Skunky's Workshop... DMC Delorean and Ford Ka update

This is my tune for the Infiniti Coupe Concept '06. This is a very pretty car IMO and now has the go to match the looks. Whilst never going to be the fastest, this car is a very easy drive. Its still nimble enough to cope around the bumpy twisty stuff but also holds grip well mid corner and is about the easiest car I've driven in the game to catch/ drift if you manage to push the limits too far. A fast beginner FR sports car.

This is my tune for the Citroen Xantia V6 Exclusive '00. Another unlikely car from Skunky's workshop. Plenty of grip and a surprising level of corner exit traction. Good turn in and a nice sound. A pretty cool sleeper or general online hack.

This is my tune for the BMW M Coupe '98 (Z3). This car turns in well and has great grip. Is great to drive on sports and racing tyres and is a really easy to catch/ slide car. Really good balance, I like to use this car in pp limited races to great effect. Had a wing and it doesnt really need it and it looks stupid so its been removed. Hope you enjoy.

This is my tune for the Toyota Aristo V300 Vertex Edition '00. This one was a real surprise to me. Thought I would tune it to see what happens after seeing it in the UCD and having a vague memory of a stupidly tuned Lexus / Toyota I had in gt4. Wow is all I can say, what a car. Pulls like a train almost anywhere in the rev range, produces max torque about halfway through the revs and can put it all on the floor. On sports a little caution is required (...600+bhp) but on racing tyres this is a monster. I recommend this tune... Great fun.

Just working on a Lotus Carlton tune to put in this space but is proving to be tricky. Hopefully up later today.

Reviews of any of my tunes would be great.

This my tune for the Mini Cooper 1.3l '98. A great little car, really chuckable with a surprising turn of speed. A good car for the twisty tracks or limited pp online races.

This is my tune for the Mazda Autozam AZ-1 '92. Another little wonder. Feels really sorted and will grip round anything. Obviously not the fastest but a genuinely fun to drive tune of the little Autozam. But has a horrible torque/power curve.

This is my (attempted) tune for the Honda City Turbo II '83. This is just nuts. Have been struggling with a tune for this little mentalist for awhile and am not sure its completely sorted yet so feedback would be appreciated. This is a pretty good setup though eliminating alot of the monstrous understeer. I believe the car is handicapped unfairly in the pp races.

Great tune but it only works offline. If you don't mind making an online tune, I would really appreciated. Thanks

Hopefully have a Caldina gt four tune up here shortly. It's pretty good so far... Should be good for late 6's at the ring. Watch this space :)

Nice! I've got it modded already like many of the your previous tunes, but since there's no tune for the Caldina on GTP (and since I'm not really into tuning myself), the car has not really been used a lot. I know it has potential though, so glad you're tuning it.

On a side note, your Monaro is kinda underpowered, mine has 742 bhp and 604 pp (with spoiler). I'd give yours an engine repair and perhaps an oil change if it was mine.
Your choice of cars is among the best of the GTP tuners' imo, and your tunes are as well, so keep up the good work 👍

Sorry mate I've just had a baby so limited on time but I'll Defo have the tune up tomorrow. It's ready to post now.

Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad that you liked the choice of cars. Thanks also for the info on the monaro, I have no wing so I lose a few pp but I'll check my
Tune again to make sure I'll all kitted up, oil changed and engine rebuilt.

This is my tune for the Toyota Caldina GT-Four '02. This car really surprised me. I had no idea it would end up so well when I started but this is a properly quick car. This was tuned at a variety of tracks and I believe this car will run into the late 6's at the ring (racing tyres). It is a little stiff for the ring but still runs well, I just cant get a full attack lap in without crashing at some point or another but I didnt want to modify the tune for the ring. I hope you enjoy driving this one as much as I enjoyed tuning it, good fun :).

This is my tune for the Ford Ka '01. One of my favorites for 450pp limited racing and a real joy to drive. On sports this is great through all but the tightest of turns and you can just stamp on the throttle and watch it grip and go with minimal understeer. I imagine on racing tyres that you would find it almost impossible to lose grip (without provocation) but those tyres are just not needed.

Hey, before I had posted my tune I had asked Leonidae@MFT at Mad FinnTuners Co.™ for a tune for the Honda City Turbo II '83. After a little while he gladly obliged and proceeded to not only tune the car for me but also sent the fully tuned car over to me. :) After discussing I have decided to post his tune up for others to enjoy. There are alot of differences in the tunes and I feel that mine is better suited to my driving style. I had a compare session today (autumn ring mini, sport softs) between the two and although I was expecting my tune to be alot faster after driving them both, in reality (sort of :)) the lap times set proved to be very similar with my tune being the faster (suits my style) by less than 0.2 of a second.

Two very different tunes.

Here is my Honda City Turbo II '83 tune.
Here is the tune.

Ok... Working on a Delorean S2 tune. I think with work it'll be good but the car tuned with stock settings is spectacularly bad so may be working on this one for a bit. Getting good lap times around trial mountain but inconsistently and with difficulty... spending alot of time in the wall or facing the wrong way.... It'll get there.

Aye, do you think the Aristo tune still work well with a wing on? Or should I remove it for now as recommended?

This thread is GOLD!

We need more tuners tuning the odd cars. Or even the cars that don't already have solid tunes!

Odd cars? If you want odd, you should check our GT4 thread. We even tuned the Copen and Mitsu i.. And the Mitsu tried it's best to be a drifter.

:) Glad you like them mate. I always try to find a car with no tunes to post up although they are getting fewer every day.

I have tried it with a wing before and it drives well but it just looks terrible (same with almost every standard) and I choose not to have them. Cant see you having a problem though so go for it.

Ooh love the Caldina! Bookmarked to try later.

Great, let me know what you think. :)

Well, tried both your tune and the plain, modded version (with tranny set to 320 km/h) at the ring, and with the untuned version of the car I managed a clean 6:56.0xx time on the first full lap. Then i tried your tune, and I can confirm that it's not the best place for this setup, unfortunately.
To stiff for the many bumps and kerbs.
Like yourself, I did not even make a clean, full lap, but mainly because I wanted to beat the stock ghost. Pushed to hard, which made me crash several times. Best attempt I was 2.5 sec ahead of the non-tuned car on the second to last straight.
Just wanted to let you know that it's not just you having a hard time with it on that track. :guilty:

Despite this, the tune is an utter joy at most other courses, since the cars' 'wobbling' is all gone. 👍

Also, if your short on ideas for your upcoming tunes, I've got several suggestions for cars that have more than enough power, but lack in drivability. :sly:

Yeh I'm not surprised you struggled with it, its just far too stiff, the untuned one is much softer and I'm not surprised it ran a clean lap first time, that almost feels impossible with my tune as is, it is still fun to drive though and I like a challenge so may have a tuning session with it to see what I can get with a more suitable tune. I'm glad you liked the tune elsewhere, I think it feels great.

Well, you DID warn us about taking the car there, but I guess that's what made me do it in the end. :sly:
Would love to see a more ring-friendly tune in the future if you're up for it though, sub seven minutes is not bad at all for a car like this. Would be great fun online.

Updated the Ford Ka tune. I recieved a PM from EivlEvo saying the tune he had been using (@ Eiger Nordwand, Offline, Dry) is an old Deutsch Rennen tune published for the VW Golf I and I've found it to be much better than yours in my situation.

I had a look at both tunes and tested around autumn ring and he was absolutely right. He was using the tunes at 350pp but I tested at 450pp.

I initially just took on the other tunes lsd settings thinking that, on paper the tunes were not that far apart barring lsd and toe settings. I did a few laps but the could only really see a couple of tenths difference (easily driver error). I then chucked on the full tune (my trans settings for 450pp) and was immediately a full second faster (I was also getting better at autumn ring but a full second!). There were a few things that didnt work for me especially the rear ride height made the car very bouncy over kerbs, so I had a tweak and grabbed another half second on the tune and have updated the settings on the Ka already. Thanks to EivlEvo for helping me out.

Ok my copy and paste treatment doesn't make much sense but I'm sure you all understand. :)
