All drivers must send in a replay before the DEADLINE, Email - tosk@swiftdsl.com.au
Please ensure that you include you name in the subject line so I know who it is from.

SUBMITTING TIMES
All times MUST be submitted to myself via PM or Email. Please use the following format....

DRIVING RULES
- All races must be 100% wall free.
- 2 wheels must be on the track at ALL times (Ripple/Rumble strips are part of the track).
- No AI contact is allowed.
Only sector 2 times are to be discussed during a race.

Just a quick question for London.

Are the pavement allowed ?

Also concerning gearchanges, I would suggest to not authorizing the use of the Clutch for the G25 users as in some car like the Ford, it is a big advantage ;)

Great little combo :cheers: It's like threading the needle getting past the AI in the corners with no contact on lap 1 but perfectly doable .. will be putting some good effort into this one anyway :)

Very good combo and funny AI... should do well on this... too bad we don't see where we are compared to others ;)
 
I watch my T2 whilst in race as it's not available in replay mode, so far my best clean save has ... 40.8xx / 30.0xx / 30.1xx

There's so many ways to gain but push too fast and you can meet the AI at bends you cannot pass unless you can perform some miracle driving :lol: ... I really am loving this combo :cheers:

Yes they are allowed, as long as it is still within all of the other TORC rules.

WayneGTC - too bad we don't see where we are compared to others Well you do, sort of, as soon as people start posting T2 times.

Mr P - Glad you like the combo, I think it's going to be a real challenge when we get towards the end, trying to get that extra 0.1...

F1KimiFreak - just a noob question what was Lap T1? It's the 1st sector time from lap 1.

MeAgainstYou - ASM: Off - TCS: Off - Quick Tune: Reset to Default?? - What do you want then??? - It refers to car setting that you must use...
Stability = Off
Traction = Off
No quick tune allowed, you must reset to default. Hope this clears it up.

Shoemacher - Your right, setttings should be default but the tyres can be changed to R3's. Orange paintwork.... me too, not sure if that's a good thing? lol

POINT to NOTE
Entrants that have to abilty to use a clutch are not to use them, this creates an unfair advantage.

The main problem in not having any other pilot time infos is that nobody knows if his time is good or not, which means not a real fight at the end for those extras tenth of sec as we don't know if we allready made a fast enough run !!!

At the moment I think my time is good.... but how good ? :sly:

I agree T2 is a good info but on this track (as many others) you can gain or loose so many time in last part.

Hope all of you are enjoying this combo


PS: This is not a critic but only a point of view, I just think that knowing where you are comparing to others make you want to improve your time in order beat your friends.
Not knowing doesn't have this effect ;)

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR REPLAY SENDING

Please note, when sending replays, please ensure you follow these steps...
1. Copy the replay from your PS3 to a USB device
2. Zip the replay folder (not the just the files inside), leaving the original folder name intact
3. Email it to tosk@swiftdsl.com.au

If anyone has any questions regarding this, please ask.


MeAgainstYou - How do you know that people will not tune the car? Sadly there is no software that allows me to check settings, so yes just trusting. But that is part of the reason everyone needs to send in replays.

ragman - yep, spot on mate, everything set at default, but ASM=0, TCS=0 & Tyres=R3

Shoemacher - OK I have a problem, it doesn't display times in the replay. That's an issue, must have missed that during testing, if the "T" times can not be displayed, please record your lap times.

Womble - ASM=0 & ABS=default settings

WayneGTC - Thanks for your point of view, I know what you mean regarding keeping the race times quiet, but I do love the "not knowing", you just have to race your ass off to ensure you have done your best time!! lol

superwally - Not too late to join mate. But can you please ensure you read all the rules in the signup thread, good to have you on board.

ArcFlyer - This is an issue I have overlooked, if you miss them during your race, then just include your lap times.

Tosk, how do you view the replays? Do you have a specific program or something? I sent you mine, and I hope it works, but I wasn't able to view it with what I had on my computer.
 
Prancing Horse - For a guy that has not got the update to the new physic's yet, you are putting some of us to shame with a T2 of 30.8!

Mr P - Great to see you vist TT again Mr P. 30.0! I'm about 2 seconds away from that! :(

AERO_HDT - Since the replays do not display split times in replay, you can leave them out when submitting your time, but you must still submit all your lap times.

RacingFreak2k3 - doggyollie is right, viewing replays is done on the PS3, I just copy the folder that you guys send me to a USB device & then copy it to the PS3. I watched a test replay from Loxley before TORC started, which we could never do before (PAL v NTSC) and it worked great. But since the last update, they must have changed something, as I am now having issues with the US replays. I will keep everyone updated on what's happening with them. One way or the other I will get it done.

cerbrus1983 - I think I did manage to catch that Cappuccino just before the finish line on lap 3, but my race was not clean, so that one wont be submitted.

AERO_HDT - I nudged an AI driver more to my own detriment as it cost me speed, but I'm unsure if Tosk will accept it. Sorry AERO, if you have any AI contact (even if you get disadvantaged) it is not to be submitted. The rules are tuff, but they are the rules, sorry mate.

Looks like I need to hit the track again with some of those T2's, I'm still in the 32's :(
 
Finally got some time today to sit down & have a real go at this race. After about a trillion re starts I finally managed to get a clean run, and even managed to better it... once. I have still left 0.3 seconds on the track away from my perfect run, but I have a feeling it will stay there.

Godson - I know how you feel, I ran about an hour of ****ty races, until I quit out & re started with a different group of AI, that man the world of difference. but your 30.2 is still impressive, I think the best I saw was a 31.0

davissi - Regarding split times, it was only noticed after I posted the event that split times do not show up in the replay, so if you can write them down, do so, but if you can't, just send lap times.
 
I gonna have to skip these events. My school just started and I do not have the time to focus on doing a clean lap with the AI. I try to limit the amount of time I spend playing games and trying to complete the event takes too much time.
 
My apologies, but I have to withdraw as well. I just don't have the time needed to spend atm.. Have fun!

T2's... 41.1, followed by a couple of 30.2's.

Really nice car/track combo :)
 
GTP_Pie & Timppaq - No worries about withdrawing from the comp guys, real life has to take the #1 spot... sometimes ;)

AERO_HDT - It is a big test of patience, but when you get a good run, it is amazing how good it feels, and even get you thinking you can do a quicker run.

cerbrus1983 - I agree, getting that 1st lap clean it the really hard bit & after that the next 2 laps seem easy.
 
Will submit my time now.

T2's are 41.0 29.9 & 29.9 I had best one @ 40.9 & 29.8 but not in this run.

doggyollie - Yeah, UTC is what I ment, opps. As for the ABS, you will have to wait & see, as some of the cars might just have no ABS as default...

AERO_HDT - No worries mate, I think you will make the deadline, just, as the deadline is 10am UTC, you had just under 12 hours fro your post!!
The replay folders only needs to be zipped cos it is critial that the files structure & name needs to be unmodified.

Godson - Can you attach your replay to a PM?

Mr P - I agree mate, I actually enjoyed the race, despite the AI on lap 1

Preliminary results will be posted ASAP.
