to learn, but it is my experience that the best way to learn is by comparing your attempted setup to the winning setup and seeing where the mistakes were made. Sadly there are some here who don't want to learn, they just want to be lazy and wait for the best setup to come along to show others how good they are, or how good they think they are, but in realality they just suck on the juices of others without learning anything. This week's WRS proved that because they didn't get a top setup this week and it showed big time.

That's why I'm corious to know. I really enjoy messing with and learning setups. Though mine was'nt top notch, I thought it was pretty good.

To be honest i don't think the setup makes that much difference with this car. I tried alot of things and didn't notice much if any change. I agained most of my time by learning the track better and Yes a big help from Evo Sport's suggestion on gears, Cheers Evo Sport. Cos i was really scraching my head on this one. I only wish we could change the caster too as that can help with power on and off steering:)

I didn't try very hard. I'm sorry I beat so many in my div:(.
I could have gone WAY faster, but I didn't have the time to get a faster time.
I'll have my replay up soon.

OK, here's my last post on the subject:

Casio
I'm just stating that I'm assuming you thought it was fine to share your set-ups with Jerry, yet not with everyone else?

Wrongly assumed, Casio.

Let me tell you something (not that I have to tell you anything). The settings I used were 100% all mine, every change, every minute adjustment was all mine, and mine alone. You don’t like that do you?

You also don’t like the fact that I won this week’s WRS, a bit like when I won that BC race and all you could do was slag me off with a personal attack whilst others were offering congrats, and that’s why you just had to make your little snide remark about sharing settings. Because let’s be honest here, you knew it would create a reaction, didn’t you?

Whilst on the subject of honesty, I can honestly say that it is my honest opinion that I honestly don’t give a rat’s arse what you or others think about sharing settings. How’s that for honesty?

Ya gotta love Made in Britain 👍

If I were to be honest again, I would say I don't feel much like posting my setup, not even my replay after this crap. Maybe I will feel differently after some sleep. We will see.

News Flash!!!
Casio & Sphinx raced in an evenly matched car. Same tyres, same HP, and the same weight, as defined in this weeks WRS combo. The only difference being is that Casio knows sod all about setting up a GT car and wanted someone else to do the hard work for him.

Casio
It was after directly after Dion's post.

I assume you were adding on to that.

Again, wrongly assumed, Casio.

Sphinx. (anyone else smell burning?)

Let me tell you something (not that I have to tell you anything). The settings I used were 100% all mine, every change, every minute adjustment was all mine, and mine alone. You don’t like that do you?
Ok then, I'll take your word for that. You're missing the point, the point isn't that you had a great setup, great enough to render the rest of the field obsolete, it's that you kept it to yourself. You have every right too, but it's not right too, if you catch my drift.

You said in the previous post that 'I understand that many here want to learn, but it is my experience that the best way to learn is by comparing your attempted setup to the winning setup and seeing where the mistakes were made.' But why does that have to be made after the race? You can still learn during the week. Especially since you only posted your splits with 2 or so days to go. So most people would have been trying their own set-ups anyway.

You also don’t like the fact that I won this week’s WRS, a bit like when I won that BC race and all you could do was slag me off with a personal attack whilst others were offering congrats, and that’s why you just had to make your little snide remark about sharing settings. I would have done it about anyone, don't feel special. I don't like the fact that you possibly only won because you concealed some winning settings. Don't get me wrong, you may have still won if you had of posted them, I don't know. It's the same as when Ben didn't tell anyone about qualifying in week 55, and Franciso in the Silvia week.

Whilst on the subject of honesty, I can honestly say that it is my honest opinion that I honestly don’t give a rat’s arse what you or others think about sharing settings. How’s that for honesty?
That's fine. But I honestly don't want to see the WRS go down that route. Where none of us post splits or settings, what would happen then? How would anyone improve?

Actually I posted my set-up, twice. And I feel I didn't do to badly considering my set-up I had. But I'm really interested in you posting your setup, so I can load it up, and see if it was the driver or the car.

Forgot to submit my 1:08.773 time, o well I have the replay saved incase anyone wants it, just ask. Good combo Cyril. I started with rmk's settings and made a lil' hybrid between his and what I thought the settings should be.

Jerome

I got gold:), not to bad. Anyways i'm going to check the NTSC replays and
I will have my replay and Hunter's replay up in a bit(because she is in bed).

Oye vey!

Whoa... my first attempt in Div. 2 and I finish 2nd? What went wrong there? :dopey:
Well, you were pretty fast for D3, weren't you? lol, and you probably spent a decent amount of time this week racing.
well patrick, i dunno but if you think 74 was easy 75 is probably a laugh to you. take one of the turbobricks and try to cope with the monumental understeer. if you fancy finding braking points while the corner isn't yet in sight, well then 75 is a great place to try it out.
btw your no rules qually laptime is still underway i presume? :dopey:
Aww, come on now, they don't understeer that much, they just don't have any grip! No grip means no traction, in a straight line, or turning. :)
WRS does not appeal to me much nowadays and I thought I'd jump back in for a cool looking race ... what a mistake it was :dunce: you have a real skill at being an asshole mate ... If this was your goal in life then keep it up! you are doing a great job 👍
No no no no no. Please do not take it that way, and please do not stop sticking your head in here every once and a while. We love having more racers, and we(most of us) like stirring it up with the older GT racers. FWIW, I don't mind that much if people don't post their setups, and I have nothing against the either of you two. I know that there was more out there this week, I just didn't have time to go and get it. The only thing custom on my car was gearing! Suspension and LSD were standard issue, not racing versions...

Casio(Brad) is not normally one to act like this, but I guess this week he's a bit irked, eh? I guess there's some past issues with Sphinx as well. And I wish I could apologize for him, but that's up to him, and it's most likely too late.

Also, I don't think Flat-Out(Cyril) meant any harm at the fact he was pointing out that you guys were all online at the same time. I'm sure that was him poking fun at the fact that he knew he'd have a lot to read the next time he got on the computer, that's all. Didn't mean to offend, isn't one to do that...

And while I did ask for settings from the top DS2 users(which were you and sphinx), I didn't necessarily expect to get them nor require that you posted them. Especially with the limited time left in the competition and the possibilty that neither of you would be on the computer before I could put in a final effort regardless. You guys are all good in my book, and I'm sure good in other's books as well. Can't please everyone though, just how the cookie crumbles.

Exactly my friend. I always post my settings after the results because this is a gt-mode race. We compete on the track and we compete in setting up the car to improve our times.

While I agree with what you're saying for the most part, I wouldn't say that last part. You don't know how much time some of us had to play, but yes, even still, some did have the time, just not the idea nor the want to go to ASM.

Anywho, I don't care about all this, you guys are you guys, and that's just how you are. No problems here. Please don't stop poking your heads in every once and a while!

So, did anyone else use standard suspension this week? I wish I had more time to play... Who knows how fast I could've gotten? :sly:

Bah! I'd have thought I'd have done better this week.

Still good fun though. 👍

Replay to follow...

- end of story, he said everything.
This forum is all about racing, and in the racing world car setup is a top secret information! :sly:
I'm one of thoose who like to learn, but not by stealing others driving techniques, but by my own hours and hours of practising and millions of car setups.
p.s. hope I'm not a disgrace for DIV 01 :guilty:

Boy did i miss some fun.

The only thing i will comment on...

Casio

same level of skill? I dont think so..

They may be old farts, but you only have to look at BC to see how much skill they have. I dont belive you are near the skill of those 2, but thats my opinion.

Well. I wasn't meaning just me. I personally think Andy is just faster then me, and rmk seems pretty quick too.

But for the Record. Since I've been in D1. Ron and I are 1 all (53/57). And I've only raced Jerry once, and that was week 47, which he did beat me at.
