Now Moved to Gran Turismo 6!

Well hello and welcome to my new tunes thread,

said cars, there is a tune for everyone as well.

I will do tunes based on a variety of different race
types and/or certain circumstances, a list will be shown below~
FT - Full Tune
SP - Sports/Semi Tune
ST - Stock Power Tune
R - Racing
Ra - Rally
D - Drift
Dr - Drag
(sub-tags: "I":Indy, "7":SSR7, "LM":Sarthe, "MT":Fuji, X:SSRX)

I hereby present you with a car that is synonymous with me - a car i have stuck
with for so long and will forever onwards in GT's future. This great little kei

REFLECTION CORNER
I feel this is a nice setup that can make this very civilian automobile capable
of some daring driving moves with its peppy handling and overall agility,
regardless of experience or driving ability, its a great car for a laugh and very
competitive when against other kei cars of similar class (not counting the
Cappuccino RM). Why stand there dawdling at its ridiculousness and overall
strange choice, have a try now and see what im fussing on about!

Mercedes 300SL Coupe '54

I hereby present you with my next tuned car, something a little different, but
I don't see why we shouldn't :P . I present to you, a 450PP Sports tune of
the Mercedes 300SL aptly named the "450 Scarlet DeviL", mainly because it

certain game I play. (original, unedited car picture HERE )

v1.2 Changes in RED

REFLECTION CORNER
Overall, this car me be a little tail-happy but when it comes down to it, it
feels like a good car to drive with plenty of grip when you need it, when you
put the effort in. A classic car should be fun an free, and i feel that this
shows that ideal particularly well. So whenever you can, experience this
nostalgic feel of the 300SL with a newly invigorated setup on the Nordschleife today!

REFLECTION CORNER
This car may seem like an odd one out of the bunch of GT5 cars to tune, but
by god is it great, its acceleration for a FF car is off the scale, its handling
even with racing tyres is second to none and its top speed is commendable.
It may not be fast as the real Blue Falcon but it goes quick enough in GT5,
although you should be warned, it does like to fly on tracks like Deep
Forest and Trial Mountain, so get your piloting license today!

Mitsubushi GTO Twin Turbo MR '98

After a little wait, here arrives my next tune. Ok, yes its not on the list of
upcoming tunes but i felt it needed a bit more exposure because i am very
happy with how this car drives, it is a wild animal (fitting that i call it the
'Yatagarasu' - basically meaning sun crow, or in this case ,and to refer to a
character from a game series i play; a "Hell Raven") but with enough practice,
this becomes one of the most formidable sports cars in GT5!

v1.2 Changes in RED

REFLECTION CORNER
For a car that is usually overlooked for its sheer presence in GT5's UCD listings,
this top of the range model is by far one of the most thrilling cars in GT5 when
tuned, it is a fantastic racing machine that can duke it out with many sports
cars and probably give them a run for their status. Don't let this one slip out
of your UCD - its one to look out for and not to miss when you see the chance!

Lotus Elise '96

Well, didnt take long did it? :P I introduce you to 'Elisa' - my Touge tuned 1st
gen Elise, made just for a little bit of a good laugh and to have fun trying out
unusual Touge cars. However despite being some sort of fun experiment, she
has become a rather determined machine, with plenty of potential within a
good driver's skillful grapple of the wheel or controller. Just be careful

REFLECTION CORNER
Overall, This car will try to throw you off a lot, paticularly the case because
of its MR drivetrain and the undulating roads of the Touge - but if you just
want to have a laugh while being a nippy contender, you cant go wrong with
her. Just remember to be careful otherwise she wont take too kindly to a
yobbo thrashing it about like a crazed lunatic - she will fight back.

I'm not home a lot (Old truck driver here 👍 ), but I did test the Eagle tune a little before I hit the road and was just wondering why so much toe? More then two or three laps at a medium size track and the front (drive) tires are shot. From what I remember it was a good tune (will give you full review when I can) just the toe seemed a bit to much. Might want to play with the springs to make it turn instead of the toe.... I think :dopey:

Im used to putting a bit of toe on my cars, not sure why I put as much as I do sometimes though (and I forgot to set tire wear on when I tested this tune :dunce: ) . Im not that good at tuning, I just like to tune a lot of cars for a bit of fun, and to enjoy GT5 in as many ways as possible :dopey:

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 '09

I will say this right here and now, I do not like the Veyron at all.. as you can
tell by its picture, and how much you will realise once you see this tune. But
now due to my tune I actually enjoy using this heap of overpriced, money-
grabbing junk.. I just hope you all like this hilariously odd tune as much as I
did when I felt I was ruining the thing.. just don't kill me for absolutely ruining it!

v1.2 Changes in RED

REFLECTION CORNER
I'll be honest, I do commend the designers of the Veyron for what they have
achieved, but I just really don't like the car in general.. so I kicked it up a
notch and made it a surprisingly viable car for 550PP racing (just inch the
power limit up and it works fine and dandy) and with its much smaller power-
band, it now handles a lot better than it used to, along with how the
suspension is tuned. So I hope you enjoy using this
car in a way you may have never expected!

REFLECTION CORNER
This car was vigorously tested for many many runs around the fabled
Trail Mountain circuit, Many adjustments were tried and tested to their
limits and then I finally reached zen, I managed to tame the Spirra to
its fullest potential. With the help of this tune, maybe you can now also
tame the beast. It still has all the bite it had when it used to try
and kill you though, so be careful, and merry christmas!
:D

Nothing too substantial, hopefully might be able to post a new tune tonight, but for now there is a first page template edit including a banner and an easier layout of the tune image links. probably edit this post later or add a new post, should I be able to get a tune in tonight. :)

Hybrid by day, Racer by night - defy convention
One of my earliest cars obtained within my Gran Turismo 5 progress, and possibly
one of the earliest cars received by any player. Yes it may use hybrid technology
but do not for a second let that put you off, this thing is FAST and a great car overall
to drive, and that is just stock. With this tune i hope to have gotten the most out of its
performance capabilities and show that some hybrids can be taken seriously on the track!

I have owned this car from pretty much day 1, it was also my first fully tuned car,
but back then I didn't know the whole tuning systems and statistics. Since then this
car has been thoroughly improved from its initial full tune to the spec you see here
in Phantasmagoria Performance. Some cars are overlooked, dont let this be one of
them, try it out and see if you enjoy it because this is the coolest hybrid in the game!

New video recorded of my 'Mythical Motor from the East' with its best time around Trial Mountain. I am not very good but I feel I pushed the car as much as I possibly could, and I hope you enjoy the video, depending on feedback I may make more of these for other tunes :)

REFLECTION CORNER
Honestly, this did take a while to refine, considering 900+ bhp on slippery snow
or gravel is enough to make your mind melt from all the potential damage you will
make to the car, especially if its a GT-R. Yes its top speed may be a very low
160mph, but the almost nuclear acceleration more than makes up for its lack of
speed on the twisty off-road circuits, you could say this is a modern day escudo..
without all the fame, but im not after fame, im after enjoyment and a good laugh,
which im sure you might get from driving this experiment waiting to explode~

REFLECTION CORNER
Honestly, this did take a while to refine, considering 900+ bhp on slippery snow
or gravel is enough to make your mind melt from all the potential damage you will
make to the car, especially if its a GT-R. Yes its top speed may be a very low
160mph, but the almost nuclear acceleration more than makes up for its lack of
speed on the twisty off-road circuits, you could say this is a modern day escudo..
without all the fame, but im not after fame, im after enjoyment and a good laugh,
which im sure you might get from driving this experiment waiting to explode~

its also a pretty fast indy tune!

its also a pretty fast indy tune!

Oh wow, I had absolutely no intention of that but its great to see it can be a multi-tasker, I thought it was quick but I didnt think it was quick enough to be perfect for Indy 1/4 Mile drags, great to hear!

EDIT: My goodness your right  ! Just tried it for myself and the top speed coincientially is the perfect amount for the length of the drag, I have now added "Drag (Dr)" criteria to my tunes and put it with the GT-Radioactive :D

Finally, a new car added to my garage, and this time its an old classic,
a Nissan Fairlady from the sixties, tuned with Monaco in mind its made for
tight roads and precise cornering, although it still can be rather tail-happy, its still fun though

REFLECTION CORNER
Overall, This car is particularly difficult to handle, and made with small,
twisty tracks in mind, so it may not be good for bigger circuits, but for
tracks like Monaco, it should be a very nice drive, so go take it into the city today!

Mini Cooper S Countryman '11

Ok then, A Mini that isnt really a Mini, but is an Opposite Mini!
However, there isnt anything Mini about its performance out on the track,
It isnt too bad of a car, despite its SUV styling and looks, but as they always say;
"Dont judge a book by its cover" and this Countryman was made to suprise! :sly:

REFLECTION CORNER
I'll be honest, I do not like the new BMW-MINIs, but i couldnt pass tuning this one up.
Originally it was for a laugh, a joke, and to see how the DLC Car Pack 3 cars handled
in full-spec tuning, and I have to say this one suprised me the most. It is capable of
being toe-to-toe with many cars in the 450PP range (just add a tad of power limiter)
and performing as well as they can, despite it being a big hulking SUV, FF drivetrain
behemoth. Despite all of that, this little 'experiment' was a success!

Citroen C4 Coupé '05

Back after a little break with a fresh new ride. This time with an unorthodox

affectionately nicknamed "Neon Sky Overdose" due to its frantic handling,
peppy acceleration and its eye-searing blue paint job!

REFLECTION CORNER
This was mainly an experiment to see what I could do with an unexpected
vehicle choice for a commonly used performance regulation used within a
lot of the GT5 online scene. I feel it remains a unique contender and a great
blast to drive, whatever the weather!
:D

I just tried your C4 at the Tokyo seasonal and only managed 4th on sports hard tyres.

I wasn't able to get on the power early enough because of the understeer out of the corners.

I'm gonna test out the Talon when I come across one but I might try the tune out on the Eclipse.

Thats what i get for only really testing it on Monaco :ouch:
It was very hard for me to get it to work as it needs very gentle acceleration control, but even then it can wheelspin, I think it may be the wing since its on the rear wheels where the grip is fine at, maybe I should try less down-force.

It could also potentially be the limited slip, but whether its too high or low ill have to investigate. Having not played GT5 in 3 months also dosent help

I'll edit this post with my findings, I dont do tunes to be the best, but just for fun and enjoyment out of making unorthodox cars great to use. :)

I did find a sweet spot in the throttle where the car didn't understeer, but that was only on the long right hander.

I have made some amendments and fixes to the setup after trying the same seasonal, before any changes i couldnt get higher than what you got (4th) but now with the tweaks it handles a little better at the corners, which was enough for me to get 1st on the last straight, it is still a bit difficult at times but it can turn better than it used to ;)

[offtopic] I also got my 7th/8th ticket 1000 after that race as well  [/offtopic]

I'll test it out again.

I could only manage 3rd with the tweaked setup. I then tried a quick setup of my own and got 3rd again, I don't think French cars like me too much.

A tiny update on my first tune - the Daihatsu 'Mighty Move' has been added, its a really small one but it can be significant while driving.

Im also using this post as a way to say im also back from a 2-month GT5 break and plan to post more tunes very soon :D

REFLECTION CORNER
An unpredictable contender for rallying - this was my main thought
in looking for a good car to tune for this discipline of racing. Since
the Sirion has had previous experience in rallying events in real life
in Japan's udner 1000cc class, i thought i'd give this a shot to boost
its potential to levels where it can go toe to toe with Evos and
Impreza's on tight and twisty rally tracks. Unpredictable. Unexpected,
but Unprecedented in approach. Give it a try!

Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe '97

American technology
British handling
Japanese philosophy

These three phrases are what I followed in the creation of this tune: To have
an underrated american car, make it handle like a british lightweight, but not
lose the natural feel of the original car, to keep it balanced and full of soul.
This car isn't made for winning, its made for a great driving experience~

v1.2 Changes in RED

REFLECTION CORNER
I wanted to make a car with a soul - a natural driving feel and a fun, balanced
drive. Out of all american cars I feel the 90s era Camaro did this job best (It is also
a sadly overlooked and under-appreciated car), and this tune is meant to improve
upon that formula, while still remaining relatively tame. This is a car for the
enthusiast or one who just wants to enjoy the open road with your inner spirit~
:)

Many of the cars have been updated to reflect the HUGE overhaul the PP system has had on the most recent update of the game (2.10)

This is also a post to say im not gone, im still here and that I will try to make more tunes again, the new PP system is MUCH more balanced out now than it was before! :D

EDIT: PP numbers retained to pre- 2.09 levels
