The Last Son
The last Celica, and it's FWD only. This fact depressed the garage quite a bit, with the legends of the rally behind Toyota, and the Supra killed off. Was this FWD really to be Toyota's last true sports cars? When we got the car though, we were surprised a bit. With it's light body, and 180+HP this car could **** and get very well. Yes it understeered, but not nearly as bad as some others (Corrola Levin BZ-R). The Celica was pretty trim, so Trivial opened the hood and got to work. We changed the internals to accommodate the Lotus designed Supercharger, and freed up both the intake and exhaust, boosting the power up to 274HP. The we took a look at the suspension. While this car will never be as sharp as it's TRD tuned sisters, it will still give all other cars in the 450PP class something to think about. With minimal understeer, the car goes were you want it to, but it gives you a sluggish feel, while at the same time breaking lap records. This car is defiantly a sleeper to your senses, and to other racers as well.

Celica TT-R

Like the Spoons or Mugen tunes for Honda, Toyota has the Toyota Racing Development to tune up their sportier cars (and in recent years, their trucks too). But with out any real power improvement over stock we at Trivial were wondering if TRD really did all they could with this already quick car. Trivial stripped all unneeded weight, getting this FWD beast down to 970KGs. We then took a look at the engine, which had many upgrade options, being the same engine used in the Lotus Elise. Using Lotus parts, and an after market turbo, we boosted the power to 320HP, around 130HP over stock. And after all this we took a look at the TRD tuned suspension, which was good from the start, but we made is sharper and tighter, without it trying to kill you. Over all this is the fastest FWD cars in it's PP range, able to beat many cars with higher power. Trivial is calling this car the TT-R, as a play on the TRD badge, but it stands for Twin Turbo Race, instead of the usual moniker.

Helga The Honey Badger
Because PD didn't put my car in the game (Camry Wagon) I had to find a replacement. The Lexus kept it in the family and gave me rear wheel drive, so I took it. At first this car was bad, and I mean really bad. It's long wheel base meant it understeered with no real chance of kicking the back end out. This clearly wouldn't do so Trivial Tunes striped it of it's weight, tuned up the engine and went bonkers with the suspension. Now this car will handles like it should living up to it's IS badge. I dub this car Helga the Honey Badger, which is what I call my car IRL. One word of advice, never try to take something from a Honey Badger, they can survive a bite from the Puff Adder and still go on to own anything it feels like.

Yamato
Named after the largest Japanese warship, this car is huge. While not as big as heavy as some of it's competition it brings plenty of punch. I've only got four words. Throttle Control, bring tires. Having this much power and sports soft (not to mention this weight) really wears on the tires. Have fun with this legend and don't let the allies sink her again. Remember to do a full engine rebuild and oil change.
 
Hey just been reading all of your posts and they all sound interesting kinda makes me want to go back on to my game, But I have got a car witch is causing me a few problems. It is my Supra 2.5 Twin Turbo I'm trying to tune it up to 500pp, So far it at 498pp pushing out 437hp I think (It late here and I forgot to write out my stats) but I have lost the swing witch it used to have.

The only thing I don't do to my cars is weight reduction because I want them to be like street racing cars and not full racing cars.

I also have a Holden SS Commodore(I think it is spelled write) which I am doing up so any pointers there will be awesome Thanks :)
 
While I don't have a Commodore I do have 3 or 4 of those Supras, all stock. I'll see what I can do with one of them for ya, and get back to you ASAP.

The main reason behind the Holden is my friend has one (it a R8 Manual which is cool) and since I wont be able to have in real life like him I might as well have the next best thing. His is pushing 311kw which I think is around the 420hp mark so that is the limit
 
What tires do you want to run? I did all bolt on parts and got a beautiful power band, along with believable parts list. The only far fetched thing on the list is the High RPM unit.

i can send you one , it is fully tuned and comes with chasis reinforcement if you're intrested , if yuo want a stock one maybe i'll come accross one during my ucd hunt ... its up to you :sly:

I've nearly got the Supra done, and I'm really surprised. It's on Sports Softs but can a lot of fun on Comfort Softs :lol:
 
I'll have your Supra posted tomorrow. Sorry for the wait, but the extra research has told me that the set up transfers perfectly to a similarly modified Turbo A. HP and Torque curves are way different, but everything else is the same, and I was able to keep the stock wing, so no picnic table on these ones!

El Supracabra
Not nearly as evil as the name suggest, this car is the last go for the 3rd Gen Supra. With a more powerful (at stock) engine then the previous 3rd Gens, this car would have been remembered as a monster if the Gen 4 hadn't come out with the 2JZ. Thats the story with the 1JZ, it's largely forgotten with the 2JZ looming in the near future. Even so this car is a monster. With the lower cc count, it's better in the corners at a decent power. Trivial wanted a car that could be concidered duable in the street, so only parts that tuners could use on the street made it on the car. Even though it's not a full on race monster, this car will scare many at 500pp.

it's went from the 3S-GTE which produced 251hp in the Celica GT-FOUR to the 1MZ-Fe, which only makes 130hp.
i'm not trying to be rude, but i felt the need to correct this. the zzw30 (Toyota MR-S) is powered by the 1ZZ-FE engine, not the 1MZ-FE, which is the 3.0L V6 engine found in many camrys, avalons, siennas, and ES series lexuses (lexii?). that said, i'm really enjoying the tune :)

Opps! Thanks for catching that!:dunce: I have seen one on the interweb with a swap though... I think it had the 3VZFE in the middle though. That would be a sick car. In the note of the 1MZ, have you heard of Tony the Tigers (screen ne, unsure of actual name) Camry? Last I knew it was up around 725hp from a 1MZ!

I do wonder what the correct plural for Leuxus is.

My apologies for bumping an old thread, but I'd like to offer another tune of the Hachi-Roku.
I did some laps on Deep Forest and Trial mountain with this to compare it to oopssorryy's tune and got 1:25,988 respectively 1:38,261 on them. I used a G25 with clutch and the engine was in need of some new oil when I set the Trial Mountain time, so faster laps are possible.

It still kinda understeers in the corners, but if you get the line right, you should be able to get round Trial Mountain in under 1:38 and round the Nordschleife in under 7:50 (maybe even less). Maybe it's better when the anti-roll bars are setup a little less stiff and if I tweak the dampers a little more, but I've already put many hours into tuning this understeering car and for now, I'm done with it.
