Tuners notes: This all started because I was looking for a 550pp street car that could go around the ring in under 7 minutes. After trying various cars I realized I was going to need some serious top end. I have had this car sitting in my garage for months, and thought I would give it a try. And to make a long story short, here we are. I am using a DS3, sensitivity MAX, ABS 1. No other assist used.

Disclaimer: This tune requires excellent throttle control, smooth braking and steering input. I was able to run that time, and you could too, but it is a challenge and it won't be easy.

Special thanks: GTP_CSL

Awesome setup! I have been trying to set up my RUFs lately, great job.

Thanks bro! What part of Modesto are you from?

Ok thanks. I was having a bad day health wise, I needed to get some sleep.
I will be firing up my PS3 in a bit.

I'll be sure to try this one out tomorrow.Looks pretty solid 👍

Give it a run, drive it like a "missle" and you will be fine.:sly::cheers:

Just took the RUF out at Laguna for first run(1.28.888) left some on the table but wow wow wow little to loose for the corkscrew. then took it to the 'ring and if it wasn't for the kink before start finish I had a low 7.0x.xx but got caught out and DQ'd and did 7.17.255 and that was with a big off coming out of wipperman(I think)
What a ride holds the track beautifully and I'm a curb hammerer!!!
Thanks for the tune going for sub 7

I like the sound of that, she now has a name. Keep at it, you will be rewarded. Going to add her name to the op. = )

I just realized that I was doing the testing on sport hard going out later and do the run with the softs that should be a second or more off.

You know i did the same thing without realizing it.Put sports softs on and immediately could tell a difference in the beginning of the run.

Is she still shared?

You know i'm not sure. The next time i get on the PS3 i'll ask him, unless he gets on here before i ask.

*off topic* I've been wanting to tell you something. That picture you have as your avatar.I keep looking at it and saying to myself "i just know i went to school with her".She looks so dang familiar.

She can look gorgeous and other times.... Well she mostly looks great now that she's older.

got a question, how do I or what do I adjust to get a little more grip, either I've fallen off or the ring is like an ice-rink as well as Laguna now I have no grip what-so-ever, and I'm using SS I don't know???

perplexed

Not sure. None of the settings got changed by mistake?? I know my personal car burns oil like crazy, and I had to do chassis restore a couple times. Other than that no idea. I have my car on share, try it see if it acts the same.

It's a very light, powerful car going to fast for the tires to handle, drive with care.
You have to learn these cars slow-up, or you'll never run as fast as possible. But you also have to pass the limit on every turn after learning every line, and then go back to slow-up.
Very painstaking process, but the reward when you do get it is second to none. :)

Between this and the CSL it'll be a couple days till I have what I consider "good" times with them.

I was running low 7,07,xxx and on my way to sub 7 club, now I'm pushing high7,50's that said going to give it a rest and have a go with the NSX-R tune that zero sent me I love that car at the 'ring, or my tuned Honda CR-Z that look s like the spoon version CR-Z that need a little bit more work

It seems a bit past the limit for a car without downforce on the Ring to me, something that always irritated me personally, at a certain speed, cars don't gain from going faster, and this is on the high side of that.
I'm probably going to loosen the lsd accel, and increase the initial, change bb to 5/4.
Maybe not faster settings but easier settings.
I turned a 6:59.164 on my first clean lap, aka second lap, but after a lap screwed on the finish, and a spin 1/4 into the next, I decided to take a break and analyze some settings to see if I can drive harder with different "stuff", which turns out to be the aforementioned bb and lsd.
I figure in my hands probably at least a 6:55, in true "alien" hands, it could break 6:50, not sure yet.

Yea bud best thing is give it a rest, come back to it with a fresh mind. It can make a huge difference.

I know you have been busy lately so I am serious when I say "thanks". I take your feedback as a positive because your a wheel user and I am not. I agree the car is at its limits, but that is why I like it so much. It brings back memories of my Forza2 days driving around a 1000 HP Barracuda on stock tires around the ring. It was extremely difficult to drive fast, but extremely rewarding at the same time. And I feel exactly the same way about the RGT.

Hello all,

Tried this RGT tune and all I gotta say is its absolutely amazing. Handles like a charm as if on rails. Nice top ends too, and this will definitely put up a good fight with those 550pp italias online.

Have a couple comments/questions though.

Did the ballast position actually help stablize the car? RUFs i have driven in a car loses control when I downshift during a low-medium speed corner, but surprisingly this one doesn't, given its a RUF. (I am referring to the right hander before the end of section 2 at the 'ring) If the ballast position actually enabled the car to go thru corners smoothly like that, then props to u! If not, just ignore this paragraph.

Wouldn't the car handle a bit better had the rear toe angle be at something like 0.2-0.25, as supposed to the 0.06? Just thought if it was a bit tighter then the tail won't be stepping out as easily, especially on sport tires.

I am planning to use this exact same settings online, but with racing softs (not many rooms hav restrictions). Is there any adjustments that you would suggest i make before i bring this monster online?

Thank you,

PS - let me know if this counts as a review, if it does, I would be more than happy to see what you guys can do for me with a 458 Italia (600pp, NO wing)
