NO! EJRocky's right. GT is about cars. If they had bikes, it would just turn into will almost, TOO much. I think it would also start to turn into games like Midnight Club.
The inclusion of bikes would not suddenly turn the game into a Midnight Club like game. Just segregate the racing and only allow cross racing in a free ride mode.
I just think having bikes at all in GT is a bad idea.
I can't imagine driving a motorcycle with a steering wheel. If you can't lean into a corner I won't bother with it
If they have bikes in GT they should release a full size "controller".
I would spend 3, 400 dollars on a proper motorcycle simulator seat to go with quality PD motorcycles in GT5 or 6
with 3400 bucks I'd rather buy a REAL motorcycle.
GT is about cars.
Not dressing up in skintight leather
i hope they bring The 1886 Daimler Motor Carriage from gt4
I've ridden bikes and driven cars for many years but they offer vastly different experiences due to the inherent differences in how you control them. You turn the wheel of a car and it goes in that direction but the same doesnt apply to a bikes handlebars. You use counter steer to turn a bike so actually push the left bar to go left which is hard to get your head round but it is true, in addition to this you use your body weight although it has less of an effect than you would imagine. You really cant replicate the feeling of being on a bike in a computer game which is why the majority of bike games are rubbish, its much more realistic to experience driving a car using a force feedback steering wheel.
I love riding bikes but wouldnt want them in a full Gran Turismo game as I feel they couldnt be executed with the same quality as cars. No doubt years down the line PD will release a bikes rehash of GT5.
I can´t see anything wrong with including bikes at some point, aslong as it´s not forced on anyone, would be an great addition imo, GT is whatever PD want it to be really.
The rabid hostility against the very idea of bikes appearing in GT5game really doesn't surprise me, even if I don't quite understand it.
It's not like you'll be forced to ride them, and if they were to be included I doubt very much that you would be able to mix them in proper races or online matches. The only time they may meet would be in a free drive / ride mode, if at all.
Given that TT was essentially GT4 with a few bikes instead of lots of cars, I can't see how bikes would compromise the car side of things in the game.
TT may have had limited appeal, but it did sell well enough to warrant a Platinum version, so I think there'd be more than enough people who would appreciate the inclusion of bikes in GT5. I would certainly rather have bikes and cars in the same game than have to buy both, which I would be less inclined to do. Why not kill two birds with the one stone?
As for not being able to play it with a steering wheel, are you guys for real?
