Speaking of normal, I've bad news. Because of moving to another city I won't be able to fire up my PS2 and so I won't be able to show off new pictures. Hopefully, I'll find some pictures on the computer I can edit. :guilty: Moreover, my internet connection will be moved, too, so I won't visit this website from July 28th to August 5th (Maybe earlier or later).

I knew, maybe I should've said weeks instead of days.

Anyway, today I took out some model cars and took some pics of them, hope you don't mind me showing them here. I'm very much a beginner when it comes to photography outside GT4, so keep that in mind.

Ferrari F50 & 550 Barchetta

Second one is a bit pixelly but I guess they're okay for a photography noob.

First SL55 AMG shot is great, and the third is fantastic, great lines:tup:
First Nanzenji shot is pretty wicked too.
If you didn't show those gargantuan leaves in the corner of your 5th Ferrari shot, it would look totally real.:dopey:
[Apu]What were you thinking!?:banghead:[/Apu]

👍

Such a great shot, Minolta!

Micheal: Thanks. I fixed the fifth Ferrari pic and adjusted the brightness/contrast a bit too.

Nenad: Thanks.

L_Ham: Thank you, I think I'll redo the sky on that one sometime since it's so terrible.

Here's a new update for you guys..

Also here's a little special for our guests :) :

Mercedes E55 AMG @ Fish Market

That is a sweet car!
How did you get that off the ground?

Probably hitting the barrier going quite fast and spinning out.

The colors of the first two Mercedes SL55 set, and the fourth shot of that set are amazing. The Nazenji picture is one of my favorites also.

Not so sure about this new one, though.

Thanks for commenting, but: In future, though, you should not quote so big posts, but just say post #7 (In this case). This way this thread is kept clean and still, everyone knows which pictures you're talking about. Your question is being answered here:

Probably hitting the barrier going quite fast and spinning out.

That's the trick!

Luke, colouring the Minolta was a great idea, but I think the fact for everyone it's usual to see it in blue, makes this shot not so good. But anyways, you had a great idea and that's what I like to see. 👍

I'm working on some GT4 updates, but for now, here's an edited version of a shot I took of an Alfa 8C I saw.

As you can see, I used waaaaaaayyyyyy too much contrast (a habit of mine).

Edit- Another try:

That's an awesome shot!

I love the 8C.

Thanks L_Hamilton.

Here's the first part of a series of updates featuring classic American muscle cars.

I'll post the links to fullsize later, I've got to leave.

Man I love the last GT40. Great composition, it just looks mean to me. Nice background blur as well.
I'm also jealous of your alfa sighting.

Thanks COOLfiat and Swissy. I saw the Alfa at a dealership, just as it was being loaded onto a truck to be taken away :( I did get to hear it though, sounded amazing. It really wasn't a very good shot, I had to clone out the tree in front of the car and some cars in the background (second one) and crop off a ton, plus all the usual stuff (brightness/contrast, hue/sat, etc.). The blur in the last GT40 is actually all in-game.

I'm not really working on an update ATM, just doing some random shots I already have on my USB. Don't expect an update for a while.

I don't even have decent dealerships here to go gawk at here. Do have the MB and Ford dealers though. The new Mustang is much better looking than a couple years ago. Anywho, I'm in the same boat as you, just milking shots from the USB now.

Last GT40 shot is my fave, but I don't like the orange in the border.
Second last shot has a great background but the car doesn't match:yuck: Perhaps a white production GT40 would do it.

👍

Yeah, now I know.

Swiss- We really don't either, all we have in my town are a Ford and a Chevy dealership. They really don't have anything good, just mainly Impalas and Malibus and Cobalts and Fusions and Focuses, plus the occasional Mustang or Corvette. The place where I saw the Alfa is 100 miles from where I live, I was in St. Louis and I figured I'd stop by to look at it. Here's the link to the site, here's the link to the pics I took there (in the DYSAGTEASE thread).

Thanks snake/gt and Mykolas.

I have an update ready, I might as well post it now.

Honda S500 @ Motorland

Toyota Minolta 88C-V @ Nurburgring

Fantastic images MinoltaMan89!!!! I will post my own album soon....

That's after I finish my exam... =P =)

Thanks, always good to see more people in the Photomode sub-forum.

that's a great shot! shame about the textures, but it's really good composition wise. you have a great eye i would say. it's almost better than having good postproduction skills. keep it up!

Thanks, I suck at cleanup and didn't know how to do it at all when I did that shot.

This image looks realistic:http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/562/s5000.jpg
And this one too:http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/1920/minolta3.jpg
It's the shade texture, and the Hue that make it realistic.

Thanks, even though you're banned and probably won't see this.

I'm liking the Nurburgring shots!

Thanks again.

New update, working on more:
Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto @ Citta di Aria
