Sorry people, tinypic didn't give me a decent size so used imagehost instead (other hosting sites are available). Hopefully the attachement works. Check out the Deep forest one again. If someone can replicate this with another nurburgring shot then i'll give in. I am sure it is not nurburgring as there is no lake there. Going to check out the GT2 track list now.

The track with the question marks next to it is from the Ferrari 458 Italia video and it is not the Nurburgring. It's a track that runs round some corn fields that look very much like thoes in the Tocsana rally stage we saw in the E3 video. So I'd have an educated guess that it's a road track in Tuscany.

And I think the UK village is a Swiss village, it looks more scandanavian. It's not typical British architecture anyway.

Sorry Dave, i meant the track i have named Deep Forest. It is 100% not the nurburgring. Just looked on google and there are no lakes anywhere near that track. There is a pretty blue one to the west, but that is 10km to the west so no where near. Any other sugestions.

That's not a lake, it just looks a little bit like one in that picture. If you watch the old E3 video agan you'll see that's it's just the perception in that shot. It is the Nordschleife.

I don't know if you caught my othe rpost before the edit, but the photomode location you have as UK village is more than likely not a UK village. It's not typical for UK architecture that's for sure.

The pic you used for your Deept Forest is indeed the Nurb. We saw this image in the E3 trailer if I recall and it is the Nurb with no doubt. Check the video again but you'll see that the grey car and the blue car are a Mercedes SLR and a Mercedes 300SL. Just like in the E3 trailer.

So, no Deep Forest yet, but I'm confident about it ;)

Also, I'm quite sure the Bern track is actually a photomode location or a location similar to Bonn, Artweiler in GT5p (which I think are future photomode location for the full game :D )

Cheers Interpol, I just wanted to show the amazing diversity of tracks that PD have already shown us, especially compared to previous GT5 games. To all the complainers out there, ther ereally is nothing to complain about from these images. I'm more than satisfied with what is already on offer, but here's hoping there is more good stuff to come! I'll check out the video of Nurburgring again, i'm starting to doubt myself now so many people are confirming it ;)

+1

I'm sure its Nurburgring, the track isn't wide enough to be Deep Forest anyway, but that doesn't matter as it is The Ring.

I agree its not typical of the UK but here's a couple of examples from Chester & York town centres.

The "UK Village" is Bad Neuenahr/Ahrweiler, which is already in Prologue and like mentioned, "Deep Forest" is the Nordschleife. The road with the F458 is definitely in Italy (Tuscany) and your "Tuscany Square" is San Gimignano if i remember correctly, which should be here: 43°28'3.99"N 11° 2'35.63"E

EDIT:

Most likely, because like i explained before, a race is impossible on these streets.

Their close, bt the houses in york and other similar houses you see over here are tudor. I don't think the house on the right in the pic is tudor, it looks white and brown not black and the style doesn't quite match, definitely more bavarian or scandanavian. But it's not just that building that makes me think definitely not UK, the one on the left doesn't fit the UK either.

Your posts got me doing a bit of amateur detective work, I have found a picture of the exact building which will look familiar to everyone with GT5P, look through the arch at the square sign on the building on the left. Its clearly the same as the one in Ozybolairys UK Village, as is the pedestrian zone sign. The beer logos on the bar menu signs are the same as the A-Board in the UK village.

I am as certain as I can be that the Audi in the UK village is actually turning off Niederhutzstrasse onto Kanonenwall in Ahrweiler.

Massive picture alert

It is 8000% the Nurburgring Nordschleife. It's from the Mercedes/Ring video, featuring some Mercedes at the 'Ring.

"Charmonix" is Chamonix. "Gran Canyon" is Grand Canyon. And Mountain Track 2 isn't from a GT5 teaser, but a Ferrari teaser (but looks quite like the uphill section of Deep Forest).

While your at it, add this track (bottom picture). It's rumored to be San Francisco, but PD hasn't confirmed it yet.

Would love those San Francisco streets to be included in some way, recreating those car chase scenes from Bullit in either a Mustang or a Charger. ;)
Or at least Herbie....

I've taken all comments on board and come up with a revised version as promised. Keep me posted on any updates. Was wondering whether to include all prologue photo-esq locations that you see on the title page. presumably they will be included with a full photo mode. What do you think?

Image takes about 10-15 secs to load:

Agree. I'm already more excited about this possible GT5 track selection than I'm about Forza 3's. Btw, I think you can add Le Mans to it as well? There are video's that show Le Mans running on the Prologue engine if I'm not mistaken.

The above image is the unfinished version of the GT5 Lemans track. Sorry, but it's the only decent image I could find.

If you have the time & can be bothered, why not? :boggled:

Ok, Updated again with a few better images and more possible photo locations taken from GT5 prologue. I think i'm missing a few photo locations from prologue that I haven't been able to find image for. There was a london street and possibly a couple more race start locations. If anyone can direct me to where I can find some more images, i'll add them. Also, i've been a bit lazy with the names, so if you know the exact name of the location, please let me know.

(Large image warning!)

The photolocation you list as

"Ahrweiler again?" is Nurburg (castle)

"Village" (Second to last) is Niedertor, Ahrweiler

"Tree road (tree land?)" is Lenné-Park , Bad Neuenahr

"Dirt road" is Kamakura

"Night time building" is Tokyo

"Weihnachtsmarkt, Ahrweiler" (Christmas market) is just called Marktplatz, Ahrweiler (Weihnachtsmarkt must have been the christmas theme name)

If you want to find out more just start GT5P and run demonstration mode, it goes through at random and supplies the name of the locations.
