Hello all,

Tried this RGT tune and all I gotta say is its absolutely amazing. Handles like a charm as if on rails. Nice top ends too, and this will definitely put up a good fight with those 550pp italias online.

Have a couple comments/questions though.

Did the ballast position actually help stablize the car? RUFs i have driven in a car loses control when I downshift during a low-medium speed corner, but surprisingly this one doesn't, given its a RUF. (I am referring to the right hander before the end of section 2 at the 'ring) If the ballast position actually enabled the car to go thru corners smoothly like that, then props to u! If not, just ignore this paragraph.

Wouldn't the car handle a bit better had the rear toe angle be at something like 0.2-0.25, as supposed to the 0.06? Just thought if it was a bit tighter then the tail won't be stepping out as easily, especially on sport tires.

I am planning to use this exact same settings online, but with racing softs (not many rooms hav restrictions). Is there any adjustments that you would suggest i make before i bring this monster online?

Thank you,

PS - let me know if this counts as a review, if it does, I would be more than happy to see what you guys can do for me with a 458 Italia (600pp, NO wing)

Well in my tuning The ballast option is only part of the tune on a car like this. The rest comes down to how the suspension is tuned. The ballast does help though :)

On the toe angle it would cause a bit more understeer with the toe angle at .20 or .25.With it at .06 it helps to with the turning ability, but of course this only part of the tune.

On the racing softs part i know that the camber angle would have to be increased and the suspension would have to be a bit stiffer.

zero speed would be the one to better answer this one since this is his tune.

Thank you very much for the kind words. Yes the ballast did make a huge difference for the RGT at the ring. Stock weight distribution leaves very little weight over the front tires, which on a DS3 can be very difficult to control. The toe setting on the rear wheels is set on the very limit of what I can control. It allowed for stability but at the same time I could use the rear to help the car turn when needed. Keep in mind that this tune was set up with one goal, and that was to run sub 7's at the ring. For use with RS tires it would have to be re-tuned. Now this does qualify as a review, but I just bought a wheel so I need to get comfortable with it before I do any tuning. So it will be awhile before I can take on new request. Thanks again anymore questions please feel free.

Went back to this and was running 7.01.7xx kept screwing up carousel, had camera ready to post screen shot for my sub 7 record.

Zero testing your Lotus in a little while Know I can get a low.27.xx

Thanks zero. I was able to run a 6.47.xxx online lap (with draft) with RS in a 550pp street car race! hopefully one of you can get around to make the minor adjustments necessary with the use of racing tires.

Whenever you have time or starting to feel comfortable with your new wheel (which one did u get?), it would be very awesome if I could, in return, get a 600pp, no wing, 458 Italia, on RS for nurburgring! :dopey:

Nice lap! I ended up getting a DFGT to start. I can do that for you since you asked nicely, even though I am breaking our own TOS lol. Just like I mentioned before it is going to be a while before I get to it. But send me a FR when you get a chance. Thanks again 👍
