After much deliberating, I decided to change my shot, stuck with the b&w theme though :) Also, does anybody else think the wing mirrors on this car just don't look right?

The mirrors do look like they stick out a bit more than they need to, but for me the tail lights are the most distracting part of the car. Every time I see them I think of that sloth from the movie Ice Age!

Agreed on both points, however, for me it's the character lines on the flanks. They look soooo forced. They resolve poorly and it makes me think they were trying to hide something; that proportionately something was off so they tried to use those aggressive, strangely placed belt and character lines as if to try and make it some modernist interpretation of a coke bottle shape. All in all the only part of it that really flies are those headlight inlets. Other than that I really could do without any of the styling.
 
There's a Ford GT I pass on the way to work all summer long. I've stopped to drool and seen the parts bin components sitting under the show off glass and I still just cannot take my eyes off of it. It's such a timeless design. I just cannot see the 458 being as loved in 10 years. It's finicky.

But the rear mirrors really are a bad designed part in this game. Not just on the 458. On pretty much every car they look like they got sticked on the model in the last second.
I really struggle with pics sometimes because the mirrors look so fake.....

All of these weeks competition entries have been great so congratulations to the people that made the themes. I don't think I will even make 1 poll this week because of the amazing job everyone has done.
 
haha, yeah the pic does look good. is that the warm filter i see? It's not as obvious as it sometimes is. Did you also tweak the exposure?

Thanks! It is indeed the warm filter and I tweaked the exposure. I used the High Speed Ring "weather conditions" track in practice mode and this was an extremely sunny day with a bright sun and bright blue skies. With the exposure on standard setting, the bridge was looking like it was on fire. Very bright. So I had to put the exposure down and at that point the corners of the photo where getting dark. That's what gives the photo this effect.
