How about an Civic Type R EK9 Race Mod event, where the cars must be stock (i.e. no other modifications than the ones that the car comes with, e.g. racing suspension, racing exhaust etc.)?

Sounds fun but everyone would need to have a car for that. At least with recommended cars everyone can pick them. I'll look into it all though this week.

Support series would be good if it was a car from the recommended list, Golf GTi? It should be before 7 though and ideally contain ToCA drivers but mostly people who couldn't get in for season 3.

7 is the one time I can be on schedule for, I'm often not home till around 6pm and I have essentials of a drivers life like food to have . At least it fills the room, no setting a hot lap and waiting 40 minutes for the start. I'm going to put up a vote for a support race series now.

EDIT: Poll up.

Hard to choose one of the series. They all sound so cool. I will go with the Megane Trophy Series. Ive had a few races with the Meganes in rFactor and they were so much fun. Dont know if its the same in GT5, but i do have a feeling that they are. :D

For the people who have revealed their times, how much milagr have you done? I'm only slightly less then 30 miles at the moment. Just curious.

Errrr. Whoops, didn't mean to double post there. Sorry.

I'm hoping to be mid-grid this season, although with the first test win who knows what could happen!

Oh and just for the record my best time in the BMW with a stock setup is 0:59.8 👍

The fastest seem to be Tombrooks and DiegoC, who, with all due respect, are not frontrunners this year. Battling with another driver seems to slow you down quite a bit in these cars as well. I was 6 seconds behind the lead at Autumn Ring which was Boyce and DK battling, but I got it down to 2 seconds. It's probably due to the fact the cars are bigger.

Haha, i'm slower than a slow thing in the Mazda, me and 4WD don't agree :(

Infiniti has one quirk... no turbo. So whilst it lacks the boost of other cars, it isn't quite as torquey either... but no turbo lag and less torque mean a more controllable car than the BMW...

Shall we go 'n do more 'test races' right after the Season 2 finale? If we can get even more people together at the late evening, it'll probably turn out quite nice.

We'll have alook. Maybe it'll be a bit late though. Hoepfully I can sort out my NAT 3 connection for Season 3...

Correct me if i'm wrong but the BMW has no turbo either.

Are we having a championship between the two seasons or are we getting away soon?:)

I got a few pictures from our Autumn Ring race.

All the cars waiting for the lights. They look much better then last year.

All cars safely through turn 1 and sticking to each other.

DK, RP and Carbonox in the carousel turn.

Tombrooks runs wide and I take advantage to overtake him.

And he drifts through the rest of the corner

Tombrooks getting on the high kurbs

granturismo5007-2.jpg

Tombrooks entertaining once more with this drift. He reminds me of Kobayashi.

granturismo5008-2.jpg

And then myself using those high kurbs with the best looking car on the grid. :D

👍 I agree. Just needs a bit more tuning.

Driftking, who has since changed colours to Black with Lime Green rims.

Season 3 News:

The following tracks are being considered for removal in Season 3:
Nurburgring 24H OR Nurburgring GP/D

The following are considering being placed in Season 3:
High Speed Ring
Grand Valley East
Cape Ring Inside

Grand Valley East is a must and so are the others but you can drop both Nurbs as they are not great for touring cars.
