Okay, so after cleaning up my gift box of everything except cars, I have...

A Lotus Europa from kingmoshoeshoe2.
Onboy's AE86.
An M3 CSL from Onboy.
ImprezaAddict's M3 CSL.
And priestly_lfc's Focus RS.

So if there's anything missing there from anyone who's sent me a car, I'm sorry but PSN ate your car. The hackers will lose their gentleman's sausages for this.

Also, if I've accepted a request of yours but you havent sent the car yet, send it as soon as you can. If you've made a request in the thread instead of PM'ing me, please go fish it out and PM it to me. It saves me going through all these pages looking for a single post.

Thank you. :)

oi, you still haven't done the XJ13 -.- so if you have time, give it a go, cuz that's been waiting for ages and it's starting to rust.

PM me the details so it's easier for me to find. 👍

I made a request, but the car can only be 'borrowed'.
GTP Name: machate-man
PSN Name: dowby
Your Car: Pagani Zonda R
Sending Your Own Car? Sending Via borrowing

Tuning Request: I want to be able to push the limits of the car to the max, while being able to recover from a mistake easily(basically, add more grip) The car also needs to keep the dwnforce at max, and the power at max as well.

One last thing: call it Vlad the Impailer
Perhaps that could be the essence of the car...

REVIEW: Camaro Deathscythe

When I saw this pop up in the RKM tuning thread I had to go look. Back in 2001, Cartoon Network began airing episodes of Gundam Wing in the US and that became my stepping stone into the world of Gundam and anime in general. And of course Deathscythe was my favorite of the mobile suits in the show (well, Deathscythe Hell really but close enough for our purposes here). The Camaro, on the other hand, not so much a favorite of mine. I was disappointed when GM killed off the Camaro/Firebird and was looking forward to its return. The retro style is OK but it lacks finishing and a cohesive character. So let's see which side of the fence we land on with this tune.

In stock trim the car is actually not bad. Despite looking slapped together on the real roads it is suitably quick with some actual agility. It will turn very nicely if you keep it with the limit. Step past that and you will find the muscle car within. True to its American heritage it will light up the rear tires given an excuse, especially in the higher RPM range. The four-speed gearbox was also a killer. On something modern as this is you'd expect at least a five-speed. Retro is fine but only for aesthetics, not technology. All said and done I was able to lap GVS in a respectable 2'12.380".

Since this tune is a race mod car I am adding in the extra step of testing the RM version. I went straight to GT Auto after the stock test and bought only the race modification, no parts. I did go through the list of parts and from what I was able to see this includes aero, weight reduction, race exhaust, custom trans, twin plate clutch, semi-racing flywheel, driveshaft and custom suspension. Looking over that list I expect that it will handle much differently. And that is exactly right. While it did not necessarily feel any faster the handling has improved and feels easier to control letting you carry more speed through the corners. The steering feels crisp but without being twitchy. The downside here is that none of the changes have really helped to keep the rear in line. However the time at the line changes significantly down to 2'04.448".

The parts mod will make your head spin. True to its namesake this car is stupidly fast! The pace is almost unbelievable, especially given the feel during the lap. It still has a tendency to spin the rear tires and with this power it is nigh unforgiving. If you mess up you will eat wall. Catch a few blades of grass? Hit the rumbles the wrong way? Sneeze? You'll be staring back from whence you came or perhaps get a nice view of everything around you once or twice. Recovery is extremely difficult from all but the most minor of mistakes. Coming up the hill through the first esses I took the right a little too fast and was too far left to make a decent line through the left at the top. Tried to slow to avoid shooting into the wall, hit the rumbles and lost the back end. I spun from the top of the hill down to and through the second hairpin and several feet into the kitty litter beyond. I wish I had thought to take a picture of the pattern the tires made as they smoked all the way down the hill...it was quite artsy. The next lap felt better and I was able to avoid ending up off the track. I expected it to break two minutes but not by as much as it did; it hadn't felt that fast with all the corrections I had to make coming out of the corners. I ended at a best of 1'54.506" shattering the lap records of everything I had driven at GVS previously. And I haven't even played with settings yet!

Tweaking the settings to Roj's specs tightened the car considerably. There is now more of a feeling of control even if you don't necessarily have any. Recovering from mistakes is possible but only just. Deathscythe will still chew you up and spit you out, just now it takes a second to mull it over. If you catch it quick enough you can survive. That power oversteer is still hanging around but with a car like this it will probably never go away nor should it really as that is part of its character. Fast is another part. The time has gone down another chunk to 1'52.399", a 20 second drop from stock. Not bad.

The Camaro has been redeemed a bit for me and the name certainly fits well. This car has earned itself a little yellow star in my collection.

An hour? It takes me like 1 and a half to do one and the quality is no better and sometimes worse! God, I feel like the slowest person in the world right now…And as for the commitment to school, that's compulsory because not everybody is over 14 -.- Still got two hours left, then I'm free!!! :D

Are you on holiday or something? How comes you can have time to review cars during the week day?

Was that directed at me?

I do the hands on portion whenever I can get the time. Generally takes me an hour of playing with the cars, another 15 or so for photos and maybe 30ish to get my thoughts typed out. The writing I do at night after my kids go to sleep. The whole process I usually do over two or more days. In fact, the RS6 I just did was driven a few weeks ago and I didn't get around to typing up until this weekend. :dunce:

Ok, since I don't have much time on my hands, this review may be a little shorter than my previous few, but anyways:

Amuse 380RS review:

Before

It’s a very good starting point, this. But nothing more. It’s got a lot of flaws for you to fix as well. It has a very bad habit of being too edgy when the rear tires let go, the steering is very sensitive for such a big car, it’s always hitting the redline when the back end gets playful, and downforce doesn’t seem to help glue it to the ground. Oh, and the brakes have no intention to forgive you if you brake late and hard, it’ll snap around and kill you with catastrophic understeer without any regret or remorse. So, an attitude like that of a race car. And all those wings and bits and pieces certainly make it look like one. It makes you think ‘Wow! This car is going to be a race ready road car!’ But when you drive it, it never really delivers as much as you think it will. For a start, it just doesn’t feel like it has 522hp, in fact, it feels like there’s a load of bricks in the boot, weighing it down and slowing its responses. It’s a let down in the corners as well. The wings and fins all suggest grip, as does the massive tires. But it doesn’t grip, but rather slip and slide like it’s on ice. The steering’s good, it’s quick and responsive, but when you have this much power and so little grip, lightening reflexes with the steering is only going to do so much. And with a 1:14.131 being its fastest lap, it’s not that much quicker than RJ’s RX-7. Which had 200hp less and less downforce.

After

Well, if there’s one thing I’ve learnt about it, is that it’s a car that likes wild oversteer and is a bit of a wild animal and no amount of tuning will change that. What this tune does is simply rein it in a bit, make it just that little be more usable for those of us who aren’t Ayrton Senna. It’s still unforgiving if you take a corner at higher-than-usual speeds, but it’s less mental when you get things right. The brakes feel a more remote than before, the car’s still a bit snatchy when you apply too much lock when it oversteers. But then the art of oversteer is a delicate one, so a car will always bite back if you get the steering angle wrong. I’m also not too sure of the gearing, (mind you I know nothing on this subject except for maximum acceleration push the top speed bar all the way left and for top speed go all the way right) it’s just too easy to hit the redline but I don’t feel like the car’s going fast enough to go into second. Which is also bad news for my hooligan side, because what I normally do is floor it in first with full lock in whichever direction I want to go, take it into second with full power and start doing a few (or a lot, depending on my mood) donuts. But in this, it wan’t possible. I would do the first step, but when I go into second, it just dies. But still, who cares that I can’t be stupid in this car, when this thing’s laptime is so good. It did a lap of 1:11.779, 3 seconds faster. But it’s sort of worrying considering that an NSX is just slightly slower than this, despite the power difference. It’s not a slow time though, not by any means, just not as fast as it should be. Kind of sums up the car, really.

Laptimes: (tested on TGTT)
1:14.131

Oops, don't ever tell that to Shye. Her 380RS is still at RKM for some tuning. :P

I will…cuz you ****ed up my eyes with your 24 caret gold R34 -.- What game was that picture taken from, anyways? Wangan Midnight? Midnight Club?

Edit: Roj, you better make it…well…better!! Or else you'd have a rich ass girl after you, and I'll be after you as well for painting it in such a stupid colour (Stupid colour, not bad, stupid)

Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 3DX+. So, you want Shye to tell Roj to repaint it in Giallo Orion? Or Giallo Modena? Or Matte Yellow? Or Matte Pink? :P

You're just picking colours from Lamborghini (Aside from the Matter yellow and pink) and they are all, all, yellow!!! But I actually don't mind that shade, it's just the yellowy green mess that Roj painted the CR-Z in that burns a mark in my eyes.

I made a request, but the car can only be 'borrowed'.

REVIEW: Camaro Deathscythe
I watched Gundam Wing on Cartoon Network too! Or was it Toonami? Still Cartoon Network anyway.👍

Thanks for the review! Deathscythe is fast, isnt it? :sly: It smashes every sports soft record I have and scares a few racing soft cars too. There's little that can be done about the unforgiving nature, but as you saw, it's possible to gain some kind of control over it and smash a few laptimes. :D 20 seconds faster than stock? Oh my. :ill:
Ok, since I don't have much time on my hands, this review may be a little shorter than my previous few, but anyways:

Thanks for the review! Bringing it back down to 430bhp would fix the oversteer, just saying. :P With 522bhp it can compete with the NSX-R, but then that's not saying much because it's got 522bhp and lots of downforce. It's just because it's a Z really. They dont seem as quick as NSX's or RX-7's. I already knew it wouldnt take down the 370Z GT Academy but I still stuck with a 556PP tune just so it was on level terms with the NSX and RX-7 to see how close it could get to them. But anyway, thanks for the review!
Oops, don't ever tell that to Shye. Her 380RS is still at RKM for some tuning. :P
It's up on ramp 3 getting the new suspension and brake settings. 👍

Explain how having a rich girl after me is bad? :dopey:

The green came from the Red Bull photomode area. :P The car is pure yellow! :P

She's a ditsy girl to say the least, so expect some (sort of) madness when she meets you. :P

Passionate Pink! :sly:

Shye contacted you again about that color, said she also got a bucket of that paint while purchasing her LF-A way back. 👍

Problem, pink car haters?

Because, rich girl = spoilt girl = stuck up b**** when pissed off. And she will be pissed off the way it is now.

But her LF-A was also pink, as I've said earlier.

But yeah, there can be times when she would be a 🤬. Just tie her up and gag her with something large then she'll shut up. :P

Sounds hot.

The paint booth is free all afternoon, so it can be arranged. :D

If it turns out better, post it as a revised setup eh? And what's the payment? ^^
Ok I'm joking (If you knew what I was on about in the first place), it's just become a bad habit from school…
Still, at least you've stopped with your post tune when Onboy is sleeping thing and RJ stopped with the My little Pony thing or wtv it was.

Well, you have 2 weeks to complete tuning the 380RS for her. But I think that would leave you with even more time to relax and attend your other customers. 👍

After her meetup, she'll call you again.

There's a difference between revised setups and tweaks for certain customers. :P And payment? You're supposed to pay me, so I want 5 pink paintchips. :sly:

It's only stopped because there's been no new tunes. I take it you're not a Brony? :P

Oh my. :embarrassed:

I don't even know what My Little Pony is until RJ mentioned it…and I'm guessing you didn't understand what I meant by 'payment'…but 5 pink paintchips is a lot -.- better than 5 cars I guess…

Just search "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" into Youtube and enjoy. :P I understand payment as you pay me. :P And yeah, but no "Deep Pink", that's not nice. :yuck:

uMadson?

I have an academy GT-R painted this color. Came like that in a trade. It is actually not nad but does make my eyes bleed from time to time when I pass it in the garage.

Sort of reminds me of an M3 done by a Japanese tuner. They use bright/pastel colors for all of their cars. Let's hope Roj doesn't get any ideas... :odd:

It's nothing stupid right? No cheesy, huggy kissy nonsense right? And Shouldn't it be uMadson? who's paying you? After all, it's his girl who's asking for it! And is PSN down in the UK? I can't check, mum came back…

Chances are, he will, and I won't be able to go to school for a while without being slightly blinded by some bmw painted in a 'gay and friendly' livery.

To be honest, Shye belongs to this guy. I just brought her here. :P

EDIT: Whoops. Did I leak bigtime? Anyways, all credits goes to him.

Well, as you said, you bought her here so you pay for her expense during her stay :D Chances are, your wallet and garage is going to take a bit of a spanking…
