Well i don't know what a dfp is like but i would have thought that force feedback would make it feel more real. Plus i wish i had a dfp:(

Make that 3.

Anyway let's just stay out of it and let it sort itself out?

You can now make that 4.

I have not got into this fight because I didn't want to make it worse then it
is, but could you guys please stop it make me sad to see this on GTP:(.
Also it makes my left arm twitch, and that's not a good thing:scared:.

!
I agree though, I've never known WRS to be like this. It's always been a very friendly atmosphere, and now..?

Crap.

....... and i always thought this to be a group of nice people playing a great game and discussing it over the web. well it appears the group is now less one member.

sad.

How dare I express an opinion. Obviously the fact that I've done 63 out of the last 64 WRS's, and that I think I've been more then friendly and helpful for 99.9% of that time, means nothing. Obviously all the set-ups, general tips, lap guides 1 on 1 advice on MSN, and replays I post, Nothing. And now I'm out of the group? Not that I know what the group is....

Read back. It's not the first disagreement in the history of WRS. Read week 55 results, or the end of the week 48 thread. And the 8-laps of La Sarthe week with the McLaren results (About 56).

And I will add, I do find it interesting how I presented my argument and opinion in nice, articulate posts (1,2,3) without resorting to personal insults. All I got in return was that my quotes are boring and therefore not worth rebutting. In addition to being called an runt, bastard, tosser, ass, idiot, fool, asshole. And I'm the bad guy?!

The only worthy thing from the other side was said by Jerry:

Exactly my friend. I always post my settings after the results because this is a gt-mode race. We compete on the track and we compete in setting up the car to improve our times.

I understand that many here want to learn, but it is my experience that the best way to learn is by comparing your attempted setup to the winning setup and seeing where the mistakes were made. Sadly there are some here who don't want to learn, they just want to be lazy and wait for the best setup to come along to show others how good they are, or how good they think they are, but in realality they just suck on the juices of others without learning anything. This week's WRS proved that because they didn't get a top setup this week and it showed big time.
I understand his point, although I do slightly disagree with it. But is null at the moment because he hasn't posted a setup like he always does.

dear brad, i was off course talking about ron and not about you. he was speaking about a final post and not returning. i was not part of this strange discussion and wish to stay out of it, if possible.
steven

This thread may well take over the Humour thread...

Still, none of the arguments made much sense.

Tis true... I do think though that between heated discussion amongst themselves they've blown it up a bit, and become more heated about the issue... :indiff:

I said in my last post that I was finished with this subject. You, Casio are obviously not. By not posting further I thought it would ease the discussion and therefore allow it to fade away. Oh well.

By your continuous postings regarding this matter you are making me even more determined in not posting my setup because the more you go on, the more I’m sure that you are attacking my integrity and this is just a vendetta against me for making you look a fool in the past, when in fact the only person who did that was yourself.. I will not stand by and allow you to publicly question my integrity just because of some settings that I didn’t post during a race. Get real mate and climb off that high horse that you obviously have no right to be riding.

Now give it a rest before you force me to write a long post about how I'm fed up with people with like you whom question my integrity and my contribution to the GT community.

And what will happen if the setup will be posted, and the times achieved with it won't be that good?

What the hell has that got anything to do with it? What are you implying?

I won the race with the time I achived because It beat everyone else who took part. End of story.

Hey, I'm not trying to get involved. I just thought to myself how it would look like if other drivers who would use that setup could get such times - it'd make most of the argument senseless...

why would it?

why would it?

One of Casio's arguments was that the setup brought you an advantage - a major one. But if everyone would run it, and you two would still win, we wouldn't have this argument, wouldn't we? Even if you all would do a re-run, just to see...

Mate, and I mean that because what I've read from you so far has been fine, but I really believe that you should think about bailing out of this discussion now as you don't get seem to know what's really going on here.

I agree. I don't want to start making enemys here.

What I think Metar (Gingiba) was implying is that what would happen if you posted the set up and no one could touch your time, still.

I don't want to get involved, already been attacked by sjaak.

Oh please give me a break. Here we have two people who have clearly stated that they don't want to get involved and yet do so. What's going on here!

Listen, it doesn't matter if I post my setup and then someone comes along and beats my submitted time. It even doesn't matter if they can't. Hell, I even beat my own time the following day, big deal, the race is over, it's been won and lost. I've never said it can't be beaten. Where the hell are you guys getting this idea from?

If you guys are trying to get me into a debate regarding who the fastest driver is here then forget it. I already know my place and I certainly don't have the arrogance/ego that is a requirement to discuss such matters.

Now leave it be.

Ok, ok. I don't want an argument here, that's what I said. I was just clarifying what was previously spoken by another member.
I never spoke of your driving skills.
I never mentioned your set up posting affecting me.

I mean, come on, what was wrong in what I said?

I dont want to get involved but here's what I have to say .. blah! blah! blah! .. but! .. I dont want to get involved remember :dopey:

Lmfao

Sorry couldn't resist :P

I didn't want to get involved, but someone decided they wanted me here.
So here I am.
I said nothing wrong.
I did nothing wrong.
Nor did most other people.
Telling Casio to get of his high horse? Come on, that's so hypocritical it's frightening.
Yes, you are both fantastic drivers who ruled the GT3 WRS, and I respect you both for that, but that doesn't give you any superority over anyone here.
Time here isn't always everything, it's about what kind of a member you are.

I tell you though, if this is what is to come of WRS then I'm going for good.

Just remember Ben that this argument regarding set ups was brought to us ( me and Jerry ) and not vice versa :sly: I dont go around threads looking for trouble it usually just appears and then it has to be addressed 👍

I have nothing against you as may have been mistaken from my last post! .. I was only messing about as my last sentence in the last post should have explained! Take whatever view you wish from this post! I think I have explained enough now :)

Mr P, please read your PM's in a minute. Glad there's nothing bad between us 👍
Sphinx, I hope you understand that I wasn't attacking you nor did I want to offend you. If I did, I'm sorry.
Please read my PM too Sphinx.

Excellent, glad to know we're in the clear Ron thanks for replying to the PM. 👍
Hopefully Jerry will take it the same way.

just finished watching sphinx's ntsc 1'07.1

I think everybody needs to remember this, Ron. Please take this in guys.

All I ever wanted to do was enjoy the challenge, post my splits, do my near best and then congrats everybody for a great combo. I believe I did all those things, even the personal congrats:

Nice turnout 👍

Congrats to all who kept with it, and also congrats to E30 Evo Sport & MINICOOPER120 for their division wins. 👍 👍

I'll upload the replay in about an hour or so...

But then this snide remark was posted and had to be addressed:
Nice of the top two to of shared their set-ups as well 👍

because it isn't the first time he has done it.

It's funny how arguments draw everyone in, it's like a high school fight, once it's on the whole world has to come and see  There's names viewing the thread that I ain't seen in months :) I'm sure veil will pop in soon :sly:

To all the newbies that feel awkward about it all don't stress, arguments happen, sometimes I think Forums were written to promote arguments. I wish this one could turn into less of a mud slinging match but such is life :indiff:

Ron and Jerry. You're both top racers, I know you feel like you're on the defensive but you don't need to be, like you said earlier Ron, let's just agree to disagree 👍

Now who's up for a game of Hungry Hungry Hippo ???

http://www.bustedtees.com/shirt/hungryhippo

Who wouldn't want that tee-shirt???

P.S That bustedtees site is gold if you want a laugh have a look at all the t-shirts they have. I think this is my fav

There you go everyone. Take DW's word for it and apply ASM 1 / 1 to your settings and Bob's your uncle, you now have a car that will own this race.

No need for my setup afterall. 👍
