Anyone know when it's coming out because I want to upgrade from my DFP to the G27 or the G25 taking in account that when the G27 will be released the G25's price will drop.

Thank you.

Yeah I'm also not sure wether I should just purchase a G25 now, or wait til the G27 comes out and buy a G25 since it will be cheaper.

The G25 is around AU$280 (eBay) and around $400-450 in stores.

I will be honest with you, yes the G27 has more buttons but for me at least, they have removed something that was very cool and that was the sequential mode, so all in all, you are actually getting less stuff this time around and honestly, the new look on the G27 doesn't justify its price. The LED light is so little that it looks like it was put on in the last minute, you can' barely see it..horrible and waste of time from Logitech. Go with the G25, you won't be sorry, trust me.

I just bought a G25 from Overclockers UK for £124.99 (not inc. shipping, I'm in Ireland, so shipping cost is more expensive to get it here). I had debated, weather or not to get a G27, but personally I didn't think the extra cost was worth it over the G25. Perhaps I should've waited to read some you guys opinions of the G27 before I made my decision, but what can I say? I'm impulsive ;p

ok g25 is a must. and this is why. if you love dirt? and you get dirt 2. i have the ebrake as down shift on the sequential mode. its def the best setup you could have and is by far the most fun. you can no do this with the g27.

Sure you can, you just put the E-Brake on one of the paddles, and then you can still shift and clutch like normal.

not as realistic tho..rally cars have paddles now days, and the gear down is a great idea 👍 right location and everything.

For those not into modifying their pedal boxes, the offset brake pedal would be better for heel toeing though

Then if your using Sequential, the clutch is open and you can map it to that.
(Not defending the G27, just shooting alternatives. I think the benifits of the new shifter and gearing and pedals out way the sequential shifter, IMO of course)

Where can I find a DFGT for $90?

Amazon my friend

wondering if anybody had news on this? G27 release date.

It is available at select online retailers. I ordered mine yesterday from buy.com. Logitech's official website is not selling it yet, but they are directing you to find it elsewhere online.

Let me know when you get it.

Ive tracked the shipping and it appears to be in the back of a truck, waiting to be delivered. FedEx does deliver on Saturdays in some cities, but I'm not sure my city is on of them (unless you spring for overnight shipping). Unless it arrives in the next 2 hours, Ill have it Monday (assuming I'm not at work when it is delivered).

Its going to be hard for me to do an objective review...Ive never owned a wheel before. I have used it for about 30 minutes on the NFS: Shift demo and I am impressed. I can say that (as I have read) this will take some getting used to. I am about to head over to the Shift thread now and get some settings. As of now I am total garbage. The wheel itself is quite nice. Its very quiet. The shifter seems to be the most impressive part. It is self centering and I haven't missed any gears yet. Beyond those spot observations, I cant give you too much useful info (without a comparison). Ill throw some pics up soon.

^ I'm in sort of the same boat as you. First wheel, but also first time driving a game in manual. I love the wheel so far. Got on Sat at Best Buy. Still getting use to it. I think I may just go for the wheel stand pro. My setup here is fine and sturdy, but I kinda am already getting tired of taking it out and putting back away.

If anyone who has both a G25 and G27 do some decent noise evaluations? I think I can only be weeks away from an axe attack from my neighbour.. He must think I'm sawing logs until midnight.. :)
