It's all good Lofasz , no worries , nice finish for you and Z đź‘Ť your team 1-2 finish , maximum points is always good. Well done

I just had major issues here tonight and had to park it.

Thats alright we'll get em at Silverstone. đź‘Ť

Race went better for me then I thought. Had one hit into the wall, then a Penalty but other then that it was normal. had it not been for me covincing myself "Just do it for the points", I would have just sat out fuming. Next three races will be good for me as they are wide open and I'm very confortable around those. Now its time for Silverstone and here is two distinct onboard laps courtesy of Micheal Schumacher and Felipe Massa:

Terrible turn out for this race, which is slightly surprising given that it is monaco i thought everyone would want to have a go. Pretty uneventful race for me til i came up to lap Lewyos and we touched and unfortunately he spun. I waited for him to repass but he never did. Sorry about that incident, as a result of it Lewyos only came 4th behind comp Alonso. Does that mean you only get 5 points or do you still get 6?

I don't think it was a case of anyone not wanting to be there.

Qualified 2nd however a penalty on the very first corner ment I lost 2nd place to kakundoo straight away, managed to catch him him pretty quick I was quite a bit faster than him.
Followed him for a lot of laps without going for an overtake as I didn't want to hit him.
Eventually damaged my wing on turn 1 and so lost a bit of ground, but then saw kakundoo had crashed on the same lap also and I overtook him.
1st pitstops came and because of the broken nose, it meant a longer stop and so kakundoo got back in front, I was then greeted with a penalty after leaving the pits despite slowing down and keeping in the line, this happened after both of my stops and destroyed my race.
Missed opportunity.

Great race for me!
Well at the start my internet went so I had to late join during the Qualifying and got a terrible lap in. During my first lap I got passed LewOs due to his mistake and from there my nerves flared up and I decided to take it easy. I then made a mistake myself and smashed my front, left tyre off. I thought my race was over but I got passed LewyOs in the pits and again I just took it easy as I had no hope of catching Shaggy.
From then on the race was uneventful and on the last lap I pretty much cruised round so that I knew I wouldn't make a mistake.
All in all, a great result, much better than I expected! :D

EDIT: Sorry LewOs for holding you up.

I don't think it was a case of anyone not wanting to be there.

Indeed, most of us are going to turn up less and less now because we're all at work/uni/school/whatever and have less time on our hands. Or we all just have the same problem - family wanting to use the TV!
Btw, who got fastest lap?
I'm assuming these are the results?

1st Kakundoo/Jaguar 10pts
2nd Lewy0s/Williams 8pts
3rd Shaggy Alonso/Jordan 6points

Oh and to Shaggy Alonso - AI aren't counted when we tally up points, at tracks like Monaco its hard for everyone to stay ahead of them all the time and we are only using the AI to allow people to late-join, they offer no competition in actual racing other than to annoy by blocking the view, especially in rain.

Order was me 1st, Kakundoo 2nd, LewyOs 3rd then. I got fastest lap with a 1:11.9xx

Oh, good news I was able to book next sunday off work so I should be at Silverstone. God this week is easy, im off til saturday and then off sunday. The only thing that could throw a spanner in the works is if my g/f wants to do something on sunday but I think I should be free.

I hope we get a good turnout for Silverstone, I would love to win here at my Home track (even if it's the same for everyone else :D), but it would be great for a first time win.
I do hope for another great result like the last two races, and who knows I could steal 1st place from Fishfash in the Championship with him turning up to less and less races :D.

Silvestone is going to be a pain in the arse with the online cars. You need more downforce for a quick lap in the game, I managed a 1:16.4 in a McLaren offline once, but I don't think i've ever come close to even breaking into the 1:18s online.

Watch your back too, Shaggy Alonso and Lewy0s are not far behind!

Indeed, and good luck in the wet!:mischievous:

Heavy rain sounds a blast for Silverstone.. nice wide circuit to recover from mistakes, but also plenty of space to lose time. Should be a really good GP, though I think I'll end up doing my best impression of Felipe Massa.

It'd be wrong to race at Silverstone without rain, especially given how much it rained yesterday! I shall be at this race, unless something goes badly wrong.

AWFUL NEWS, As of 5/09 the F1CE servers will be taken offline for good.

I went online just now and the message was on the screen with all the channels.

We should have ample time to finish the season, but it looks like the days of F1CE online are numbered.

What!! Is this NTSC only or all servers? I suppose it was going to happen at some point, but still, wow.
We should the have the championship wrapped up by then, but if we get close, we'll have to start having races during the week too.

Damn, thats a shame if its true.

Any reason given for the pulling of the servers? Then again, the F1 series on the PS3 is going to a different company.

Brazil race for our season is scheduled 26th April, which is the last Sunday before 1st May.

You'd think they'd at least keep it online until f1 2009 comes out. Unless that's a sign of when it will come out :)

Tell me your kidding , right ? đź‘Ž

You know what really sucks about this ? It is also a 1 player game , so aside from not being able to play online , you can't even sit down with a friend to play it either. Oh well , another career mode is upcoming I guess , thats all you'll be able to do with this game now. :grumpy:

:( . That new F1 game better be coming out soon then!

LOL.

Well IMHO the next game by codemasters won't be as good as the current game. SL have been making F1 games since the mid 90's.

I could be wrong, but we will have to wait and see. Codies used to be one of my fav developers until they made Grid đź‘Ž

All they need to do is to put in green and red shells into Grid and we can play Mario Kart. :ill:

Lets all hope codemasters does something right on thier F1 game version.

R.I.P. - F1CE , you were a good game ....................

Aw, sh.. guess it'll be time to play some FC when this happens.

Yeah, that's how I'm looking at it. Until GT5 & the next F1 game come out, what else is there? I'd definately enjoy some online races at Spa. I've yet to try that out.

I'm not surprised though, considering the small amount of people who played the game online. Its a real shame, but adios lag bubble.

The silver lining is that it will make the remainder of this championship, that much more special. đź‘Ť

GTR Evolution.

Ah well it was inevitable I guess, I'm just glad the championship will finish in time. :)

Since F1:CE has a LAN option has anyone looked into doing some kind of VPN tunneling like people used to do for GT?

Just a thought...

I played GRID for the first time yesterday. What a horrible feeling it is to driver those "cars".

Well, there goes yet another F1 series to be short lived on GTP. I think we could do a future series on Rfactor(although a crap load of mods would be needed) or perhaps a LAN party as suggested.

The thing is, GRID isn't about Realistic sim driving, its just purely racing. Sure, it feels horrible because you're used to the sim racing experience of GT5P or F1CE so naturally it'll be alot different, but I wouldn't necessarily dismiss it.
