Rounds 3 and 4 to be posted later on today.

This week is going to be a little different, instead of the usual race days taking place today and Thursday, they're going to take place today and Friday.

The third round has been added to the race schedule. The fourth round will be posted before the day is out.

The only thing I'll reveal is that it's going to be a new vehicle, one I've taken quite a shine to.

Sorry for asking but this;
3. Tuning is allowed where permitted only.
is not entirely clear for me. I am allowed to setup the car so it could fit my drive style?

Right now is 22:05~10:05 pm so I'm going to sleep. I'll do some lap times tomorrow. No need to play without camera fully charged, and in the night where focus is bad.

Well, yes but the rule itself is stating that tuning is permitted only where you can adjust the settings based on the upgrades for the car.

The Nissan 370z is a slippery bugger , its hard to keep the back-end from stepping out. I can see why I never had the car in my garage and why it's a drift car, it is forever sliding in the corners, but I did get to grips with it with the limited amount of tune settings.
A good hard round T12. 👍

Good choice T-12.
Nice to have the option of tuning the car, right up my alley so to speak.
Glad to be back on track , last 2 weeks have been BORING without TT competition happening.

Proper time zone differences have been added to the race schedule.

NOTE: Those are not the usual times, and of course I don't expect anyone to stay up to the wee early hours in the morning darting around a track. Round 4 (which would have been posted yesterday had I been able to settle on an event) will be posted today with an improved schedule.

How much money do you want for that secret :) I'll be joining the competition for the rest of the season starting in round 4 👍

As well as re-welcoming R.W. to the competition, I'm extending the deadline to 5:59 PM April 1st.

That's 5:59 PM for us folks in the US and Canada, 10:59 PM for the folks in the UK, and 11:59 PM for the folks in Poland.

Pardon the double post, but Round 4 won't be posted tonight either, I can't settle on an event.

Anyone got any ideas?

How about Casino Riviera in the McLaren MP4-12C in a T-12 tune(awesome tune by the way), give us all a chance to really get to know that track as long as everybody has the Exotic DLC...

That's the primary thing that's stuck in my head!

Nitro gave a few good suggestions as well; the car was going to be the MP4 anyhow...

Reminder: Round 3 ends this evening at 5:59 PM, 10:59 PM, and 11:59 PM for the US/Canada, UK, and Poland, respectively.

I've got four times thus far (not including myself as I haven't run my round yet) am I missing anyone?

...Those who have already sent their times in need not reply.

Round 3 of the WTC 2 has officially ended, results to be posted shortly.

Round 4 begins 11:59 PM April 2nd for all timezones.

The results of Round 3 are as follows

1st: NITROVIOUS - 1:24.346 (+18 Points)
2nd: OZR-MrB52 - 1:24.677 (+14 Points)
3rd: darkos - 1:24.991 (+10 Points)
4th: Mannymoenjack - 1:26.092 (+9 Points)
5th: Terronium-12 - DNP (+0 Points)

Congratulations to NITROVIOUS who snagged the lead by .331 of a second, with OZ following right behind.

I'd also like to announce that the WTC 3 will maintain a similar format to this one, except I won't be participating as I'm simply fed up with the game at this point. Which, by the way is the prime reason I didn't participate this round, as the physics have finally worked my last nerve. I'm not ditching this season though, I'm still in...all the way. 👍

Sheesh! I really laid a big Easter Egg with that time! It's weird, I like Silverstone GP, but the International circuit just get's the best of me every time.

Congratulations to Nitrovious and a very well done to MrB. Excellent times both of you. (picture a thumbs up icon here please) LOL!

Great time NITROVIOUS, very close and Darkos only .3 behind in third.
I didn't think I would be faster than you Manny on Silverstone.
For round 4, any track with the McLaren MP4-12C would be great, what a awesome car. 👍

Thanks guys , very close times indeed.
Will be a pleasure to drive the MP4-12C on any track , great little car , like a mix between a Lotus and an Audi .

Round 4 is now up, and I'll update the tune with whatever I have (If I've changed anything since) before the round starts tomorrow.

Road America ?? :scared: The most hateful / hurtful track from them all. Alongside the SPA, where you can gain time by going off the track, taking turns very wide. I've never liked R.A and now i have to go there for some epic battle. :grumpy: Just kill me.

OZR-MrB52

Yes, Congratulations. I'm happy for breaking 1:25 barrier.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm doing this competition incorrectly. I only do one Time Attack and take my best lap time. Is that how everyone else does it? In this last one I took my best guess at the tuning settings that would control that wild rear-end of the 370z and then just did the TT. As you can see from the result, I had a rough time of it.

The intrepretation of " formal practice session " will need to be clarified.
I think you have it wrong Manny, if not then l have it wrong , because l ran 4 practice sessions while tuning before l ran the final time that l submitted.
The referee should be here soon. lol

I'll be the first to admit that I've lost my "edge" in Shift, because I've been trying to improve in Supercar Challenge and have been playing that a lot lately. In that game it's all about discipline, not getting on the gas before the apex, making sure you're going slow enough to get the turn in point exactly right, etc,. Basically all the stuff that you can fudge a little bit in Shift and still do OK. So I wasn't expecting to win in the WTC, but I wasn't expecting to be off the pace as much as I am.

I don't know it either so when practice is allowed then i take that car to Nordschleife and after 5 laps i had solid idea what to expect. When there is no practice i had to take the car directly to TT track. Like in this situation to R.A

Formal practice sessions mean nothing other then not having an officially scheduled practice round. You can practice yourself when and wherever you like when there isn't one, when there is a "formal" practice session that means you can only practice on the specified track and for a specified time period.

Just review the first round again and you'll see what I mean.
