Approximately 300 Miles of testing. It's fun to use a Beetle to take on the Schwarzwald League B high performance cars.

I love this car. It suffers from lowmaxspeed-itis probably due to the open top. I can take an 11 second lead 2/3 through the GTWC Nurburgring, then on the straight before the finish it nearly gets pulled in by the Ford GT. I think It could be an even better drift car.

I like the idea of this garage! I don't like to use the popular cars and I'm always looking for an underused car that can still compete decently well with other cars (especially online. I love when people say "Why is a Volvo beating me?" :dunce: ).

Like it's Mullet growing, cut-off shirt, stud-muffin owners throughout North America, this car has a bad attitude and lives to throw down black patches. If you plan on getting in the 'ring' with it, bring the vasoline and razors because it doesn't fight pretty or fair. The payouts are cheap, the brutality is obscene, and the performance is better off viewed from a safe distance than experienced first-hand. One more bonus from GM, that massive spoiler doesn't appear to create downforce, but acts more like an airfoil blade that helps with lift.

I love your choice of cars. I have all but the beetle, I think.

Wondered when someone would step up and tune the cars that are not at the top of everyones list. Will try out 1 or 2 of your tunes first thing tomorrow.

I do some of the same stuff too. Will also post some of my obscure tunes also

Why the heck not? Look at how many cars go without a single tune or even recognition. We could start 100 threads and not cover all the cars. Besides, if I don't get a review I'm going to assume these tunes are perfect.:D

Just tried the Camaro IROC-Z out and it isn't bad. No sign of it trying to spin out and felt very planted. I love the feel of the soft suspension. But, my only problem with it is the understeer. I had to make sure I was almost all the way out of the turn in order to hit the throttle.

Other than that, I liked it. I was able to pull off 7:05.342 at the Ring with it. Hope this review helped.

Whoa, great time. The default setting understeer is worse than the Viper's or Saleen S7 and I tried to strike the balance between understeer or the tires skipping across the tarmac. IROC-Z has very high torque and it just spits the rear end out at every opportunity. If you come up with improvements let me know. Anyways, thanks.

It still understeer a little, but it's a Viper, come on! Brake early, and often.

QUOTE=p-coletray;4711745]Welcome to Rosco's, tunes for chasing the good ol' boys, fast as you can, in a car that can't, shouldnt, and probably won't, but it will make a good chase scene when I'm done with it!

If things work out, your slightly unpopular car will be faster than other slightly unpopular cars. My tunes will be for less well known cars, probably pass you right on by at the UCD, and cars not known to be on the "awesome" list. I don't consider myself an A-list tuner, more like X-list.

I'm new at thread editing, so my thread will hopefully see an evolving look to it.

Feedback on the Tunes is appreciated. (700 views, and not 1 review?)

My outlook right now (Subject to change):

Volkswagon New Beetle RSi '00
Ford Taurus SHO '98
Dodge Viper GTS-R Concept '00
Plymouth Prowler '02
Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z Concept '88
Diahutsu Copen Detachable Top '02

I test on numerous tracks, depends on what I'm fixing. Nurburgring Nordschleife is my touchstone in a competitive series.

(never drive backwards in traffic with these massively awesome cars, it is bad for your car and may result in a horrific wreck)[/QUOTE]

Could you please post your Copen tune? I'm fairly new to GT5 and play primarily A-spec with some B-spec as I don't have a good internet connection (posting this with my cell phone  got my updates for GT5 by linking ps3 through cell phone )

Love the Copen as the idea of a 200hp micro car blowing the doors off "real" cars is great. Mine is max moded but I feel it could use some help cornering. Not bad per say the way I have it with racing softs and suspension dropped all the way just want to get that last little bit out of it.

Also you might think of doing a tune on BE Golf 1 GTI '76. Super cheap sleeper car in the UCD that let's you clean up several series when moded.

I'm pretty new to GT5 and play mostly A-spec, with some B-spec for grinding. Don't play online as I don't have a good internet connection (updated my GT5 and posting this with my cell phone  )

Love my max moded Copen as the idea of a 200+HP micro-car blowing the doors off "real" cars is great, sort of like the tacos bell chiwawa taking down a pit bull :sly:

Using race soft and max suspension drop isn't bad but want to get the most out of it through the corners.

Also have you thought about doing a tune for the VW Golf 1 GTI '76? Another cheap car in the UCD that can really clean up a lot of series.:)

Sorry about the double post...frigin cell phone :banghead:

Thanks will give the setup a try on the ring in a little bit and see how it works.

My UCD has been real nice to me today so I'm having lots of fun with oddball cars right now.

Got a superbird, an a110 1600s, GT350r, charger super bee 426 hemi, beetle 1100 standard(type 11) '49, pair of SRT4's (had a neon sport irl, lusted after the SRT4, 600+ HP and 200 mph in an ff whee  will keep one stock), and just found a Karmann Ghia coupe (Type-1) '68 :P

By the way was able to get online in the game long enough to run the muscle car seasonal. Farm daytona in a max modified 427 cobra. Right at 4 minutes per race and got the trophy for keeping lap times consistent, human stopwatch or something like that. Any ideas for a faster car to do that with?

Tuned a taurus..woohooo.I own 1 in real life,Australian export V6 though :(
im Tryin the Prowler tune,....dont need a mirror for this car, just turn if you want to look behind.

Me too, I don't know if yours is any different than the American version, but mine is pretty tight car. Laugh if you want, some of the Tauri are pretty sweet to drive, though they weren't always very pretty. I especilly don't like the bubbly model they put in the game.

They last forever not to mention. Mine has 125,000 perfect miles, my wife's parents was 300,000 miles before they sold it, and it still ran fine.

Distraught over the lack of a good Scudiera tune, and my greedy desire to grind on La Sarthe, I began work on the SuperSonic Scudiera. So I put on the GLOVE, made it SMOOTH, now it will REIGN down consistent wins with traffic, not cutting the Chicanes, and still have a good time, making money, grinding seasonal La Sarthe. Oh yeah, SCREW YOU DAVID STERN! The Sonics Shall rise again!
