Well, since no one sent me an idea, I'll have to pick it myself.

To boost participation.. And because I'm extremely unoriginal, I thought we'd do something pretty broad, somewhat easy.. So, take a picture of Nature.. More specifically, however, plant life.

I chose "plant life" 'cause I don't feel like seeing sunsets and so on. Basically, take a picture of a plant.. Could be a close up of a flower, could be a bunch of trees.. Whatever. 👍

I actually took a pic last night of one of my plants. 👍

Here is my entry, I may change it during the week though. -

Nice!

Cake, love the water drops.. Adds that something. 👍

There's next to no greenery anywhere near my place and I have to send my camera back to sony. I'm not 100% sure I can enter just yet.

Any constructive criticism for mine?

I think it looks good. Maybe darken it a bit so the flower won't seem so overexposed. Another idea is the placement of the flower. I'd move it upwards a bit so the gap between the left side is even with the gap from the top. I'm being overly picky, but hey; it's c&c :sly: .

I have very limited space. To the left grass, to the right a stone retainter wall. I can't wait untill I graduate so I get my Fuji S5100 so I can finally do some photography. That 935 was pain stakingly hard to get a good shot out of it.

FINAL IMAGE
Hello to you!

I like the picture.. Specifically how the off-focus flowers almost give off a glow.. Very nice. 👍

@Powripper, that looks ok, except for the pink light spot.
@Cake, that is great. I really like the water droplets, they look so realistic.
@Antihero, I like the reflection off the water, but it would have failed the photography class I took at school because the horizon is in the middle, but I really don't think that matters. Also, thanks for the comment.

Did you guys see this FAQ thingy - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=61767

Sorry my images are a few weeks old. It is the closest I have been to plants since last fall. We still don't have any plants yet because it is too cold around here.

I'm envious of you all! Every picture entered so far has been wonderful! I finally had a chance to go out today and snap off a few pictures, but not too many of them were flowery. I did grab this, but only had one flower picture that came out real decent. I need to retake it because the aperature was too large and a lot of the DOF and feel of the flower was lost.

I have an idea that I've tried a little and its show promising results. I'll have to give it a try tomorrow night. Its night and requires a long exposure time. Even four minutes didn't give me what I wanted!

Should we post pictures that are possible entries here or should that go in the "Photography Thread".

Just a side note for mine, please click on the thumbnail, the thumbnail makes it look very pixelated.

Post'em here, just mark your final entry with "FINAL ENTRY" or something. 👍

Awesome, thanks.

You can see what I mean when I say the DOF is a little too short. I'd like for the whole flower to be in focus.

Then I stole anti's idea and went for a broader botanical subject. I think the trees curve around the sun nicely.

Finally had some time to go through and edit some of the most recent pictures. These are a couple of other entries that I'm thinking about.
