Thanks Jerome! May I recommend Elise 111R RMs on Racing Hards, with an LSD? No other performance pieces. 214hp/720kg.

I'm going to post the race specifics tonight. I sure hope that everything we need out of PSN is up and running come OMRS time :nervous: If not, we will race on May 14th instead.

EDIT: I'm not holding my breath for this weekend now and won't be putting up any details until we get more info as to when PSN will reliably be online again: http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/02/sony-woes-continue-as-soe-confirms-data-breach/

I have confidence that PSN will be up and running this week. The latest attack was in a different sector and shouldn't affect the network. Personally I dont mind if they take another week or two, I really do feel sorry for Sony at this point.

It says that full service will be back by may 31st, but online gaming is probably a priority so maybe that it will be back sooner.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the next event. 👍

It looks like I'm going to have a problem running in OMRS, and I really doubt that I'm going to be the only one. It seems that I'm not going to be able to get online with my GTP account since I used a fake email when I created it.

So far I haven't found a solution, I'm going to try calling Sony support tomorrow to see if I can make it work. I have 6 accounts in all; my main account, my GTP, my wifes, and 3 for the kids; the only ones I can get online with are my main and my wifes. I set the GTP account and the kids accounts up with fake emails (my kids don't have email addys anyway).
 
My GTP_ sub account is waiting to change password; hope it comes soon!

Update: May 17th - Finally; I am in 👍:)

I think the talk was for June now as May almost over; and maybe not eveyone has their PSN GTP_ accounts up and running (mine took over 3 days!)

Because of all the recent events to Sony, there won't be a May event. But in two weeks we will have the June event 👍

I haven't found anything regarding how when or where to "sign up", for this. It sounds pretty neat, so I'm very interested in it.

You are in the GTP Registry, so all you have to do now is just attend the next one the first weekend of June :)

I guess I'll have to do some practice racing online to get more used to racing around others, even if it's still flooded with a-holes. :lol:

EDIT: GMT -8 is what I saw once, but month 2 said GMT -7... Either way, being in the US, am I correct to assume the time will be listed in Pacific time?

That is correct we are now GMT -7 PDT technically :) The next race specs will be listed in GMT -7

I anticipated a little more notice with the combo once we were in the clear with regards to PSN. Have you decided to postpone the race for a weekend or two?

Would love to get my hands on the new car and get practicing! :)

Yes I was hoping to get the race specs posted over the weekend, but some family from Cali. decided to drive up and visit so I was occupied. But I'll get the specs posted tonight 👍

Is this league ever going to play off the WRS combos? I'm waiting to see an online event that takes off where a given weeks combo leaves off and is then used for one of your leagues races.

I dont mean to sound disrespectful, but is this forum meant to be the best GTP sactioned racing that GTplanet!!! can provide!?


I run a race series myself that offers people the chance to get on track once a week, every week. I am one man. I work full time, have an active social life and a nagging girlfriend.

GTP has how many members in its arsenal?.. Surely!, hosts and event organisers can be tripled, quadrupled, exponentially multiplied in order to bring us the OWRS. If not the ODRS!!


Once again I mean no disrespect, but as a race series hosted by GTP, it is not reaching its full potential. I only wish to see it do better.
 
I totally understand your concerns Roh, but for the thousands that are on this forum less than 10 showed interest in assisting to organize. Granted those that did are very dedicated. But I will say that there may be some changes to the OMRS in the somewhat near future 👍

With this weekend being a holiday weekend (4th of July and I will be out of town), it won't be an OMRS weekend. Look for the next race to be July 9th.

As usual Jerome, thank you for the quick and concise response.

I greatly appreciate the work you do and I know from experience one man can only do so much.

Its a shame you and the OMRS are not getting the support it deserves, as proven in the WRS is just what can be achieved when members are more active and supportive.
