Hydro-Drifting - Tsukuba(wet)

If you guys ever seen the D1 pro drifters compete on a wet track, most of them spin or run into the wall. So i decided to try it out in GT4, since i didn't even bother drifting on the wet track in GT3. It's awesome, especially the wet track being Tsukuba. It's pretty difficult at first, i still have a hard time on some corners. Had to change the tires to N3's.

Anyway, here's a video demo, in the same fashion as my first. I tried a little editing this time, hope its not too bad. enjoy.

my first hydro-drifting question: my S15 unders during the entrance on the wet track (you may notice in the video). any clue? should i just brake earliar?

Please PM me for re-upload requests.

Note: havent watch the vids yet

In the wet you have something like 60 or 65% of total maximum grip
so yes, brake earlier and with less force to avoid lock up at turn in

i'll have a look at these later this afternoon and edit this post if i have comments

dude that vid was mad nice...i like how u edited the video...like at the very end where it slows down and u passed him up... where u racing the AI?...and how did u get the tsukuba wet track?

edit: as i rewatch the video hahaa...kind of reminds me of initial d fourth stage battle with the cappo and 86...still good none-the-less

WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW, I will create a sort a map now wich says "fav. top 5 drifting vids." on my wallpaper stuff you know, not that THAT matters but it's my ABSOLUTE FAV. DRIFTING VID.:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:tup: I'm going to do it RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!! (trying to do it)

Especially with that Saleen, but I wonder why that back of the Saleen in that Alt one view looks so drawd you know? Like drawd with a pencil?? I think it's just a quality matter, anyway it's the nicest vid. i've seen so far:tup:. 💡 Make another......let's say........>5000< of these okay:sly::D:lol:

Nice editing, especially the second half with the rear views and especially the slow mo when you drift pass the other car on the last turn of Tsukuba.

That was frikin awesome..like that song too.....

i was shocked when you made that pass on the outside in a drift....that was ammazing

what are you settings for the s15

nice editing

Your absolutely right about that final corner, I forgot it cause of the general exitement I had about the vid. 👍 RRRREEEAAALLLLYYY GOOD

PLLLEEEAASSSEE POST THE SETTINGS!!!! I think I just need those, and.................well just POST THEM:crazy::crazy: And don't say you just put tcs and asm of, cause I just won't believe it.

That was pretty interesting. I like the rain effects in GT4.

As far as the drifting goes, good stuff. Obviously you were going for more speed then exhibition. But it was a good showing of potential in the rain.

Nicely done. 👍

hey, sorry for a late reply, i just woke up. thanks for everyone's comments.

S15 hydro-drift settings:

vehicle: Nissan Silva S15 Spec R Aero

What to purchase-
engine: Everything you can upgrade in engine tune-up. NO NITROUS, won't touch that cheap stuff.

exhaust: sport

suspension: racing
ride hieght- 86/86
stabilizer- 6/6
everything else left default.

transmision: racing
auto-setting-12
triple plate, race flywheel

quote to remember: (“Drifting with ASM Understeer on is like riding a bike with training wheels” ~ TankSpanker)
asm understeer: 21 <-choose to or not, i made the acception for this paticular track.
all other assist: 0

LSD: 1.5 way

tires: N3

Weight Reduction, all 3 stages + roll cage.

That's it, not much you need to buy, nor need to tweak. 279 total psi. Works for me 👍

As for the questions of "how I did this/that", just try it, and practice.
the race is in Special Condition, Tsukuba(wet), normal difficulty.

Ketis
can you only go to wet races in the special condition area or is there a way to go in the wet by urself?
it's under Real Courses in GT mode. beat the special condition races and get the track in arcade mode.

REALLY thanks for posting this up immediatly, but well, it's time for my sleep now:indiff: So I'll try it tommorow:D I just have like half an hour and I just have to finish one race so..........just not enough time for really get practicing.

hahaha, i thought someone would mention bout the assist. I was having problems with understeer during the entrance. that's my own solution. otherwise i recommend braking early, which TankSpanker also confirmed. have fun

very nice. i'd give it a 10 for 10.

i was watching lo-res too, i may just d/l the hi-res cuz it was worthy.

Nice vid... That course makes me miss the wet course from the Special Stage on GT3... Wet courses look good a night... To digress a bit... I hope PD will have at least night and day option for courses and a wet course option on GT5...

Hey, that's right where I am, just finished the ep where they first start racing. Guess I'd better go "aquire" the rest of the race, if you know what I mean.

beating the saleen S7 is easy at the wet course in Tsukuba
The saleen is very slow at the entrance and the exit of tsukuba so you can beat it with drift.
but i was very suprised that you can beat the saleen from out side impressive vid 👍 👍

this is very true, thanks for mentioning this. thats why on the straight i could keep up with it in the begining because the S7 couldn't pound the throttle or else it would just get wheel spin and go nowhere. it slowly gains the speed, but it has to brake really early and take the corners carefully.
