Motorcycles in the next installment?

Oh good a thread about motorbikes. Good idea. What's next? Planes, Boats, Trains or perhaps buses. GT is a CAR game. Want bikes? Buy a BIKE game.

TT2 would be fine with me as well. Until someone starts a thread asking for cars to be added. :)

Do you think we will get the Circuit de Valencia included in GT5 from Tourist Trophy? because it was the only track added after GT4.

I think TT2 will come out after GT5, either as a full blown title or DLC.

Robin.

[sarcasm]well i would not mind boats![sarcasm/]
:dopey:

only if they are speed boats!

I'm also hoping for the Valencia track from TT makes it into GT5.

I think Kaz said that bikes and cars would be in a future GT.

I personally wouldn't mind bikes in GT... as long as it wouldn't change the game into something it shouldn't be.
I don't recall him saying bikes would definitely end up in GT at some point, he did say he found the idea interesting and looked into it but he never said anything mroe than that. personally don't think we will see bikes in GT nor do I want that. I don't think we'll see them because PD would be damaging making more profit from a potential TT2 game and I don't want them because I don't want the GT series to change focus from a realistic car racing game to havin gcars racing against bikes. Very unrealistic. Besides the balance of the game would be heavilly in favour of the bikes in anything short of a supercar.

GT is GT. Tourist Trophy is Tourist Trophy. I mean I don't want to ride a bike to complete the game. GT Should stick to cars.

I personally don't think that there will be another Gran Turismo on the PS3, look how long its taken to get to this standard. I would love to see bikes in Gran Turismo, I don't think that adding bikes would spoil the game, in fact I think it would add to the franchise, which can only be a good thing!

it would ruin the game cuz motorcycles does need other psychs in the game

For all we know, they might be working on a TT2 already. I'm pretty sure they started on TT near the end of GT4's dev cycle.

The problem with bikes is that a "cheap" bike would DESTROY a car in the same price range. A bike like this http://powersports.honda.com/2009/cbr1000rr.aspx (13k MSRP)
Now, think of a car in that price range (10-15k) all I can think of is a Hyundai Accent, and that's not a pretty picture racing against that bike. Go up to 25-30k cars, and you might find something, but bikes would just kill the cars until F1.

Not only that, a bike would be easy to just knock off the track and cause little damage to the car.

I really don't want bikes in any Gran Turismo game, they don't belong in the series and I certainly don't want to drive them to complete the game. I hope PD does not add them to the game, Gran Turismo doesn't need bikes.

No, they wouldn´t. A motoGP cycle is about as fast around a track as a Corvette C5R. Any LMP2, LMP1, group C or SuperGT GT500 car will beat them, so lesser bikes won´t stand much chance against a car in the same type of class (think Yamaha R1 vs. Vette C6, or Ducati 999 vs. Ferrari F430 Scuderia etc).

If you however only intend to do quarter mile dragraces, the bikes will win.

No, I don't need for them to charge me for more content I'm not gonna use. If I buy GT, it's for the cars. Anything beyond that dilutes the brand.

While it might great to unite GT and TT(since I'm a car and motorcycle lover), in all honesty I rather GT and TT be their own seperate entity with their own personalities.
